Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3975 - Mushan Xue

Chapter 3975 - Mushan Xue

Tianming recalled something and turned to ask, "What's your name, Big Sister? I'm Lin Feng." He had been so used to using the alias that it came as second nature.

"Mushan Xue of the Mushan Clan," the girl in black said.

Tianming hadn't heard of a clan by that name before, but didn't overthink it since time was in short supply. As he wasn't worried about her watching, he jumped straight to work. First, he collected all the spatial rings that had been scattered all over the place after the wonderians were reduced to essence form. From a cursory look, he saw that the elite wonderians from Saturatia-49 carried many top-tier treasures, both from the Upper Star Ruin and the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins.

There were countless imperial-class manna, ancestral fruits, and other cosmic artifacts. Among them, the one thing that caught Tianming's eye the most was Shiming Yisheng's cosmic relic. Much to his delight, Shiming Yishshi also had a cosmic relic longsword. The two could be used in tandem or on their own, like the Grand-Orient Sword, though they were two swords that could fuse into one rather than one sword that could split into two. But functionally, there was no difference.

"Don't touch them!" the two wonderian essences cried as Tianming picked the cosmic relics up. Their voices were filled with harrowing despair.

"Why can't I? Are these the symbols of your love or something?" The sword in his left hand was Shiming Yisheng's. It looked like astral rock and had an incredibly elegant appearance, as if it was a work of art. Its countless starlike sparkles made it even more precious. The other sword looked like pink astral jade and had a similar shape to the white one, only slightly thinner and smaller. It gave off the impression of a pink galactic river, pure and filled with love.

"Trilife Affection...." From the name of the sword alone, one could tell why wonderians liked them so much. They were the perfect weapons to symbolize love and unity, allowing them to fight well side-by-side. The white sword represented pure love and protection, while the pink one represented pure intention and warmth.

"Cosmic relics have artifact souls from cosmic godbeasts, and complete ones at that." Tianming sent his caelum into the swords to seek out their artifact souls.

"Stop! Those swords are ours!" the two shouted once more as they witnessed Tianming destroy the symbol of their love.

"Shut up. You'll die soon enough, so why do you care?" Tianming wanted to claim the cosmic relics and use them to hack away at their former owners’ cosmic god essences; the maniverse-class Grand-Orient Sword simply wasn't able to keep up. He eventually found the artifact souls of the swords while the pitiful wonderians watched. Yin Chen kept an eye on the surroundings for him.

"Huh, a pair of mandarin ducks...." It was the first time Tianming had seen artifact souls like those. They were by no means normal mandarin ducks that lived in lakes. Instead, the two lived in the galactic ocean. They seemed to carry an ancient, primal aura that suggested an origin beyond the Upper Star Ruin. In fact, they seemed more like beasts of the Ancestral World!

They coldly regarded Tianming's caelum. Tianming felt a hint of sentience from the artifact souls, which was uncommon, to say the least.

"Your original owners are about to die. I'm not a wonderian, so I'm unable to wield you like they did. Instead, I'll wield you both myself! I won't use you forever, either, but I can eventually hand you over to the reincarnation of Tian Jiu of the wonderians. Do you wish to be the first important weapon she’ll wield in this life?" He didn't attack them and plainly stated terms to test whether the artifact souls had any intelligence. No doubt, they had heard about Tian Jiu countless times, having spent so much time in wonderian possession. They might even know more than Tianming.

"I’ll kill your former owners, but their cosmic god essences will remain. You’ll witness a miracle when the time comes," he added. He could tell that the artifact souls' gazes changed from hearing his words. Then they submitted to him without hesitation, allowing the power of the cosmic relics to blend with the energy in his body. Though he clearly wasn't a cosmic god, he had more cosmic god cosmoforce than most so-called 'real' cosmic gods, which flowed into the swords and caused them to brilliantly glow.

I didn't know cosmic relics were so much more powerful than the Grand-Orient Sword! His eyes lit up. He had suffered due to having a much weaker weapon than the others and been forced to rely mainly on Bai Ling's power. Only when he had finally gotten his hands on a cosmic relic did he realize how useful they were. He began feeling more hopeful about what the Miracle Mountain could do for the Grand-Orient Sword.

"Our swords...." The two genius wonderians watched as their Trilife Affection submitted to Tianming, their voices sounding even more desolate than before as they suffered yet another mental breakdown.

"You've lost your swords, and next, you'll lose your lives!" That was the messiest part after the battle.

Tianming didn't waste any words and immediately thrust the new swords into Shiming Yishi's essence, opening up a hole like what Shiming Yisheng had done to Lin Zhao. The female wonderian had never imagined that the sword that would end her would be her husband's.

Bai Ling and Bai Ye entered the essence through the opening made by the sword. The essence shuddered and Shiming Yishi shrieked in terror before her voice gradually faded away, dying despite having her essence properly preserved.

"You’ll die for that! All of you dastardly natives of the Ancestral World will be wiped out at the hands of the Eightpart Pantheons' Heavenly Dao!" cried Shiming Yisheng. The louder he shouted, the more despair and rage he felt.

"Put it to rest. Count yourselves lucky for being the ones to die first. Otherwise you'd have to watch your comrades dying one after another, knowing that your turn will eventually come. Can you imagine the terror?" Tianming plainly said before using the pink sword to pierce Shiming Yisheng's rigid cosmic god essence.

He continued cursing until his voice faded to nothing.

Tianming tossed their essences into a spatial ring that could carry cosmic god corpses; he had quite a few of those. Once the hardest ones to kill had been dealt with, the other third- to fifth-level cosmic gods were no issue. They took less and less time to end, relieving them of their nightmarish existence. I bet Little Fish will have a lot to play with once I get back. He was already looking forward to it.
