Chapter 259: Our first meeting

Seoha’s POV

The meal was absolutely delicious, but now, Taesan wants us in the rain and I can’t keep up.

"Taesan!" I call, giggling as he pulls me through the rain, taking me across the half dead road.

"Keep up, little deer" he says, keeping his voice raised over the noise of rain hitting the floor.

The rain has turned into our favorite thing. We met while it rained, we had fun in the rain on his birthday, and now this...whatever this is.

"My back was turned, right?" he asks and I nod. He’s talking about when I first saw him at the hotel.

His back was turned, his phone was to his ear, and his face stern.

"But we weren’t under the pouring rain that day" I keep on laughing like I took a happy pill and he shakes his head.

"I need to see you under the rain" he says and I pout.

"Why? Noona’s dress might get damaged" I complain and he moves forward, board chest in my face as he towers over me.

"I want the dress ruined, you’re wearing nothing under...right?" he asks and I nod in response, looking down at myself.

Apart from the black pants, I have nothing under the dress that’s clinging to me.

"Good, I want you so soaked that I would see your nipples stiffening with the cold"

"Kang Taesan-ssi" I gasp, covering his mouth with my hand, and he pulls my hand down. He’s not done with his words.

"Then I can warm you with my mouth, I have more heat to give you than if you stayed indoors" he says and I look around to see if anyone heard him.

"Stop being like this, what if people hear you?" I ask, blushing deeply as water from my hair flow into my eyes.

"Hmm...I should repeat it all in English" he says and my jaw drops. This man is out of control, he’s unstoppable, he’s simply...unstable!

He opens his mouth to say something and I panic. I shut his mouth with my hand again, not caring that I look silly on my tip toes.

"Why are you being so shy?"

"You want to tell all the strangers about my nipples!" I whine, and he holds me by the waist to keep me close.

"I should tell them you stole my wallet instead?" he asks me, dipping down to capture my lips in a soft kiss.

The kiss is only a brief brushing of lips, but it feels satisfying...the last time we kissed was hours ago.

"Don’t do that" I shake my head, sending beads of rainwater to Taesan’s fine suit. The blue of the fabrics is turning darker as rain trickles down his body.

"Should I tell them how much I love you, little deer?" he asks and I don’t give an answer for that question.

"We’re in the middle of the road, Taesan. We could get hit" I say with my pout, and he steps away from me.

"Shall I show them?" he says, holding out his hand, and a man with a pair of sunglasses and a tiger-headed cane appears.

"What’s going on?" I whisper.

I haven’t seen his cane in a long time, and I haven’t seen him limping too. He still walks strangely, but not as badly he used to do during our first meeting.

"I can’t kneel without support yet" he says and I take a step back.

"Box" he orders and the man pulls out a box that looks like it belongs in a museum.

"Taesan...get up, there are so many people watching" I whisper with my hand cupped over my mouth.

There are people stopping to stare at us, even under the pouring rain, they are looking at the two men in the middle of the road.

"Seoha...my treasure" he starts and I hear a click; someone is taking a photo of this moment.

"Oh goddess" I breathe out.

He opens the box, and I thought I was breathless at first from the box, but no...no I wasn’t. I am blown away as he shows me the beautiful green jeweled ring.

"I never wanted to marry anyone...not with how my parents lived. They loved each other, but love ruined them. I thought I would be worse, so I rejected love in every form" he says.

Marriage...Taesan is serious about marrying Seoha the orphan with nothing to offer.

I feel tears building in my eyes.

"I did my fucking best, I loved Jaemin...but that bastard got to me and ruined me in a new way. I swore I would never want anyone else...then you came into my wasted life.

"You came from nowhere and ripped me apart" Taesan pauses to look at me and I shake my head.

He pinches his brows together as if he’s looking for something romantic to say but ends up with none.

"You...you thief" he says in hoarse voice, and I break into laughing and crying at the same time.

"Oh Taesan!" I exclaim, jumping on him and tipping both of us backwards.

"This didn’t happen during our first meeting" I laugh, hugging him tightly on the asphalt.

"We’re making a new first meeting. This is the version we’ll tell our pups" he tells me, and his guard with the sunglasses clears his throat.

"Sir...we can’t block the road any longer, the locals would start to call the authorities" the man says and Taesan groans.

"Come on Treasure, let’s go" he pats my butt twice, and I get off him, now drenched in rain.

"Thank you, thank you Sannah, thank you" I chant with so much happiness.

The alpha gets up using his walking stick and pats my head once.

"Now I’ll be the only San you want, right?"

"Huh?" I ask.

Did I ever want any other San but him?

"No more...Choi San" he spits the name with jealously and I giggle, holding out my hand for him to put the ring on me.

"Complete what you started, Kang Taesan-ssi" I say and he does.

He slides the ring on my wet finger. The beautiful jewel is slightly bigger than my finger...but it’s mine.
