Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis
Chapter 270 - 182: The War Begins (Part 2)
A group of Firewood Thieves landed a swift one-two combo, bashing heads and ripping out hearts. The independent players instantly lost their ability to fight and were dragged away one by one.
[DEATH]
Then, when they looked back, they saw that most of the players were actually covering for the Explosive Bull players as they released their Foul-smelling Feces Qi. Not a single person had advanced with them.
This pissed them off to no end.
"Fuck, charge! Are all you people just gonna stand there and watch the show? Bunch of fucking idiots."
One of the hot-tempered independent players immediately started flaming. Their bodies had already been seized, and they couldn’t use Resurrection for a while.
Seeing red, he started putting on a real display of biological diversity, outrageously deciding to take on the entire veteran player base all by himself...
Seeing the player’s foul mouth, the group of hot-tempered old-timers below showed no mercy in delivering some righteous justice.
"The fuck did you say? Is your whole family dead? You only dare to run your mouth ’cause you’ve got no one left, is that it? Who gave you the balls to talk to me like that?"
"Aw, if you’re gonna go cry, do it at home. We’re all grown men here; we don’t have any milk to nurse you with."
"I do, but I’m not giving you any. Nyeh-nyeh-nyeh."
"Holy shit, a girl..."
"Dying laughing over here."
"We told your ass to stick with the main force, but you wouldn’t listen. You really think you’re some kind of Long Aotian? That you just have to raise your arm and we’ll all follow? If you’re so damn good, how’d you get slaughtered like a pig by the Firewood Thieves?"
"Hey, hey, don’t insult the pigs. It takes a few people to hold down a pig. Him? One Firewood Thief could handle two of him."
"Fuck off, you dumb piece of shit!"
"Tian Wenjing, you know what I’m about to say."
"..."
The group of players could have drowned a man in spit alone. The shamed player’s face went pale, and in the end, he could only slink away.
This was just a minor incident on the battlefield.
Most of the players hadn’t even noticed what was happening.
Faraway was standing at the highest point of a central island, observing the state of the entire battlefield.
The Firewood Thieves still hadn’t advanced. They were just performing Prayers one after another, while the ones below only summoned the Touch in the Jar for probing Attacks.
Seeing this,
Faraway quickly made a decision.
The vanguard would provide cover as the Remote units advanced, concentrating their fire on the praying Firewood Thieves. Anyone with Remote capabilities was to use them, while the explosives team continued to deploy in echelons.
"Hahahaha! I’m fucking here!"
"Let’s go, brothers! It’s time to show them the glorious might of us Mages!"
"Low IQ Knights, get over here and cover your Mage overlords!"
"Fuck you, less talk! Boat drivers, get a move on!"
"..."
The boisterous group of players began to push forward.
Needless to say, the players weren’t exactly disciplined. The fact that they could even maintain a formation was impressive enough. Faraway had taken this into account, so his commands were simple and easy to understand.
Sure enough, during the advance, some players’ boats crashed right into each other. If their Spirit Fire Sails couldn’t be retracted, the entire offensive would have likely been delayed.
Nevertheless, stumbling and bumbling, the players finally reached the point of attack.
"ROOOOAR—"
Seeing the players advance, the Firewood Thieves didn’t just stand by and watch. They directed a horde of the Touch in the Jar to roar and charge at them. There were quite a few of them, forming a dense swarm, but their numbers still paled in comparison to the players.
"Kill ’em all!"
"Kill my ass! Look at the chat box, you idiot! Don’t move!"
A player quickly grabbed the hot-headed guy next to him, who was clearly used to charging in recklessly. Only then did the man notice the message in the chat box.
Remote coverage, take turns!
"Hey, Pot Head! Eat my Blood Stone Burst!"
"Blood-colored Shock!"
"Mithros Starlight!"
"Mithros Giant Stone Skill!"
"Mithros Star Fall!"
"Eat my arrow!"
The group of Mages was incredibly excited. They started flinging out one Magic spell after another as if they were free. The order to attack in waves was completely forgotten.
Dozens, even hundreds, of Magic spells launching at once—how spectacular was a sight like that?
The players within the formation could only see the following scene.
From the throng of Mages in the rear, Magic Staffs, Gloves, and Bows and Arrows were raised one after another. Warfire blazed, forming what looked like a wall of flame, followed by an even brighter light gathering upon the staves.
The next moment, a haphazard barrage of Blood-colored Magic Balls, specks of Starlight, coalescing boulders, and Arrows flew from the rear, speeding straight toward the enemy.
Despite the complete lack of synchronization, they made up for it in sheer, overwhelming volume!
SQUELCH SQUELCH—
BOOM! BOOM!
In an instant, the sounds of Arrows piercing flesh, massive objects colliding, and waves crashing filled the air. The Touch in the Jar creatures were interrupted before they could even cast their Magic, or in the middle of using a Skill. They were then drowned in an endless flood of spells until they died, and even then, the barrage didn’t cease.
"Wuhu! Fucking awesome!" A few players, stunned by the sight, couldn’t help but shout in excitement.
SQUELCH!
A few stragglers that slipped through the barrage tried to continue their Attack, but the Knights and Warriors at the front were clearly not just for show.
With a furious roar, Brother Mangzi led a group in a direct charge. A few swings of their axes and they SWISH SWISH SWISHED the creature into meat paste.
[You have dealt damage to a Touch in the Jar.]
[You have killed a Touch in the Jar.]
[War Contribution +5]
[...]
The offensive from the Touch in the Jar was completely broken.
But the players’ assault continued!
Faraway, who was still observing the battlefield, saw this and immediately ordered the players to continue the Remote Attack.
As the saying goes, there’s no problem that can’t be solved with an artillery barrage. If there is, just add a couple more.
