Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4572 - Passion That Would Never Die

  • Next Chapter

Aeternal Beings claimed to be immortal, yet one had fallen by Tianming’s hand just recently.

“Jie Ba?” When Tianming entered and witnessed the tragic scene of Li Tianzi and Jie Ba exploding together, his expression turned hard.

“Shen Wu was just as arrogant,” he said coldly. “Now she’s a stylish decoration on my sword. Let’s see if you last longer.”

Tianming didn’t hesitate to swing his sword at Jie Ba who was still struggling to reform.

Jie Ba was momentarily stunned by Tianming’s arrival, but he quickly sneered. “Li Tianming, you’re here! Just in time to send off your whole family!”

“Shut the hell up!” Tianming roared in rage. Endless sword light illuminated the blood sea around him as the Grand-Orient Sword hacked apart Jie Ba’s struggling form into hundreds of pieces.

At the same time, a terrifying refining power swept out to greedily swallow the fragments of Jie Ba and the blood sea. It was the Worldgazing God-Refining Art Huang Qi had passed down to him, proving itself useful once again.

And this time, Li Tianzi had already paved the way for him... Tianming didn’t even need to fight. He just had to mop up all the pieces left.

“Die!” The rage in Tianming’s heart pushed him to the absolute limit.

Scarlet markings slowly appeared along the blade of the Grand-Orient Sword, gradually forming familiar patterns.

“This is for my brother’s phoenix!” Tianming roared, his words punctuated by Jie Ba’s miserable screams as a portion of his body and one-eighth of his power were completely refined into the sword.

The first crimson tombstone appeared on the blade.

“This is for my brother’s Thunderfiend!”

The second tombstone formed.

Then the third.

Then the fourth.

The four tombstones stood like memorials to Li Tianzi’s four lifebound beasts.

Finally, the refining power became a massive vortex that swept through the entire chamber, devouring every last crimson fragment and even the blood sea itself.

The final four tombstones emerged upon the blade.

“This is for my brother!” With Tianming’s furious roar, the last traces of Jie Ba were completely refined and eternally sealed into the Grand-Orient Sword as eight crimson runes in the shape of tombstones.

“AAAAARGH!” Jie Ba’s final scream faded away as he was fully refined. He didn’t forget to drop a few curses against Huang Qi before dying, but nothing could change his fate.

Tianming could feel his weapon had become far stronger. Five silver swords and eight crimson tombstones now adorned the blade, each carrying the power of Shen Wu and Jie Ba.

Yet Tianming felt completely different from when he had refined Shen Wu.

His heart felt hollow.

The blood sea was gone, replaced once more by the churning green slime.

“Big Brother!

“Li Tianzi!”

Tianming searched frantically through the chamber.

In the end, all that was left of Li Tianzi were a few black hexagonal scales. These scales from the Plundering Arm were the hardest part of the Sky Plunderers, which was why they had survived Jie Ba’s final blast.

As Tianming and his lifebound beasts approached, the floating scales slowly formed words.

“Tianming, we already died a hundred thousand years ago. To be revived and reunited with you, to pave the road ahead for you, to help you overcome another tribulation—this was already the greatest fortune of our lives. Do not grieve. Your brother will always live within your shadow...”ℯℯ𝑙.

The green slime moved toward the scales, threatening to swallow them.

Tianming furiously swung his sword, driving it back.

Then he stepped forward and carefully picked up each scale one by one.

“Big Brother...” Tianming almost felt as though Li Tianzi were standing before him, smiling. Without realizing it, tears were already streaming down his face.

His journey had gone relatively smoothly for a while. It had been ages since he had last experienced loss, let alone someone as close as his elder brother.

“So they really did die long ago...”

Ying Huo and the others emerged as well, no longer caring about the disgusting green slime around them. All of them cried.

It was difficult to accept that Li Tianzi and the others truly had been resurrected by Dao San just to lure Tianming into the Realm of Chaos.

But to Tianming, Li Tianzi, Li Muyang, and the others were already his closest family, bound to him by blood. Even if they were corpses, that bond never changed.

Back when they first met Li Tianzi, Ying Huo and the others had disliked his four lifebound beasts, thinking them cold and emotionless.

But over time, Tianming realized that both Li Tianzi and his beasts possessed passion that would never die.
