"There’s a special drop! Let’s go, guys! Kill him!"

"No kill-stealing! This one’s mine!"

"Charge!!!"

The players, hyped up as if on adrenaline, all wanted to rush forward and waste the giant monster before them.

Fortunately, veteran players like Faraway and Li Miao remained calm. They stopped many of the others and began to further organize the battlefield, stabilizing the overall situation.

...

Unlike the main battlefield, the situation over at Sea Zone One was quite tense.

Luo Ge had assigned some players here as well, but their overall skill level wasn’t high, and the group consisted mainly of Mages.

Compared to the relatively stable order on the other battlefield, this one was far more chaotic.

"Bro! Help me stall him for a sec! I’m charging up a Magic Ball to blast him!"

Shore yelled to the Knight ahead of him, simultaneously raising his hand to gather power for a Blood Stone Burst. After finding the perfect opportunity, he finally managed to defeat the Firewood Thief.

Other players were scattered across the surface of Sea Zone One in small groups, locked in a chaotic melee with the Firewood Thieves. To make matters worse, Deep Sea Worms and other Sea Monsters launched indiscriminate sneak attacks, turning the battle into an intense, tangled mess.

But despite the chaos, thanks to the alerts posted by Luo Ge, the players held their ground and didn’t let a single Firewood Thief break through their lines.

Burton Mage hovered high in the air, chanting a Spell in a low voice. His Magic, wreathed in Warfire, easily dispatched one Firewood Thief after another who posed a threat to the players.

"Tainted flames must be extinguished!"

When he saw a squad of Firewood Thieves grouping up below and becoming a considerable threat, Burton Mage whispered a single word. He then raised his hand, condensing his Warfire.

In the next instant, the space before him twisted into a vortex. Correspondingly, another spatial vortex appeared behind the squad of Firewood Thieves.

Before the Firewood Thieves had time to react, a beam of light shot out of the vortex, flashing past them.

In the next moment, the areas over their hearts shattered with a BOOM, exploding in an orange-yellow light. The light linked together to form a net, completely annihilating the Firewood Thieves.

After the Firewood Thieves were destroyed, the orange-yellow light scattered, flowing into the bodies of the surrounding players.

[You have been affected by Burton Mage’s Magic. Spirit and Physical Strength restored. Attack Speed increased!]

"Damn, Teacher Burton is awesome!"

"I’m so moved, Teacher Burton! I’ll never call you a swindler again!"

The players, locked in a fierce battle, were suddenly moved and their confidence soared.

’With Teacher Burton here, there’s no way we can’t handle these Firewood Thieves!’

The players were invigorated and fought with even greater effort.

But soon, something unexpected happened.

Suddenly, an earthenware jar with bizarre markings fell from the Dark Boundary. As it shattered, a humanoid Firewood Thief rose slowly from the sea. It wore bronze-colored armor, its arms wrapped in tattered cloth strips.

In the center of its Chest Armor was an extremely conspicuous gray-black pattern.

[Fallen Fire Knight]

Just like with the Wood-Eating Giant Sea Monster, the string of question marks that followed its name made every player’s heart tighten. They involuntarily turned to look at Burton Mage behind them.

"A Warlock from Mithros Academy..."

"Why assist... the heretical Firewood?"

His voice was hoarse and heavy. From beneath his faceplate, his eyes locked firmly onto Burton Mage.

The Fallen Fire Knight actually knew Burton Mage’s origins.

Burton Mage didn’t respond immediately to the Fallen Fire Knight. He simply frowned, his gaze fixed on the gray-black pattern on the Knight’s Chest Armor.

"Who are you?"

Burton Mage’s Warfire was Ready to Strike as he stared intently at his opponent.

"I... have come... by the Fallen Fire Will..."

As he spoke, the Fallen Fire Knight slowly raised his left hand. An eerie black warfire ignited, and the tattered cloth strips were instantly soaked in blackish-red blood, which began to drip as a viscous liquid...

BOOM!

Just then, several heavy stone spheres came crashing down, scoring a direct hit. The impact sent shattered rock flying and knocked the Knight off balance.

"Gan Lin! Making such a big entrance, and you dare talk to my Teacher Burton like that? Don’t you know villains die from monologuing?" Baka Cat said, annoyed.

