Becoming a Billionaire From Awakening a System
Chapter 145: Long-Term Investment Project, Yang Tianming’s Considerations
Chapter 145: Chapter 145: Long-Term Investment Project, Yang Tianming’s Considerations
Lin Feng exited the system interface, completely satisfied.
When he came to, he looked up and saw Yang Qiniang’s face filled with admiration.
"Brother Feng... you’re just too incredible!"
"Looking back, I can’t believe I even hesitated. It’s laughable that I was worried about that fifty million!"
"I should’ve just gone all in. With your money-making skills, Brother Feng, what the hell was there to worry about!"
Yang Qiniang said with a laugh.
"Alright, enough with the flattery."
"Out with it. What do you want?"
Lin Feng knew Yang Qiniang well enough. This endless stream of praise...
’He must have something up his sleeve.’
"I want another fifty million. I want to go big!"
A glint shone in Yang Qiniang’s eyes, a light Lin Feng had never seen before.
To be fair, Yang Qiniang had learned a great deal while working with Lin Feng.
While most of Lin Feng’s trades were quick, relying mainly on the stock market prediction chart in his head, Lin Feng’s grasp of timing and his decisiveness, not to mention the way he allocated capital, had taught Yang Qiniang a lot of practical skills.
That was why Yang Qiniang waited until the capital Lin Feng managed had grown to three hundred million before proposing his own plan.
"I plan to use this fifty million to make some long-term investments."
"Brother Feng, you know our capital comes from our clients."
"Aside from our short-term operations, our investment firm is currently lacking long-term investment projects."
Lin Feng had already been thinking about the issue Yang Qiniang raised.
After all, the company was still in its fledgling stages. That’s why Lin Feng had been using his prediction charts for quick trades, hoping to accumulate capital as fast as possible.
But now that their capital had doubled, Lin Feng was also considering establishing long-term investment projects.
For an investment firm, short-term, high-risk, high-reward investments were an accelerator for growth.
However, stable, long-term investments were a firm’s bedrock, its safety net.
So, as soon as Yang Qiniang finished speaking, Lin Feng agreed without a second thought. He had Huizi take the necessary documents to the finance department to set up a new long-term project.
The project was handed directly to another one of the company’s investment experts.
This particular expert’s investment style was known to be quite conservative.
He was a perfect fit for long-term investments.
Yang Qiniang would also be involved in a supervisory role.
Lin Feng planned to inject more funds into this long-term project as their capital continued to grow in the future.
Right now, Lin Feng could still receive two more weekly stock trend prediction charts from the system.
Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Lin Feng immediately received the next week’s prediction chart in his mind.
He picked out ten stocks and bought them just before the market closed on Friday.
He dumped two hundred and seventy million directly into them.
By now, Huizi and Yang Qiniang had grown accustomed to Lin Feng’s methods.
After all, every one of Lin Feng’s investments, which looked like reckless gambles, ended up yielding returns that defied all logic.
Yang Qiniang took one last, deep look at the medical stock’s trend line for the week, then turned and left the office.
...
Even after Yang Qiniang got home, his mind was still lost in the fluctuations of that trend line.
Yang Qingqing, who was eating an apple, turned and saw her brother just standing there in a daze.
"What’s wrong with you?"
"Your little sis here did her homework, and the stock market’s overall performance was pretty good this week!"
"You shouldn’t be looking so down..."
Yang Qingqing walked up to Yang Qiniang, muttering as she blinked in confusion.
"Don’t tell me you lost money..."
After a moment’s hesitation, Yang Qingqing shook her brother.
That finally snapped Yang Qiniang out of it.
"It’s late. Why aren’t you asleep? What are you doing wandering around in front of me?"
Yang Qiniang jolted, startled to see someone standing right in front of him.
"Brother, did you really lose money on the market?"
Yang Qingqing looked at her brother, her face full of worry.
Yang Qiniang lightly tapped his sister on the head. "What are you talking about? Why do you always seem to be hoping I’ll lose money?"
Yang Qingqing plopped down on the sofa. "Well, look at you. You come home every day completely out of it."
"The way you look, I can tell it’s not good news."
For once, Yang Qiniang didn’t argue. Instead, he grabbed a nearby tablet.
"Take a look at this stock."
As Yang Qiniang and Yang Qingqing were looking at the stock, Yang Tianming had already come up to stand behind them.
"This stock... Brother Feng bought into it last week."
Yang Qiniang briefly explained to his sister.
"You have no idea. Working in the stock market, my heart hasn’t had a single day of peace," Yang Qiniang added.
Standing behind them, Yang Tianming saw the stock on the screen.
It was the very same stock that had been all over the news lately.
After all, a stock that hit its upper limit day after day wasn’t a common sight in the Celestial Dynasty’s market.
’Lin Feng’s eye for this... it’s deadly accurate.’
’It seems I’ve underestimated this young man...’
Yang Tianming thought to himself as he stood there.
Previously, Yang Tianming had thought that Lin Feng wouldn’t be able to generate much of a return with the fifty million he’d been given.
After all, the Celestial Dynasty’s stock market was notoriously volatile.
Very few people managed to make huge profits from it.
But now, listening to what his son, Yang Qiniang, was saying, it seemed as if Lin Feng had a divine touch when it came to the Celestial Dynasty’s stock market.
His picks were incredibly precise.
This raised Yang Tianming’s opinion of Lin Feng yet another notch.
It also made Yang Tianming extremely curious.
Curious about the details of Lin Feng’s investments.
It wasn’t that he wanted to dig up the firm’s core secrets or get inside information.
He just wanted to get a little more intel.
With that thought, Yang Tianming quietly left the living room.
He returned to his study.
"Secretary Li... help me contact some of the people we transferred over from the company."
Yang Tianming sent his secretary a message.
Secretary Li knew exactly who Yang Tianming meant by "the people we transferred over."
To date, the only ones who could get President Yang to transfer people out of his own company were Lin Feng and Yang Qiniang’s firm.
Secretary Li had been well aware of the situation back when Yang Qiniang came to recruit.
Without Yang Tianming’s initial permission, those people probably wouldn’t have followed Yang Qiniang so readily.
After all, compared to working at a major corporation like Yang Tianming’s, the future of the company Yang Qiniang and the others were starting was filled with far too much uncertainty.
Yang Tianming had Secretary Li contact those people first.
At the same time, Yang Tianming opened his computer and pulled up the information on that stock.
Seeing the relentlessly upward-trending line, Yang Tianming knew one thing for sure.
If you bought in at any point while this stock was climbing, as long as you timed your exit right, you were guaranteed to make a huge profit.
’It seems that two percent return I mentioned...’
’...isn’t impossible after all...’
Yang Tianming’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the stock chart on his computer screen.
Other considerations were already beginning to form in his mind.
