Chapter 311: Waiting... waiting... waiting

Seoha’s POV

Why is everything being burnt or exploding?

"What’s with all the explosion news?" Yunah asks as she fixes my clothes. The young woman is a fashionista. She moves away from me to have a proper look of my outfit and smiles.

"Woah, you look stunning!" she claps her hands together and her niece, Haeri, repeats the action.

Sooin is sitting on my grandma’s lap and they’re all looking at me.

"Oh goddess" my grandma wipes her tears off with Kleenex, throwing it aside to pick up a new one for blowing her nose.

She had been crying since we woke up.

"I wish Minju had lived long enough to see you, my baby" she says.

Oh...I still haven’t told her about my mom and I don’t want to.

Let the past stay in the past.

"Grandma, don’t cry" Sooin says cutely, wiping her great grandmother’s tears off and pressing a loud kiss to her cheek.

"My mom is not going away, only marrying dad, okay?" the little girl says to console my grandma and I tip my head back to hold my tears back.

The emotions in the room is high.

Minjae and his baby are at the hospital running some check-up and resting. Yujun and Yeon are outside preparing the place. Haeri and Sooin would walk in front of me with flowers down the aisle. My grandma would hand me over to my mate. And Jisu would try not to say something to embarrass us.

I glance at the clock in the room and Yunah follows my line of sight.

"He’ll show up" she says softly as she arranges the flowers in my hair. She had weaved some flowers into my hair earlier and it makes me look beautiful.

"Thank you" I say quietly and take my eyes off the clock to look at the mirror. I feel like a real deer with how much work she put into me.

She made me look so beautiful.

I can’t believe I’m the same omega who was wearing a dirty dye-stained hoodie and stealing a few months ago.

I look so pretty now.

"I wish you wouldn’t wear anything under your shirt" she mutters, parting the shirt to show my belly better.

The white flowy shirt is long, and while the upper part is buttoned, the lower part is open to show off my baby bump.

"It doesn’t look good?" I ask, looking down at the camisole I’m wearing under the shirt.

"It could look better if you took that innerwear off" she says, looking at me expectantly.

Would Taesan like it? I think he’s more proud about my body than I am confident with myself.

"Baby, you have a beautiful body, why not show it off" my grandma says and I blush. "Mom, You want to show your belly?" Sooin asks and I blush even harder.

"Yes..." I say in a small voice.

"Sweetie, don’t you think your mom would be even more pretty without this one covering his belly?" Yunah asks and Sooin claps happily.

"Yes! I want it!" she says, bouncing with excitement on my grandma’s lap and I smile at my little girl.

"Okay...I’ll take it off" I say, giving in to their request.

Grandma takes Sooin and Haeri out of the room. Yunah turns her back and waits for me to take the camisole off. When I’m done, I put the shirt on with nothing underneath and I clear my throat.

"Yunah" I call and she turns, gasping at me and how I look.

"Oppa! You look ethereal like this. Don’t tell my brother, but you’re prettier" she says and the door creaks open as Yujun peaks in.

"I heard that" Yujun says and his sister fakes a guiltless look.

"What are you talking about?" she asks, pretending to be innocent as Yujun comes into the room.

"You little menace" he says, pinching his little sister’s cheek and making her giggle.

They’re so cute. It makes me wish I had a younger sister too.

"Have you heard from Taesan yet?" I ask and Yujun shakes his head. He looks sad with he answer he’s giving, but he manages to fake a smile for me.

"He’ll come here soon. I already sent my team with Gawon, Taerin, and Yuki to go search for him" Yujun says and my heart breaks a bit.

I’m getting scared.

If Taesan was safe, he would have called. He would have found a way to reach out to me. But since he left yesterday...I’ve heard nothing from him.

He didn’t run from me, did he?

’Alpha can never leave us’ my omega says aggressively and someone dabs a napkin under my eyes.

"Seoha, no crying. It’s your wedding day, it’s a happy day" Yujun says and there’s a knock on the door.

Hwang Jaehyun peeks into the room and his mate, Yujun, turns around to look at him.

"Is everything okay?" Yujun hyung asks.

"We need you, baby" Hwang Jaehyun says and Yujun hands the napkin to his sister. He gives me a smile once again and leaves the room.

Taesan, please come soon.

"Yah, wipe that look off your face" Yunah says with playful happiness.

"My big brother’s default state is being a pessimist, so ignore his gloominess" she rolls her eyes and sighs.

I wish Minjae was here to cheer me up. But I guess he can’t come unless his son is strong enough.

"Oppa, you’re really so pretty. Come on, let me fix up your make up" she says, maintaining the bright and happy look as she leads me to the vanity and helps me into it.

Hwang Yunah helps me with my make up. She keeps on praising my look and cheering me up. I don’t know how long we sit in here, but soon, I am led out of the room.

I follow my grandma blindly and listen to the conversations happening around me.

They say Minjae is finally here, but my mind is more occupied with Taesan’s arrival. So many Hwangyeon people are here. They are waiting for me and I’m waiting for Taesan.

My mate...where are you?

One hour passes. Two hours pass. And soon...my omega starts to whine with sadness.

Where is he?

"Would you come sit, my baby?" my grandma asks softly. She puts her hand on my lower back to guide me and I shake my head.

He’ll come.

Taesan will come.

Tears fill my eyes and suddenly, among the crowd there’s a sudden commotion. I look around, trying to see what’s going on through my tears, and I stop breathing for a second when I see him.

He’s here.

My mate is here. He’s covered in blood, dirt, and soot. But he’s here.

"Where’s my mate?" he asks in that deep voice I love and I almost fall to my knees.

He came back for me.
