Chapter 27: Chapter 27: The Erectile Dysfunction Rumor

Henry rolled onto his back, tears of laughter in his eyes as he pointed at Elisha.

"Oh my God. Your ex really told your mother you’re broken? That is the most humiliating, unhinged revenge I’ve ever heard!"

"I broke up with her because she was annoying!" Elisha groaned, falling back onto the mattress and throwing an arm over his eyes. "And now my mother thinks I’m impotent!"

Henry propped himself up on one elbow, a wicked smirk curving across his lips as he gazed down at him. "That is devastatingly tragic, Eli. Who on earth is going to step up and prove her dead wrong now?"

Elisha let out a frustrated huff, staring up at the ceiling. "I don’t know. I haven’t been with anyone else except—"

He stopped.

His head slowly turned toward Henry, a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes.

"Oh, of course. I know exactly who can prove her wrong."

Henry raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Really? And who might that be?"

"You, Henry," Elisha murmured, a slow, wicked smile spreading across his face.

"Me? Are you out of your absolute mind?" Henry scoffed, grabbing a pillow and tossing it at his chest. "How on earth am I supposed to clear your name? Please, count me completely out of your family medical drama."

"Come on, you have firsthand experience," Elisha argued, propping himself up on his elbows and sliding closer. "You tasted it, you felt it, and you know for a fact that everything is operating at maximum capacity, right?"

Henry tilted his head, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he decided to have a little more fun teasing Elisha. "I mean... I know it technically works, sure. But honestly? It wasn’t even that sweet. Maybe your mother is right, perhaps you really do need a doctor to check under the hood."

"Henry!" Elisha roared, half-offended and half-disbelieving.

Henry threw his head back and laughed hard, the sound ringing brightly through the bedroom.

"You dare sit there and say it wasn’t sweet?" Elisha growled, lunging forward to catch him by the waist. "You’re the one who said you couldn’t sit properly for two entire days afterward! Or what—were you just too weak to handle my cock"

The teasing banter instantly crossed a line. Henry’s laughter cut off, his eyes flashing with playful fury. With an undignified shriek of outrage, he lunged across the mattress and tackled Elisha backward.

"Oh, you are officially dead this morning, Elisha Edmund!"

"Didn’t you start it first?!" Elisha laughed loudly, trying to block Henry’s flailing limbs. "When you know damn well I’m functioning at full capacity?"

"By the time I’m done with you today," Henry hissed, straddling Elisha’s hips and grabbing a heavy decorative pillow, "every single word your mother said is going to come true!"

With a fierce, theatrical growl, Henry started whacking Elisha across the lap with the pillow, aiming straight for his cock.

"Henry, stop! Fuck, are you trying to ruin your own future?!" Elisha shouted through a fit of laughter, grabbing the edges of the pillow and wrestling to shield himself.

"Shut up and just die already, you broken machine!" Henry crowed, leaning all his weight down on him.

They tumbled across the wide mattress, wrestling and laughing like absolute fools, the morning’s tension finally melting away into playful chaos.

Suddenly, with a quick athletic twist, Elisha caught Henry. In one smooth motion, he flipped them over, pinning Henry flat on his back beneath him with a triumphant smirk. He braced himself on either side of Henry, hovering inches above his face, his eyes filled with heat.

"Maybe we should run another diagnostic test right now," Elisha murmured, his voice dropping into a low, gravelly tone. "Then you can tell the class whether it works or not. Because I’m damn sure you can’t handle it."

Henry pushed against Elisha’s broad chest, keeping his expression stern. "Don’t you dare try to take advantage of me while I’m unarmed."

"Aren’t you the one who just spent the last five minutes claiming it wasn’t sweet or working properly?" Elisha teased, his fingers suddenly darting down to tickle Henry’s ribs mercilessly. "I just want to prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that it works exceptionally well."

"Get off me—stop! You absolute menace!" Henry shrieked, helpless laughter shaking his body as he tried to escape Elisha’s hands. "Leave me alone, you erectile dysfunction man."

"What did you just call me?" Elisha laughed, leaning closer.

They were still wrestling, chest to chest, both breathless and flushed, when a sharp, jarring sound cut through the bedroom.

Riiiiing. Riiiiing.

Henry’s phone, discarded on the nightstand, lit up with a persistent flashing display.

They both froze. Elisha slowly turned his head toward the nightstand, his eyes widening when he saw the caller ID glowing across Henry’s phone screen: Elisha’s Mom.

His face drained of color. "Oh, fuck."

Elisha immediately grabbed Henry by the shoulders. "Henry! Answer it. Pick it up right now, and please—for the love of God—tell her I am perfectly fine and fully functional. I’m begging you."

Henry struggled to hold back another fit of laughter. "Alright, alright. Just get off me first, you heavy freak."

Elisha immediately scrambled backward, rolling off the mattress and dropping onto the floor beside the bed.

Henry sat up and adjusted his rumpled pajamas, still trying to suppress his laughter. He glanced at Elisha, who was now sitting cross-legged on the floor with his hands clasped together in desperate silent prayer.

Henry shook his head, picked up his phone from the nightstand, and swiped to answer. He held the phone to his ear, his tone softening with genuine respect for the woman on the other end. "Good morning, Mom."

"Good morning, son. I’m sorry to call you this early. I hope I didn’t wake you up."

"It’s okay, Mom. I was already awake before your call came in," Henry replied, glancing over at Elisha, who was anxiously mouthing something from his spot on the floor.

"Good. Henry, I called to talk to you about your friend."

Henry immediately sensed the seriousness in her voice but pretended not to know what she meant. "Mom, is everything alright? You sound really upset."

"I’m not fine, Henry," she sighed, sounding genuinely distressed. "Your friend is keeping a terrible secret that could ruin his future if it isn’t dealt with immediately. It’s already starting to tear him apart."

"What on earth happened, Mom?" Henry asked, keeping his expression neutral despite Elisha frantically waving his hands at him in a silent don’t listen to her gesture.

"We can talk about it when you get here," she pleaded. "Please, Henry, go over to Elisha’s house and bring him home with you. You’re his closest friend; he’ll listen to you. Go help your friend. He can’t continue living like this in denial."

Hearing the worry in her voice, Henry felt a pang of sympathy. However ridiculous the situation was, the poor woman genuinely believed her son was suffering.

"Alright, Mom. I’ll go to him, and I’ll make sure we come home together."

"Oh, thank you, Henry. Thank you so much."

"Please relax, Mom. Whatever is going on, we’re going to fix it. It’s going to be okay."

"Alright. I’ll be expecting the two of you. Call me the moment you’re about to head over."

"Will do, Mom. Goodbye."

The call clicked off.

Henry lowered the phone with a soft exhale. Elisha scrambled up from the floor, running a hand through his messy hair in sheer exasperation. Before Henry could say anything, Elisha snatched his own phone off the nightstand, quickly pulled up Jasmine’s contact, and hit dial.
