Bloodbound Codex: I Grow Stronger in Secret
Chapter 318: Demious Armageddeon
"Unfortunately, I would need to take my leave now, or the time dilation may cause some unnecessary changes to the circumstances I am in." Melina immediately lifted her head in one swift motion after hearing those words, her eyes fixing on Atlas.
She seemed to understand that he could no longer remain in Frostars simply because he had already spent far more time here than he had originally intended. Atlas looked at her for a moment before continuing, "Maybe I will see it some other time in a different world, or maybe...in my own world."
His voice remained calm, but there was a slight finality in his words as he prepared to leave.
Atlas then turned toward the three Conclave members, who had remained silently observing the conversation without interfering. Just as he was about to say something, the captain suddenly spoke, "You want to know our names, right?"
Atlas paused and looked toward him before giving a small nod. Of course he wanted to know, considering that he had already given them his own name and had no reason to remain ignorant of the identities of the people standing in front of him.
The captain smiled faintly before introducing himself and the two others, "I am Aurevian. She is Mistlene, and he is Beldxom."
The names seemed to echo throughout the entire world as if they each carried a weight of their own, Atlas noticed this strange phenomenon and thought, ’Is this also one of the things that happen when someone gets that powerful? First was the title and now even their names...’
Atlas turned his eyes toward each of the three figures as their names were given before giving another small nod. Aurevian then continued, "From your conversation and your race, you seem to be from a world that is far away from here."
Atlas remained silent as Aurevian snapped his fingers again, causing another small talisman to appear in front of him. The talisman floated between them for a moment before Aurevian continued speaking. "Regardless of that, we offer you and your world the opportunity to join the Conclave."
Atlas looked at the talisman for a long moment with narrowed eyes before finally shaking his head. "Sorry, but I have no intention of joining any organization or world. As I said, I am new to the matters of the galaxy, so before I come to know anything, it is better that I keep my distance from everyone."
He wasn’t interested in becoming involved with a large organization simply because it offered protection, especially when he still knew almost nothing about the galaxy.
The Black Arbiter looked at Atlas calmly for a moment before snapping his fingers again, causing the talisman to disappear, "I guess we shall respect your choice? But do think about it at another time."
Atlas then looked toward the three Conclave members one last time, "I am running out of time now. It’s time to leave."
With that, Atlas raised his hand and snapped his fingers, while the eye symbols within his eyes glowed ever so slightly. The logic of space around his body immediately changed according to his will, and his figure vanished from the location without producing any obvious fluctuation that the others could follow.
The three Conclave members remained where they were, staring at the empty space Atlas had occupied only moments earlier. Their expressions became slightly narrower as they considered the method he had used to disappear, but Aurevian was the only one who showed a faint smile.
The Mermaid King also stared at the empty space with widened eyes as he hadn’t been able to sense Atlas moving through space at all. Melina continued looking at the place where Atlas had vanished with a slight worried expression, especially because the Relic Atlas had given her was already back with him after she had used it, leaving her with no way to contact him again.
...
Meanwhile, in a completely different location, there existed a place that was entirely separated from the Primartia Galaxy itself, somewhere that was completely different from what one would imagine the Weimbrons to hide themselves. The location was isolated from the galaxy, making it difficult to even imagine that such a place could exist in the same plane as the Primartia Galaxy.
A massive city was bathed under illuminating light despite there being no actual star or sun looming over it. People of different races walked through the streets as markets remained filled with vendors and customers buying and selling fruits and various vegetables. Children of different races played around the streets while laughing, and at the centre of this very city stood a massive palace.
The purple and white colours of the palace made it stand out among the other massive structures surrounding it. Inside this very palace, Trelisa could be seen walking toward the throne room with an irritated expression as she remembered the incident that had taken place just minutes ago. Her expression remained unchanged as she continued moving through the palace.
After reaching the massive door of the throne room, she continued walking as the door automatically opened by itself. The moment she entered, she saw a man sitting on the throne at the far end of the room, one leg crossed over the other as he wore a majestic red and white attire. Trelisa stepped forward and reached the centre of the hall before bowing on one knee.
"I greet the King Demious Armageddeon." Her voice echoed throughout the entire throne room as she remained in the same position, while the name itself seemed to carry a certain weight, just like the names of the three Transcendents from the Conclave.
The King remained motionless for a long moment before finally breaking the silence with his heavy voice, "I heard what happened, why did you not kill that boy? If you had killed him, you wouldn’t have returned with ’Nothing’." Trelisa swallowed hard as she heard his cold voice, then muttered while trembling slightly, "I-I thought if I took that boy with me and offered him to you, it would be a great asset to you, my King."
Another moment of silence passed before the King spoke again, "Is that so?" An amusing voice echoed this time, "Now that you have caught the attention of the Conclave because of your ’actions’ for an ’offering’, don’t you think you need to take responsibility for that?" The moment Trelisa heard those words, her eyes widened as she lifted her head and stared at the King.
Trelisa remained silent for a long moment before finally nodding and accepting his words. "I will take responsibility, your majesty, just give me this one last chance to redeem myself." Demious, the King, said nothing in response and instead looked outside the window to the left, where the drifting clouds came into his vision before he finally answered.
"This will be your final opportunity, Trelisa. If you are not able to redeem yourself of your own deeds, then I will be forced to take certain’measures’ that you know very well."
