Chapter 722: SFDI: Chapter 722
Within Fairy Tail’s base, the resurrected Mavis looked at the magic map spread before her, habitually making a thinking gesture.
Warren, who mastered Telepathy magic, was responsible for relaying intelligence from various battlefields. All members’ minds were now connected by his magic.
Drake transmitted, "Guild Master Mavis, our objective here has been completed. The Alvarez fleet has been annihilated."
Mavis nodded. Although it sounded exaggerated, it wasn’t surprising that Drake and Stella alone had wiped out the Alvarez fleet.
This was also within Mavis’s expectations; she trusted Drake and Stella’s strength.
However, she had no time to rejoice in the victory of the vanguard battle because the battlefield was not limited to this one location.
"I understand. What about the other areas?"
Erza transmitted, "This is Elmina. The Dragon Transformation magic is spreading, especially near the Magic Crystal Mountain. Residents are already turning into dragon-men."
Laxus followed up with, "This is Draciel City. The Wood Dragon God has revived, and we’ve also observed Magic Crystal Mountains and resident dragonization."
Mavis said, "All squads can begin their operations. Our primary objective is to destroy the Magic Crystal Mountains."
With that, Mavis turned to Warren, who was manipulating the magic map, and asked, "What’s the situation with the Alvarez army?"
Warren reported, "We just observed a massive number of magic power signatures belonging to the Alvarez Empire disappearing."
Mavis frowned and asked, "Where was that located?"
Warren replied, "It was at the location of the City of Fire God. It must have been the Fire Dragon God Ignia and his Ignis Temple that did it!"
Rather than the number of soldiers Alvarez had lost, Mavis was more concerned about the situation of the Spriggan 12.
Warren immediately provided the corresponding intelligence: "We observed the disappearance of two powerful magic power signatures. They should belong to the Spriggan 12."
Drake also received the intelligence, which was within his expectations.
Although Drake didn’t particularly agree with Ignia’s claim of surpassing Igneel and Acnologia, he was indeed a top-tier powerhouse in this world.
Moreover, he had now been freed from the restrictions of the Great Labyrinth of Dogramag and had recovered his full strength.
Even Irene, the strongest among the Spriggan 12, couldn’t definitively say she could defeat Ignia. August might have a chance if he went all out.
Only Zeref could be said to be a sure winner.
Drake wondered which two unfortunate souls had run into Ignia.
It seemed that right from the start of the war, the Spriggan 12 would be reduced by four members.
That’s right, four people! Because Drake and Stella were facing two individuals, and Drake was confident that neither of them could save the other.
The Alvarez vanguard force naturally had a commander, and leading this force was naturally the Desert King Agil. And accompanying him was also an acquaintance!
In Ishgar, the Council ranked the ten strongest mages based on various qualities, calling them the Ten Wizard Saints. Makarov, the Guild Master of Fairy Tail, was a veteran Ten Wizard Saint.
However, there were significant gaps between the Ten Wizard Saints. While there was no official ranking among them, the power of four of them far surpassed the others. Thus, these four were also known as the Four Heavenly Kings of Ishgar.
Voroud, Drake’s senior from Fairy Tail whom he had met before, was one of them.
Admittedly, the Council’s rankings weren’t entirely objective. This world was full of hidden talents, and Drake didn’t know how many powerful individuals remained concealed.
But there was no doubt that the Four Heavenly Kings were mages who had reached unparalleled heights in the magical path.
The person standing beside Agil was once one of the Four Heavenly Kings, and the strongest one at that.
In other words, he was once the strongest mage in Ishgar—the Sky God Serena.
Agil stepped onto the beach one by one, while Serena, equally drenched, didn’t look as bad as him!
Agil looked at the two of them and roared angrily, "Damn it, how dare you make me this disheveled! I’ll turn you into dust in the desert!"
Serena covered his face with one hand, adopting a chuunibyou pose, and said, "GOD is also furious! You shall make your exit before the Eight Dragon Sky God Serena!"
Drake said to Stella, "You pick your opponent first this time. Let’s see who finishes first."
Stella glanced at Agil, who looked arrogant and belligerent, and then at Serena.
Honestly, neither of them seemed like normal people. Compared to the insane Agil, Serena’s mental illness was too damaging to one’s psyche.
Seeing Stella point at Agil, Drake also understood the reason and smiled, saying, "Then let’s begin!"
With that, Drake moved. In the next instant, he was beside Serena and sent him flying with a side kick.
Then, chasing after the flying Serena, the two disappeared from the beach.
Agil completely ignored Serena’s plight, his gaze fixed on Stella, who had entered Dragon God Possession state.
...
Serena performed several aerial somersaults like a gymnast, landing on the ground in a perfect superhero pose.
He straightened up and looked at Drake, who was descending like a meteor, gathering immense magic power in his hands.
Among the Four Heavenly Kings of Ishgar, Serena was the youngest but possessed the greatest strength, and there was a reason for that.
Serena called himself the Eight Dragon, because, like Laxus, he was a second-generation Dragon Slayer—a mage who obtained Dragon Slayer magic by implanting Dragon Slayer magic crystals within his body.
The difference was that Serena had implanted eight Dragon Slayer magic crystals of eight attributes: earth, wind, water, fire, lightning, rock, light, and darkness.
The fact that he could tame the power of eight Dragon Slayer magic crystals was enough to prove the strength of Serena’s own magic.
And no matter what opponent he faced, he could use different elemental magic to counter them.
"You are a Fire Dragon Slayer, aren’t you? I am also a Dragon Slayer, but I am the one favored by the Dragon God!"
"Sea God Dragon’s Water Formation!"
A violent torrent of water materialized in Serena’s hand, and a waterspout with the power of a tsunami surged towards Drake.
"Fire Dragon Emperor’s Purgatory!"
Drake gathered flames in his hands and pressed them directly against the surging waterspout.
While elemental attributes do have counter-relationships, if the magnitude difference is significant enough, the counter-relationship can be overturned, as is the case here.
Although flames are countered by water, the flames Drake unleashed instantly engulfed the waterspout and burned it away.
Water evaporates and then condenses back into steam to become visible mist, but Drake’s flames were so intensely hot that not even mist would form.
Drake, surrounded by flames, said, "No matter how many lesser dragons there are, they can’t compare to the Dragon King!"