’We’re not dead yet, and this boss is just standing here flapping his gums. Does he think we don’t exist?’

With that, he followed up with another Giant Stone Skill.

"A stubborn stone that refuses to burn!"

The Fallen Fire Knight’s aura immediately turned sinister.

The Giant Stone Skill just now may not have been very damaging, but it was extremely insulting!

’These ants dare to challenge me!’

DRIP!

The Fallen Fire Knight didn’t dodge or evade the incoming Giant Stone Skill. The blackish-red, viscous liquid dripped faster and faster from his left hand.

The viscous liquid that fell onto the sea wasn’t diluted by the water; instead, it churned restlessly, as if boiling.

"Teacher Burton, don’t just stand there! Get him! Hit him with something big!" Shore yelled anxiously, rushing forward when he saw Burton Mage still hadn’t moved.

’If our attacks did any real damage, we’d have killed this bastard ages ago.’

’This isn’t a turn-based game! Attack him while he’s Casting!’

’Typical NPC, just standing there...’

Shore shook his head inwardly, chalking up Burton Mage’s stunned inaction to strange NPC behavior.

Hearing Shore’s words, Burton Mage snapped out of his thoughts.

"...Alright. Leave it to me."

After glancing at Shore, he nodded, then without another word raised his hand and began chanting in a low voice.

Meanwhile, the viscous liquid around the Fallen Fire Knight began to react.

After a moment of writhing, a mangled, festering monster struggled to emerge from the liquid, its bloody maw wide open. Dozens of pairs of mismatched, bizarrely styled limbs appeared along with it.

The creature was connected to the Fallen Fire Knight by a tendril of blackish-red viscous liquid.

However, just as the Fallen Fire Knight was menacingly creating this spectacle, Burton Mage’s attack arrived.

"ROOOAR—"

A deafening dragon’s roar echoed across all of Sea Zone One, drawing the attention of everyone on the battlefield. The players couldn’t help but raise their heads to look.

What met their gazes was a gigantic dragon claw, so solid that even its scales were clearly visible.

The Fallen Fire Knight, its target, also looked up involuntarily, watching the terrifying dragon claw grow ever larger in his vision.

SPLASH—

In the next instant, the dragon claw slammed down. Warfire blazed across the water, kicking up massive waves. Even the Deep Sea Worms in the water shrieked and floated to the surface as if they had just experienced a terrifying Celestial Calamity.

The Fallen Fire Knight and its monster, which had been posturing so menacingly just a moment ago, had vanished without a trace. All that remained were some Wax Oil and a few drops.

...

Burton Mage lowered his hand. His Magic Robe, which had been billowing in the sea breeze, slowly settled.

...Shore stared, completely dumbfounded.

’Wait a second... The Fallen Fire Knight... was just insta-killed by Teacher Burton?’

’That son of a bitch... He made such a flashy entrance, talked so big, and looked exactly like a final boss. I and the other players had subconsciously put him on the same level as Burton Mage.’

’And he just got insta-killed by Burton Mage just like that?’

’And to think I was just worried about whether Teacher Burton could even beat him!’

’So Teacher Burton never even considered this guy a threat. That’s why he was just standing there thinking about something else...’

Realizing this, Shore felt his face flush. He quickly ran off to the side to fight some Firewood Thieves.

Meanwhile, the other players present were so shocked their jaws hung open.

"Huh???"

"...If you had a move like that, you should’ve said something sooner!"

"Holy crap, what the hell was that? The Fallen Fire Knight had a string of question marks after his name, and Teacher Burton just insta-killed him?"

"Teacher Burton is a badass!"

"Damn it! I knew the old guy was holding out on us and not teaching us his best stuff!"

"Ahhhh, Burton Mage, I want to learn that! I want to learn that!"

...

The crowd of players was so shocked and excited they completely forgot about the Firewood Thieves lurking menacingly nearby.

Most people had only seen the conspicuous dragon claw in the Magic that Burton Mage just cast.

But many others had seen the truth: it was actually a massive, incredibly lifelike dragon!

And with a single swipe of its claw, it had obliterated the Fallen Fire Knight!
