Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 45: Abominations
The enormous mass of flesh and bone then began to wiggle, and from it, slowly and gruesomely, gigantic hands and legs seemed to emerge.
Crunch! Crunch!
The horrifying change continued as many arms and legs came along with many heads, some in the form of beasts, others even human.
Their mouths opened and closed helplessly, their distorted faces frozen in expressions of agony. But the enormous mass continued reshaping itself until it finally resembled a gigantic centipede.
But it was unlike any creature that had ever existed. Its body was formed from countless fused corpses.
Its legs were made from the limbs of different beasts.
Its enormous body was covered in human and beast heads, all twisted together into one grotesque existence.
With the crunching and grinding sound of meat, the enormous mass of flesh and bones seemed to transform into a horrifying abomination that came out of their nightmare, as it was too much to be called a creature.
Its size was massive as it fused, if not thousands, but hundreds of beasts and humans. Its length was more than forty meters, and it was about eight or nine meters wide, releasing a horrifying aura.
The expression of everyone changed seeing this horrifying monstrosity. Not just the gruesome image, but also because of the terrifying aura it emitted that seemed to make even the transformation realm experts feel dread.
They quickly guessed its strength surpassed that of the second-grade or transformation realm. But this made their faces more pale. The differences between realms became more terrifying as they went higher.
If the difference between the bloodline awakener realm and the Transformation realm is ten, then the difference between the transformation level and above would be a hundred or even a thousand.
Even Max, with an S-rank bloodline, was almost killed by a single attack of a second-grade beast, so the danger of this abomination can be beyond doubt.
But as they were feeling despair, the old commander noticed something and quickly shouted, "Don’t be afraid; it truly hasn’t stepped into that realm but is in a pseudo state."
"With our combined strength, we should be able to stop it."
The other sides of the city were also in the same situation or even a worse situation. All four sides were attacked by such terrifying abominations. The eastern gate wasn’t the side that was most heavily attacked, but the southern gate was the one that was facing the most danger and was guarded by the strongest leaders of different families.
The southern gate was the main route connecting Flameheart City to the southern region of the State of Silver River. It was the largest gate and had also endured the fiercest attacks throughout the beast tide.
Now, five horrifying abominations had appeared there.
Five.
Each one had been formed from countless corpses. Five abominations of different shapes created a terrifying aura that shook everyone. But the number of transformation realm experts at the southern gate was many times greater.
And more importantly, the head of the Flameheart family and other strong families were present here. So they weren’t without the ability to fight.
Different gates all now have to face these terrifying abominations. And this wasn’t happening only in Flameheart City but all over the southern region within hundreds of cities.
Such a massive scale of spells to create abominations all over the southern region in thousands of numbers wasn’t something that any spiritual awakener could do; even with the help of multiple spiritual awakeners, it wasn’t easy.
But now such a thing was done, and the nobles of the southern region didn’t even know which power pulled this or why they were doing this. This made the entire southern region feel terrified, like they were puppets under someone’s control.
However, they could do nothing and face these abominations and play according to the plan of the hidden mastermind who was controlling the entire beast tide.
At the eastern gate, the five transformation experts were serious as they faced the centipede abomination.
"What!"
"Dodge!"
Whoosh!
The centipede, from its numerous heads embedded on its body, suddenly fired bone spears faster than the speed of sound as they created sonic booms.
The five Transformation Realm experts immediately scattered.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The bone spears struck the ground and walls with terrifying force. Cracks spread across the earth.
Massive craters appeared.
But that wasn’t the most frightening part. The bone spears were covered in a horrifying poison.
The moment they pierced the ground, the poison spread. The soil rapidly turned black and began corroding. Even sections of the sturdy city walls hit by the poison began to melt and crumble.
Everyone’s expression became extremely serious. The poison was so terrifying that he immediately understood that if they were hit by it, even as a transformation realm expert, they wouldn’t survive.
The abominations’ gigantic, horrifying body then moved faster than most transformation realm experts, shocking them. But they were veterans and quickly calmed down and started to plan how to face it.
On the other side, atop the walls, various beasts were still rampaging, and the remaining soldiers were still fighting them.
Max was also fighting the beasts here, but his focus was on the bit distant eastern gate. He, from there, can see the gigantic, horrifying abomination and feel chills.
The sight of that gigantic centipede abomination was so much that even the veteran soldiers and bloodline awakeners who had seen many things couldn’t control themselves and threw up.
Not only did they feel its terrifying, deadly aura that they had never felt before, but thankfully it seemed the five transformation realm experts were holding it.
Max and the others couldn’t afford to stop. There were still numerous beasts on the wall.
As Max continued killing them, a senior member of the Flameheart family suddenly approached.
"You!... You... And You!" He pointed at two brothers and few more bloodline awakeners close by.
Max turned his head.
Then the senior member pointed toward the city.
"Enter the city and hunt down the beasts that broke through the defenses."
He ordered, as he was the next high-ranking leader after the transformation realm experts.
