The girl glared towards the fellow.

Of course, since the girl was who she was, and the fellow was who he was, it was obvious as to why.

“Dear…” Adam called.

The girl turned her head.

“You should show a little mercy…”

“No!” Kavgak declared, pointing at her brother, with a finger like blade that threatened to destroy the entire world. “Gone! Gone so long! Brother! Brother! You!”

As the tears began to stream down her face, Raygak flushes slightly, glancing aside to Adam who held out his arms and made the motion to hug, and Raygak dropped, picking his sister up, holding her tightly within her arms.

“I was gone for so long, now you are so big, and so loud, Kavgak…” Raygak half teased, for the girl was almost six. In fact, she was not far off the age he had first met his cousin for the first time. As Raygak turned to look at Adam, the half elf held a thumbs up, for it was Kavgak who was the one they needed to watch after, for it was she who watched after the other children.

As Raygak held his sister, he felt the heaviness his sister possessed. She was always heavy, but he had grown stronger since they had last met, and yet she was even heavier than when they had last seen one another, a year and a half ago or so, almost a quarter of her entire life. His heart ached from the guilt, but he had to go, for he was an Iyrman, and it would be his responsibility to pave the way for the children, in the same way Kavgak was so responsible to watch over the other children.

Maygak’s tears were only kept at bay thanks to Adam holding her, but soon he surrendered the girl to Raygak, who held both of his sisters, each almost equally as chonky, though it was gentle Maygak who was, as always, sweetest to him, almost a year younger than her sister, and therefore, a year smaller, and a year less vicious.

Tavgak and Faygak stared towards Saygak, who held them upon his lap, allowing the two to clutch at him tightly, as if he would disappear. The girls’ eyes were sharp like hawks, and with their hawk like eyes, they noticed the gentle smile of their elder brother.

“Brother and sister must have taken care of you so well while I was gone, but since I am best, I shall watch over you now,” Saygak said.

Laygak’s mouth dropped, turning to look towards Taygak, who remained stone faced. “Did you hear that? Our brother left for just a year and some, and now he behaves like this?”

“Saygak right,” Taygak replied simply.

Laygak clenched his teeth tight, glancing aside to Adam, who also held his jaw tense, for Saygak, his sweet Saygak, seemed to hold such a bite.

‘You punk! Who gave you permission to be so cute? Who gave you permission to grow up?’

Damokan and Kalokan each lifted their younger siblings, picking up Minakan and Alykan first, each who allowed their elder siblings to embrace them tightly, but the twins then quickly turned their attention onto Inakan and Mokan, who had been waiting patiently, for they did not have an elder siblings who was within their cohort, so the twins held them tightly within their arms too.

“Inakan, did you cause much trouble?” Damokan accused.

“Wha!” Inakan gasped. It was a guilty gasp. “No!”

“Iyrmen do not lie.” Kalokan stared down at Inakan.

“Who told you! It was cousin Naqokan? Cousin Naqokan, you betrayed me?” Inakan accused, pointing at her older cousin.

“Inakan, you are Inakan,” Naqokan replied.

Inakan blinked. “Oh yeah.”

Turot picked up Gurot, grunting as he did so, staring down at him. “Gurot, is cousin Adam slipping more fruit onto your plate?”

“Yes,” Gurot replied, hugging his eldest brother tightly within his powerful arms.

“Murot, you are so big now, even bigger than Gurot the last time I saw him,” Asorot said, picking up his youngest brother, the two exchanging kisses on their cheeks, before the two chonky boys were swapped to greet the other brother.

The Ool children glanced at their elder siblings, Kitool and Faool, and since they felt a little left out, the two eldest siblings each also greeted their younger siblings, even if they had seen one another the entire week since they had returned.

“Who is this?” Turot asked, looking down towards the blue girl who was staring up at him, though she buried her head into Sonarot’s chest.

“This is my daughter, Amalrot,” Sonarot stated.

“Hello Amalrot, I am Turot, your cousin. I am Nirot’s younger brother. This means I am your cousin, okay?”

The girl peeked back at Turot who smiled, and reached out to poke her cheek, but the girl returned to her mother’s bosom.

“She is so big, and chonky, and…” Turot slowly turned, looking towards Kavgak, who had quietened down. “She is Amalrot and not Amalgak?”

“She is Amalrot, for your cousins returned with her, and since they could not stop fighting for her, I claimed her.”

“Ah,” Turot replied, though he narrowed his eyes, side eyeing Jurot.

“She is big,” Jurot replied simply.

“To think even you are able to face cousin Adam upon the battlefield of children…” Turot mused.

“Hey, hey, hey!” Adam pointed at him. “You punk! Why are you acting all big and wise! You should go back to causing mischief and letting me feed you!”

“I am too old for that now, cousin Adam, and soon, I shall receive my tatto-,”

“Jirot! You have to beat up papo Turot, or your father, your father, your father will leave, and your father, he will go into the corner, and he will be so sad, for your cousin Turot, how can he do this, how can he do this?”

“Jirot will not aim her words towards me, for I am her favourite papo,” Turot dared to say.

As Adam tensed up, his fists clenched tight, Jirot turned to look towards her mother, and seeing her nod, the girl returned the nod, and wandered over to her father, placing her hand upon his knee.

“Daddy, you may sit. I will deal with him.”

Turot blinked, and as Jirot began to roll up her sleeves, his jaw clenched tightly to stop himself from laughing.

“Fireball!” the girl declared.

Turot fell to the floor.

Jirot turned towards her other papo who had returned, inhaling sharply, her fingers forming a triangle.

“I am the sensible one.”

Jirot blinked. “Oh yeah.”

“No, even Asorot has betrayed this father of yours, because he is so big now,” Adam grumbled.

Jirot held Asorot’s gaze.

Asorot closed his eyes and accepted his Fate.

“If you do not begin the tale, I will ask your greatfather to speak them,” the young woman said, saving Asorot’s imaginary life.

Raygak’s mouth was open in surprise. ‘Sister really is an Elder!’
