Chapter 128: 128: A WIN.

"....."

June stared at him in confusion. "Huh?"

But before he could figure out what was happening, Nyx suddenly let go of his hand and turned around.

Nyx said nothing. He stared up at the crumbling scene as he pulled out his staff. Golden flames began building around him as he slowly raised it into the air.

June was confused. "What are you doing...?"

But before he could ask anything else, Nyx waved his staff toward the collapsing scene and instantly sent golden flames bursting through the atmosphere.

His flames swept through the crumbling space, engulfing the entire atmosphere in a chaotic wave of heat. All June and the others could hear was a sudden burst followed by a massive explosion, forcing them to cover their faces against the intense force.

AT THE ACADEMY

Everyone sat around the arena, eagerly anticipating the winning team. Their eyes remained fixed on the purple energy floating around the arena as they waited for the competition to finally come to an end.

Mr. Ken and his colleagues stood close to the machines, carefully examining everything happening within the dungeon while making sure no extreme danger could seriously harm those inside.

Mr. Kevin sat at the head seat alongside the other authorities, waiting patiently for everything to come to an end.

But Mr. Kevin was waiting for a very specific result.

He was waiting for chaos to unfold and for Nyx to go missing. He was waiting for that news so he could finally know his plan had been completed.

Yet, it was taking far too long.

Nothing was happening.

The competition had lasted much longer than it should have, especially for a battle between high-ranking senior S-rank Espers and a group of F-rankers.

Everyone had expected the Elite 5 to completely destroy June and his team, win within a few minutes, and bring the competition to an end.

But over two hours had passed, and nothing had happened.

This left everyone confused and wondering what exactly was happening inside.

Soon, Finn appeared back in the arena, kneeling weakly on the ground and looking completely exhausted. Everyone stared at him curiously, wondering what could have possibly happened.

The nurses quickly approached, helped him up, and took him away while everyone else continued waiting.

Mr. Kevin finally turned toward the principal.

"And what the hell is happening? Why is it taking so long?"

The principal forced a smile. "Eh... don’t worry. Everything is under control. We’re sure of it."

As he spoke, the principal turned and stared toward Mr. Ken.

He gave Ken a questioning glare.

But Ken simply smiled and nodded casually before turning back to continue his work.

Mr. Yen, who was sitting at a distance, stared carefully at Ken.

He was worried.

He didn’t know exactly what Ken was planning, but he had a feeling Ken was going against what they had instructed him to do.

And that worried him.

Everyone continued waiting to see what would happen next.

And soon, something finally happened.

The purple energy rotating around the arena suddenly became violent.

It began moving chaotically and uncontrollably, as though something inside was about to explode.

Ken and his team immediately became confused. They stared at their machines, which had also begun malfunctioning.

The numbers fluctuated wildly. The metrics rose and dropped uncontrollably, lights flashed on and off, and the screens began going haywire.

Everyone stared between the malfunctioning machines and the arena, which was beginning to act as though something was about to violently explode from within it.

"What the hell is happening...?" Mr. Kevin questioned hopefully.

"Is it happening...?"

The principal forced another smile.

"I think it’s happening... I think so..."

He nodded repeatedly as everyone stared at the scene with anticipation.

The force continued growing stronger.

And immediately—BOOM!

The machines sparked violently before breaking down in a sudden explosion.

Ken and his colleagues quickly stepped backward in shock, staring at the machines that had caught fire and begun releasing smoke.

"Oh..."

One of his colleagues stared blankly.

"That’s bad..." another muttered. "The Cosmic Dungeon Space has been destroyed..."

They all slowly looked up.

Immediately, the energy surrounding the arena exploded into a massive purple spark.

Purple dust swept across the entire arena.

At that moment, the suspense heightened.

Everyone immediately rose from their seats and stared closely at the arena.

They were all waiting to see what had actually happened.

And as soon as the purple dust slowly cleared away...

Everyone was shocked by what they saw.

Nyx, June, Ryan, Simon, and Kael stood firmly in the arena, carrying only minor bruises and injuries across their bodies.

Meanwhile...

The Elite 5 were lying on the floor.

They were brutally beaten up and completely defeated, covered in bruises and injuries.

And when everyone noticed the glowing purple gem resting in June’s hand, it became more than clear what had happened.

June’s team had won.

And they had brutally crushed the Elite 5 in the competition.

The entire atmosphere fell into shock.

Silence filled the arena as everyone stared down at the scene, struggling to process that impossible realization.

"I’m done for! I lost the bet! I lost all my money!" someone suddenly cried from within the crowd of students.

"How’s that even possible...?"

"How did they win? How on earth did the Elite 5 lose to them?"

"Maybe they’re more powerful than we thought..."

"Powerful enough to tear down the Elite 5? That’s embarrassing for them..."

"I guess the glory of the Elite 5 has gone down the drain!"

"Fuck! The impossible has happened! F-rankers destroyed the Elite 5!"

June slowly smiled and raised the glowing purple gem in his hand as a clear sign of victory.

Meanwhile, the Elite 5 slowly staggered back onto their feet, their bodies filled with immense pain and shame as they stared toward June and his team.

They had no words.

Ken and Mr. Yen watched from a distance with proud smiles, while the authorities stared with pale expressions of complete shock.

Mr. Kevin slowly rose to his feet alongside the others, staring down at the winners.

And at that moment...

June and Mr. Kevin’s eyes met.

June had a smile on his face.

His eyes openly mocked Mr. Kevin, who was clearly burning with fury and disappointment inside.

Silence embraced the atmosphere for a brief moment.

And then, the entire arena suddenly erupted into cheers.

The students who had once been praising and supporting the Elite 5 had completely changed sides, now cheering loudly for June and his team.

It was a clear victory.

A victory for the F-rankers.
