“Gurot is big boy now,” the boy said, as though Adam didn’t know it was he who was named Gurot, nor that he was a big boy.

“Now?” Adam replied, raising a brow.

“Yes!”

“You’ve been chonky forever, Gurot.”

Gurot half turned away from his cousin, side eyeing him, before smirking. “Yes. Murot, also chonky, and so big.”

“That’s because he eats so well, doesn’t he?”

“Murot eats so well,” Gurot confirmed.

“I wonder who feeds him?”

Gurot’s mouth formed a tiny circle and he pointed to himself, eyes beaming with utter joy. “Cousin Adam! I do it! I feed Murot! I feed Murot so well!”

“Oh my gosh! No wonder he is such a big boy, and so chonky, and he is so lovely, because he learns well from his older brother, who is a big boy, so chonky, and so lovely.”

Gurot flushed, turning and sauntering off, then as he spotted his younger brother, rushed over to him. As Murot turned, Gurot almost crashed into him, and as he had been raised around the triplets and twins, who he called his nieces and nephews, he understood how to treat his younger brother. A wet kiss attacked Murot’s cheek, the boy cackling with delight, before returning a kiss upon his brother’s cheek, and as they held hands, they marched off.

‘So cute…’ Adam’s heart throbbed.

Adam played with the children that day, for he hadn’t played with them in so long, and had missed them dearly. They were all so big now, so much of them as chubby as ever, but who gave them permission to grow up?

Inakan squealed loudly as Adam chased after her, and Mokan chased after the half elf, until finally Adam had caught the boy’s elder sister. It was then he turned, and Mokan blinked, before Adam swallowed him whole within his arms.

Mokan blinked again.

“I’m tired now, cousin Adam…” Inakan said, yawning as if to accentuating her point.

“Then you may stay within my arms, cousin Inakan.”

The girl smiled, resting her head upon his shoulder, while Adam let Mokan go, but the boy turned, staring up at Adam expectantly, and once more the boy was within his strong arms, which were so warm.

Kavgak offered a cucumber to Adam, who cut it, allowing the girl to hand the slices to the lips of the children, from her sister to her cousins, those who were Gak, and those who were not, and she even did so for her nieces and nephews, who were all so well behaved.

“Good job,” Kavgak said, holding up a thumbs up, and the children all smiled, for praise from Kavgak was worth its weight in diamonds, and so free was she with her praise, for the children, they always did such a good job, and were the wealthiest of all.

Adam continued to cut all manner of fruits and vegetables for the children, who eagerly accepted all of the young man’s affection, and as he pulled Xarot onto his lap, he fed him a piece of cut orange, the boy chewing the orange slice slowly, half drooling, his fingers clasping his father’s, feeling how big it was in comparison, though he was once more distracted by his father’s fingers as they brought another slice of fruit.

The twins returned, with the usual suspects, Virot and Damrot, and once more, Jitool was with them, and they all gathered to accept the fruit from Adam, who held his daughter’s gaze as he washed his hands, and the girl narrowed her eyes towards him.

Tavgak returned to Adam a short while later, for though the girl had eaten her share of fruit, she stared up at the half elf, her eyes expectant, and as he smiled, the girl flushed, and accepted the cut apple, and she waddled away, biting into it slowly. Indeed, for she, too, was a chonky girl.

Little Minakan remained to one side, reading her own book, laying against the blanket, though as Adam appeared, she accepted the cup of milk, though would not let him feed her.

“I can do it myself, cousin Adam, I can do it,” the girl assured and she pulled her head away from Adam’s hand, causing him much pain to his heart, but he accepted her reaction, and once the girl was done, she stood, taking the cup away. “I can do it myself.”

‘You really do like to be by yourself, Minakan…’ Adam mused. His eyes then darted around, trying to find a particular child, sighing. ‘I guess I’ll go find her.’

Alykan snoozed beside Uwajin, who peeked open an eye to see Adam and as the two exchanged head nods, she returned back to her slumber, also surrounded by the other Jin.

His eyes darted aside, finding Maool with the triplets, mostly with Karot, for she, too, liked to draw as much as he, and as they doodled away, Adam considered asking Maool to design something for him.

‘Since Maygak and Faygak are together, who does that leave?’

“Look,” Jazool said, pointing down to a beetle, turning towards Larot, who looked.

“Jazool, have you seen cousin Minool?”

“Kaza Minool?” the girl replied, as though she had never heard of her cousin in her entire life. “Mm. She is running?”

“That’s what I’m afraid of.”

“I help you, kaza Adam,” the girl said, and with that she clasped Larot’s hand, and sauntered off towards her cousin’s side, who accepted her help. The girl gasped, pointing. “Ah!”

Adam followed her pointing. “Ah.”

It was as they expected.

Minool was fast.

The girl’s eyes remained focused on her cousin, full of such annoyance. The girl narrowed her eyes.

Indeed, Minool was fast.

Kitool was faster.

“Why are you so upset, Minool?”

“Kaka is so fast.” The girl puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.

Adam held Kitool’s gaze, for certainly, the young Iyrman hadn’t allowed her sister to defeat her in a race, for she was Kitool. ‘I always forget how funny you are, Kitool…’

Kitool squatted, staring down at Jazool. “Are you keeping out of trouble, cousin Jazool?”

“No,” the girl reassured.

The two hugged one another lightly, and Kitool allowed the girl to continue along her away, along with Larot.

‘Larot is duteous at least…’ Kitool thought.
