Building a Perfect Territory in the Mist
Chapter 72 - 63: Charging the Rankings, Earth Power Scroll
Chapter 72: Chapter 63: Charging the Rankings, Earth Power Scroll
The other eliminated players all turned to watch the three screens, their voices rising in a hubbub of discussion.
"I know Yu Feifei and Gu Feng, but where did these other three pop out from?"
"No idea, but they’re incredibly strong. Between them, they’ve already summoned five Three-Star Elite soldiers. No wonder they made it past the ninth wave."
"Yeah. To have trained so many Three-Star Elites during the novice period, they definitely aren’t ordinary people."
"Qin Lang, Shen Xing, Xu Jiayi... Go look up their files. See if we can pull them into our Neptune Group."
"..."
Some players began gathering information on the trio, while others were already contacting the factions backing them, hoping to win them over.
Evidently, after this event, the names Shen Xing, Qin Lang, and Xu Jiayi had officially appeared on the radar of all the players in Jiang City.
「Meanwhile, in the Foggy Void Realm.」
The eight players who had passed the ninth wave were oblivious to the discussions outside. They were seizing the opportunity to rest and recover their stamina.
Everyone took out the treasures they’d been saving, clearly intending to challenge the next wave.
The difficulty of the ninth wave was already outrageous, but quite a few Tier One Lords had managed to pass it over the years.
But a Tier One Lord who could pass the tenth wave? That was a truly rare breed.
The few who remained were the cream of the crop, each one supremely confident in their own strength.
’If others can pass, why can’t I?’
’I am a future emperor, destined to be second to none!’
’Bring it on! Let’s see just how strong this legendary tenth wave really is!’
At that same moment, a faint tremor came from within the Fog.
It was followed by the thunder of countless hooves, rapidly drawing closer.
As they watched, a group of tall silhouettes took shape and slowly stepped into the firelight.
They were clad in jet-black heavy armor and wielded matching longspears, their bodies wreathed in a black fog.
Even their warhorses were clad in full suits of black plate, with only their eerie, green eyes showing.
The Knight Captain at their head wielded a jet-black greatsword, and the phantom image of a black moon materialized behind him.
Upon seeing these monsters, the other five challengers’ eyes widened in shock.
"Fuck, it’s the Black Moon Knight Order!"
Outside, the spectators erupted into chaos.
"The Black Moon Knight Order? How can *they* be the monsters for the tenth wave?"
"This is bad, really bad. Those monsters have perfect coordination and a bizarre ability. Once you’re caught in the rhythm of their charge, you don’t even have a chance to escape."
"These players are in danger!"
In the game, some monsters are universally acknowledged as being overwhelmingly powerful and not to be trifled with.
If you encounter these monsters, especially in large numbers, you’d better pray you have four legs. Otherwise, only one fate awaits you: death.
Among them are the three great Knight Orders: the Black Moon, the Silver Moon, and the Blood Moon.
Many players had been taught a harsh lesson by these monsters in the game.
And these Black Moon Knights before them were at least Level 7, and every single one had Elite One-Star Potential.
Their Knight Captain, at the head of the group, had even reached Elite Three-Star.
A Black Moon Knight Order with this kind of composition was even more terrifying than a Boss Level monster!
A single charge from them would completely overwhelm even defensive Soldier Types of the same Elite One-Star rank.
「Foggy Void Realm.」
Upon seeing the monsters, two players immediately crushed their crystals and decisively fled.
’Whoever wants to be a future emperor can have the title. I’m out of here!’
Now, only six players remained.
Besides Shen Xing’s trio, the remaining three were the most famous competitors: Yu Feifei, the "Jaguar"; Gu Feng, the Second Generation Lord; and Xiang Dong, the fighting champion.
"Shen Xing, these black tin cans don’t look easy to handle," Qin Lang said, getting to his feet, his expression grave.
Shen Xing’s brow twitched as he silently brought Black Arrow into a defensive stance before him.
The detachment of the Black Moon Knight Order they faced numbered upwards of forty.
Each one wielded a jet-black longspear and wore matching plate armor, a crescent moon insignia emblazoned on their chests.
He could sense that even though these Knights were only Elite Level, the pressure they exuded was even greater than what he’d felt when facing the hundred-strong Dark Naga army.
What was stranger still was that Shen Xing couldn’t sense the aura of any individual Knight; it was as if they were a single, collective entity.
’Is this the Effect of their Bonds?’
’Or some other ability?’
But these tin cans didn’t give him much time to ponder.
The Knight Captain at their head raised his black greatsword and pointed it forward. In an instant, his warhorse shot forward like a bolt of lightning.
The forty-odd Knights behind him charged in perfect unison.
RUMBLE... RUMBLE RUMBLE...
The heavy thud of hooves was like the earth itself drumming. The oncoming pressure felt like a fully loaded hundred-ton truck charging at you at over sixty miles per hour.
...
...
"Zhou Zheng, do you think those three kids have a handle on this?"
In the parking lot of Bright Moon Bay Park, a group of people stared at the display screens, their expressions grave.
An elderly man addressed as Elder Wang stood with his hands behind his back, his voice low. "They haven’t crushed their crystals. Are they planning to challenge the Black Moon Knight Order?"
"Elder Wang, I don’t know either..."
Zhou Zheng gave a wry, helpless smile. "Those three... they’ve been in the game for less than half a month. They probably don’t even know what the Black Moon Knight Order is."
"Less than half a month... What?!"
Everyone was stunned, as if they had just heard something utterly absurd.
Even the surrounding players were dumbfounded, their eyes wide with disbelief.
’They’ve trained so many Elite Three-Star soldiers in less than half a month?’
"Zhou Zheng, you’re not joking, are you?" Jiang Rong pressed.
"Elder Jiang, I wouldn’t dare joke about something like this," Zhou Zheng replied with a sigh.
