[BL] I Took My BestFriend's FirstTime Then Pretended It Never Happened
Chapter 40: The Woman in His Bedroom
Chapter 40: Chapter 40: The Woman in His Bedroom
"Don’t tell me you’re fucking another woman," Eloise demanded, her eyes flashing with hurt and anger. "Tell me who she is, Henry!"
Hearing the word girl brought a sudden wave of relief to Henry. Her assumption had given him an easy way out. He shook his head, managing to look exasperated rather than guilty.
"There is no other girl, Eloise. I told you I went to take care of something. Please don’t be like this."
Eloise studied his face for a long, tense moment, searching for any sign that he was lying. Finally, she let out a sharp breath.
"Fine. But if I ever catch you cheating on me with another woman, consider us over."
"That’s never going to happen, so stop talking like that," Henry replied, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close.
Eloise softened, resting her head against his chest. "Fine. I just don’t want to share my baby." She paused, tracing a finger along his lapel. "Can I spend the night at your place tonight?"
Eloise frowned slightly, clearly disappointed. "You’re really not going to let me stay?"
"Not tonight," Henry said gently. "I promise we’ll have time another day."
She studied his face for a moment before finally sighing. "Alright. Another time, then."
"Okay," Henry agreed softly.
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, and they turned their attention back to the passing lights outside, spending the rest of the journey in silence.
Meanwhile, Elisha’s car pulled up to the grand gates of his family estate. The heavy iron gates swung open, and the vehicle glided up the paved driveway before coming to a stop.
Elisha stepped out into the cool night air, the lingering adrenaline from the parking garage still faintly running through him.
As he walked through the front doors, the head housekeeper greeted him warmly and respectfully took the bottle of wine he had picked up on his way. Elisha smoothed down his jacket before walking into the expansive, brightly lit living room.
His father and all of his sisters were already gathered there.
Victoria, sitting near the corner of the sofa, caught sight of him and immediately looked away. Her expression was tight and guarded, as though she couldn’t even bear to look at him.
Elisha kept his composure and offered a polite greeting to both of his parents. His mother’s face lit up the moment she saw him. She left her seat and hurried over with a bright smile.
"My son, you’re finally here."
Elisha kissed her cheek before turning his attention to his father across the room. "Dad, when did you get back from your trip?"
His father lowered his phone and looked up with a measured expression. "Late last night."
Elisha glanced around the room, taking in the deliberate gathering of his family. "Why is everyone here tonight? What are we celebrating?"
Before anyone could answer, his mother turned to the domestic staff. "Bring out the crystal glasses for your young master."
The maid hurried away and returned a moment later with a tray. She handed a glass to Elisha’s mother, bowed respectfully, and stepped back. Elisha’s mother took the glass and handed it to him with a small smile.
"Your father just closed a massive corporate contract," his mother said. "We’re celebrating the deal."
Elisha turned toward his father. "Congratulations, Dad."
His father gave a curt, approving nod. "Thank you, son."
His mother immediately stepped over to the bar cart and picked up the bottle of wine. She walked back to Elisha and began pouring the wine directly into the glass he was already holding.
Elisha frowned slightly. "Mom, why are you pouring the drink yourself? You could have asked the maid to do it."
His mother gave him a fond smile. "Son, I’m your mother. Can’t I take care of you myself once in a while?"
"Of course you can, Mom," Elisha replied. Instead of drinking it, he set the glass down on a nearby side table. "The truth is, I can’t really have another drink tonight. I already had a few glasses at the lounge, and my head is still spinning. I’m exhausted and honestly just need some sleep. Now that I know why you called me home, I think I’ll head back to my place."
His mother’s face fell instantly. She reached out and caught his arm. "Please, son, just have a little drink with us. Don’t leave yet. Everyone is here, and I’ve missed having all my children together."
Elisha hesitated, studying the pleading look in her eyes. "Fine. Just one glass, and then I’m going straight to my room to sleep."
He paused for a moment before adding, "That reminds me. Tomorrow morning, I have something important to share with everyone before I leave, okay?"
"Alright, that’s fine, darling," she breathed, visibly relaxing.
Elisha picked up the glass again, took a polite sip of the wine, and set it back down. He straightened his jacket and stepped away. "Alright, I’m heading up. I need a hot shower."
"Alright, son," his mother murmured, watching him closely.
As Elisha turned and walked toward the grand staircase, a faint sense of unease settled over him. The entire atmosphere in the room, from Victoria deliberately avoiding his gaze to his mother’s desperate insistence that he stay, felt strange.
Something was clearly off, but tonight, he was too exhausted to figure it out. He decided to leave it alone and continued upstairs toward his bedroom.
Elisha pushed open the heavy wooden door to his bedroom. Everything looked normal and perfectly in place, but the atmosphere felt strangely heavy. Exhaustion weighed on him as he stripped off his clothes and tossed them aside, eager to wash away the sweat and lingering heat from earlier before stepping into the shower.
Before heading into the bathroom, he pulled out his phone and quickly typed a message to Henry.
Hey, pretty boy. Are you home now?
He waited a few minutes, staring at the screen, but there was no reply. Frowning, he placed the phone on the nightstand and walked into the bathroom.
The hot water helped ease the tension in his shoulders, washing away the sweat and stress of the evening. When he finished, he wrapped a soft, silky bathrobe around himself and stepped back into the bedroom.
He immediately checked his phone. Still no reply from Henry.
Frowning, he dialed Henry’s number. It rang once. Twice.
When there was still no answer, Elisha sighed and ended the call. He typed another message.
Are you sleeping already?
Still nothing.
Feeling increasingly tired, Elisha assumed Henry must have fallen asleep after taking Eloise home. He climbed into bed and pulled the duvet over his waist, leaving his phone beside his pillow.
His eyelids grew heavier as he stared at the screen, waiting for a reply that never came. Eventually, he could no longer keep his eyes open, and he drifted off to sleep.
Hours later, deep in the night, something disturbed the silence.
Half-asleep, Elisha felt the mattress shift beside him. A hand moved lightly across his chest, slow and deliberate.
He groaned softly, his body still heavy from the wine and exhaustion. Assuming it was part of a dream, he barely reacted.
"I had too much to drink..." he mumbled into his pillow. "I’m tired. I just want to sleep."
He stirred slightly, trying to turn away, but the hand didn’t stop. It traveled lower, sliding down his stomach before wrapping firmly around his semi-soft cock.
A sharp jolt of disorientation pulled Elisha toward consciousness. Heavy-lidded, he slowly forced his eyes open, expecting to wake up alone in his dark room. At first, the shadows played tricks on him, making him think it was all part of a bizarre dream. But as the hand continued to stroke him, rhythmically and without hesitation, he forced his eyes wide open, his foggy mind sharpening into absolute shock.
The figure crouched over him in the dim moonlight filtering through the curtains was not a figment of his imagination.
It was Jasmine.
Elisha’s fatigue vanished instantly.
"Jasmine!" he shouted, his voice cracking with fury as he shoved her away. She stumbled backward against the edge of the mattress.
"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" he yelled, bolting upright and pulling the robe tightly around himself. "How the hell did you get into my room?!"
