Shen Xing didn’t know that Dolores had teamed up with the other geniuses to pressure Lachlan.

He lay on the massive bed and had a wonderful night’s sleep.

It wasn’t until a little past eight the next morning that he was woken up by the doorbell.

DING-DONG!

’Who’s ringing the doorbell this early in the morning?’

Shen Xing rubbed his eyes, wondering, "Have the things I ordered arrived?"

He logged into the trading interface and took a look. It showed that the items he’d purchased were still being processed.

’It’s not the delivery, so who could it be?’

Still puzzled, Shen Xing went to the first-floor hall and looked at the security monitor.

What greeted his eyes was a pair of long, straight, tanned legs.

The form-fitting shorts hugged her slender waist, so tight that they dug into the soft, delicate skin at the top of her thighs.

Since the camera was mounted low and the figure at the door was rather tall, her long legs took up almost the entire screen from this angle.

"Shen Xing, are you awake?" Yu Feifei stood at the gate, shouting into the intercom.

"I’m awake. What is it?"

"Open up. I have something to discuss with you." Yu Feifei bent down and poked the camera with her finger.

"Can’t you just say it at the gate?" Shen Xing said. "A man and woman, all alone... what if the neighbors see you coming into my house? My reputation would be ruined."

Yu Feifei’s expression stiffened, and she ground her teeth. "Are you going to open it or not?"

"Nope."

"Is that so?" Yu Feifei sneered. "In that case, I might just have to spread the word about a certain someone’s ’glorious deeds.’"

"’Glorious deeds’? I have no idea what you’re talking about," Shen Xing said with a look of confusion. "Do you have any proof?"

Yu Feifei fell silent for a moment. She knew he would deny it no matter what.

However, she didn’t seem worried. Instead, the corners of her lips curved into a dangerous smile.

Then, she pulled her phone from her shorts pocket and started playing a video.

The video showed the back of a figure in a wheelchair in the courtyard, chanting an ancient summoning spell.

"You recorded me?" Shen Xing’s expression faltered. He asked in disbelief, "Are you some kind of pervert?"

"Heh, I wasn’t secretly recording you," Yu Feifei said disdainfully. "I just wanted to take some video of the rain that day and happened to see someone next door, so I filmed him as well."

"You think I believe that?" Shen Xing was speechless.

"Believe it or not."

Yu Feifei put her phone away and said casually, "Do me a small favor, and I’ll delete this video."

"Mr. Shen Xing, you wouldn’t want a video of you getting posted online, would you?"

"After all, you’re number one on two leaderboards, a celebrity in the Celestial Star Country. This would have a terrible effect on your reputation."

Shen Xing fell silent, then wheeled himself into the front yard.

He could tell she didn’t actually have any malicious intent or any thoughts of blackmailing him.

It was just one video; no one would take it seriously anyway.

Besides, if she really wanted to get in, a simple iron gate wouldn’t be enough to stop her.

Yu Feifei, cradling a cardboard box, strode straight toward him on her long, tanned legs.

Her flats made a tapping sound on the rain-slicked flagstones.

"All right, spit it out. What do you want?" Shen Xing shot her a weary glance.

"I need you to look after Duoduo for a few days."

"Who’s Duoduo?"

"My cat."

Yu Feifei pushed the box in her arms toward him. A faint rustling came from inside, like a small animal was moving around.

Shen Xing paused. "I’ve never had a cat before. I’m not sure I’m the right person for this."

"It’s fine. Duoduo is very well-behaved; she won’t run all over the place," Yu Feifei said casually. "I brought her food and a litter box. All you have to do is give her some water."

"I have to go to Yun City for a few days to participate in a Two-Star Secret Realm. I live alone, and I don’t want to leave Duoduo at a pet shop."

"So I can only ask my dear neighbor for help."

Shen Xing thought for a moment and was just about to refuse.

Just then, Yu Feifei added, "By the way, when I get back from Yun City, I’ll give you a Large Soul Stone."

"No problem. We’re neighbors, we should help each other out," Shen Xing readily agreed.

Yu Feifei glanced at him, a smile breaking across her coolly beautiful face.

Shen Xing then led her into the living room.

"Duoduo can just stay here. She won’t wander off."

Yu Feifei walked over to a corner by the staircase, bent over, and gently set down the box.

Shen Xing leaned in and peered inside.

Inside the box, a small, milky-white kitten was nestled on a soft cushion.

A pair of luminous green eyes stared curiously at Shen Xing.

’He had to admit, the little thing was pretty cute.’

"What do you think? Duoduo’s adorable, isn’t she?" Yu Feifei asked, squatting down and tilting her head.

Shen Xing nodded and was about to say something.

But as he lowered his head, his gaze happened to catch a flash of dazzlingly fair, soft skin past the loose collar of her shirt.

Lower down, her form-fitting denim shorts clung to her lower body, perfectly accentuating her full, perky curves.

He nonchalantly averted his gaze.

"Oh, right, let’s add each other on Green Bubble," Yu Feifei said, pulling out her phone. "If anything comes up, you can just message me directly."

Shen Xing hesitated for a moment before pulling out his own phone and letting her scan his QR code.

A friend request popped up.

[’She and Her Cat’ has requested to add you as a friend...]

Seeing this familiar ID, Shen Xing looked up and stared blankly at the woman before him.

A slight smile touched Yu Feifei’s lips. She reached out and tapped ’Accept’ on his screen for him.

"All right, I’ll be going now."

Yu Feifei stood up. Her nearly six-foot frame was actually a bit intimidating. "Take good care of Duoduo, Mr. King of the Sky."

With that, she strode off on her long legs and cheerfully departed from the living room.
