Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game
Chapter 974 - 509: Memories Like Smoke, Past Like a Dream
Do I need to sacrifice myself for the boss? Is that woman named Eliza Bell deceiving him? A one-night stand isn’t beyond him, but where exactly did it go wrong? He just finds himself disliking it, but now he really must find Eliza Bell. The sooner such matters are resolved, the better.
If he must begin a ruthless slaughter, then he should sharpen his knives a bit more. He prefers quick and decisive battles.
Although he frequently cursed that inhumane boss in his heart, working like a madman with hardly any personal time for several years, now that such a thing has indeed happened, he should help him. It’s a father’s revenge, and only personally ending the enemy will be satisfying.
The outside world has always thought of Joshua Hughes as ruthless, but that’s not the case. If Joshua didn’t have a shred of mercy or softness, if not for his mother’s sake, Conny Hughes might have been dealt with long ago. But now that Avery Jane has been dragged into this, the boss seems unable to hold back.
Julian Carter’s handsome face stiffened slightly, and just the thought of Eliza Bell brought on a headache. He felt somewhat out of control, and it was extremely annoying. Was it her temperament that was out of control, or her beauty? Even he didn’t know.
His long fingers tightly gripped the steering wheel as he pressed the gas pedal and headed toward the park. He arrived as promised, hoping she wouldn’t disappoint him.
The woman standing at the park entrance was indeed her. Today, she seemed to be about business, wearing a black petite suit with the top buttons of her white shirt undone, revealing at least nearly three undone buttons. Her elegant, sexy clavicle was on full display, hinting at a deep cleavage underneath. Her nine-point pants were paired with black heels over ten centimeters tall. She wasn’t particularly short, and her proportions were excellent. What was she planning on doing wearing those killer heels?
The sleek black business car came to a handsome stop right in front of her. Eliza Bell had a slight smile at the corner of her mouth as she opened the car door and sat inside......
She wanted to laugh; she really enjoyed seeing that cold expression on this man’s face with a hint of frustration, which she found extraordinarily satisfying. Glancing at her phone: "Hmm, it’s only seven o’clock, is this a bit too early?" Her body leaned slightly forward, and waves of sweet and alluring scent wafted over.
:"Sit properly and fasten your seatbelt." Julian Carter coldly glanced at her.
Her bright fox-like eyes blinked: "Aren’t safety measures supposed to be a man’s job?"
Julian Carter could no longer say anything; he felt like he might vomit blood. As he floored the accelerator, he performed a spectacular drift, almost sending her flying out of her seat.
No tenderness for beautiful women, this man really.......
:"Let go." Just as she had inwardly teased him with two nicknames, his voice coldly came through. When the car had switched angles, she had grabbed his sturdy arm to avoid the danger of being tossed against the window. Hearing his words, she sullenly released her hand: "Your muscles are quite firm." Even as she let go, she didn’t forget to give it a squeeze.
A female rogue, a ruffian......
She watched the driving man with amused eyes, wondering how he might taste?
Was this woman reckless with her life, or stubbornly refusing to fasten her seatbelt? Julian Carter’s face was cold as he reached over, grabbed the seatbelt with one hand, and buckled it up. The entire action was clean and smooth, completed in one go.
Playing with her phone, she wanted to take a picture of his profile, but the current angle wasn’t the best: "Where are we going now?"
:"A hotel." His voice was light, with a hint of magnetism.
Eliza Bell rolled her eyes at him: "I already told you, it’s seven o’clock, isn’t it too early?" Such a man lacked any sense of romance.
:"Then what do you want to do?" Julian Carter spoke through gritted teeth. Damn it, this cursed woman was driving him crazy.
Eliza Bell noticed the man’s face turning nearly livid, smiling seductively and tapping his shoulder with enchanting fingers: "How about we grab a drink first, okay?" The tail of her question trailed long, lingering like swirling smoke, filling the car.
Julian Carter struggled to resist the urge to throw her out of the car, his eyes as dark as the present night sky. This woman was always playing games, pushing him to the brink of losing his composure. There really was no one else who could provoke him like this before.
