Chapter 1045 - 433: Crystal Matriarch and Mechanical Emperor_2

Chapter 1045: Chapter 433: Crystal Matriarch and Mechanical Emperor_2

Just like the miracle race, even the smallest cell can grow into a Tree of Miracles as long as it absorbs enough Wish Power.

The existence level of the All-Knowing Crystal is no less than that of a Miracle Walker. The small crystals it splits off probably each hold the power to reconstruct the whole.

Now, having absorbed ample Primordial Spirit Core and Power of Faith, as the strongest offshoot, it has transformed from a small split-off crystal into the immense black cube before him.

One thing is certain: the current status of the All-Knowing Crystal is not its restored form yet.

He’s curious about what changes will occur after the All-Knowing Crystal takes on the black cube form, but unfortunately, the All-Knowing Crystal will not provide him with answers.

He was a bit unwilling and tentatively asked;

"If you want to develop further, what energy do you need to absorb?"

Unable to ask what its main body is, he instead asked what it wants to consume, hoping it would respond. Even during its small crystal phase, it showed a thirst for the Primordial Spirit Core.

This time, the All-Knowing Crystal didn’t pause and directly replied:

"I am already in a saturated state now. Unless energy is consumed to activate abilities, I don’t need to intake any more energy."

Understood, the energy bar is full, and there’s no room to consume more.

Just like Wu Chang’s experience points, since he has reached Full Level in the Desolate Realm, he cannot absorb more even if he gains more experience. To further increase his Level, he must complete an upgrade dungeon to enter the Realm of Reason to unlock the Level cap.

But how can the All-Knowing Crystal’s limits be unlocked?

He couldn’t help but ask, "What do you need then?"

The All-Knowing Crystal said, "I don’t know, perhaps what I need is an opportunity."

Wu Chang grinned. Even if the All-Knowing Crystal needed a Stone Base, he could go to the Bright Society to see what could be done, but an unknown timing — where to look for that?

Forget it, as the saying goes "the road will come to the mountain," even if he couldn’t advance further momentarily, changing from an offshoot to a mother entity is ultimately a good thing.

He set aside the matters about the All-Knowing Crystal and recalled the reason he ended his Meditation, turning to He Yun to inquire about the Peace Envoy’s modification progress.

He Yun led Wu Chang to another open space. The setup of the space was different from other training rooms; it was as if several blocks of a city were cut out and entirely transferred indoors.

Aside from the downsized high-rise buildings, whether it was the width of the streets or the footprint of the buildings, they were basically a one-to-one replica of a real city.

He Yun introduced, "This area is called the Simulation Killing Field, originally a place for the mass skirmishes between test subjects with rules similar to a battle royale in your world."

"I liked the setup here, so I transformed this place into a mecha test driving ground."

The two strolled through the city’s streets like a couple until they arrived at a large warehouse. He Yun clapped gently, and the warehouse door opened, revealing the inside’s enormous mecha modification workshop.

She activated the Mechanical Heart ability, requiring no control as the number one mechanical pod near the warehouse’s edge automatically opened, and the upgraded Peace Envoy appeared before Wu Chang.

Initially, the Peace Envoy’s modification schedule was tight. Even though He Yun could control several robots through the Mechanical Heart, there wasn’t enough time for detailed adjustments.

But with the Eternal Light Research Institute’s hundredfold time dilation, she suddenly had much more time to conduct a more thorough modification of the Peace Envoy based on her current research on Divinity.

The Peace Envoy standing before Wu Chang was drastically different, comparable to the growth of the All-Knowing Crystal.

The mecha’s surface still maintained its purple hue, but its height increased from six meters to ten meters. The once short and stocky frame became sleek and slender.

It may appear a bit thin, but it is merely an illusion caused by the change in proportions.

After the upgrade, not only did the mecha’s attack and defense remain intact, but its aesthetic appeal soared, becoming a delight to the eyes.

Even if the mecha’s performance had diminished slightly, Wu Chang could grittedly accept it, considering it an inevitable detour in He Yun’s design process.

As the saying goes, strength is a matter of versions, but being cool is lifelong.

Looking at the brand new Peace Envoy, Wu Chang found himself momentarily at a loss for words. He originally intended just to maintain the mecha and update its firmware to optimize some functions, but who would have thought He Yun would completely overhaul it?

A reward, a substantial reward is necessary.

Not rewarding such a meritorious person would chill people’s hearts, so he must personally warm hers!

He Yun walked up to Wu Chang, asking, "Do you like it?"

Wu Chang swiftly hugged He Yun, "I absolutely love it."

He Yun smiled, "Then why don’t you give it a try?"

Wu Chang nodded, letting go of He Yun as he prepared to enter the cockpit.

He Yun called out, "Wait."

Wu Chang turned around, seemingly recalling something, and kissed He Yun.

"Sorry, I got a bit carried away and forgot this."

He Yun rolled her eyes at him with feigned annoyance, accepting the "Mechanical Crown" delivered by a drone.

"I wanted you to wear this. I’ve already studied all the knowledge within, and it’s merely decorative to me, but you could use it given your lack of piloting experience."

Wu Chang took the Mechanical Crown, saying unabashedly, "To me, it’s not as important as the kiss I just forgot."

Grabbing the Mechanical Crown, he again approached the mecha.

As the Peace Envoy was custom-designed for him, only he could pilot it. Thus, this remodelling incorporated numerous optimizations specific to his abilities.
