Chapter 3976 - Reporting to the Imperial Lineages

Everyone in Skyfield Hall fell completely silent once the tracing rings had been wiped out. The wonderians' fight with the masked figure had attracted the attention of quite a number of seniors, while Shiming Shengshi's decision had earned their disapproval. Fortunately, Shiming Yiyue's sacrificial act of revenge gave them the chance to expose the secrets of the masked figure. Yet, right as the crucial moment was about to transpire, their feeds turned completely dark.

People looked at the round table high up above them that resembled a celestial disc. The ruler of the Saturatia wonderians, the Saturatia Dreamlord, sat there in their fused form. They appeared androgynous and completely untouchable, being thousands of meters tall and surrounded by platinum-colored nebulae through which their golden eyes brightly shone. If a super cosmic god like that descended to the Lower Star Ruins, the intense illumination from their body would completely outshine infinitum-class worlds. They would even be able to travel through space faster than infinitum-class astralships with their own bodies.

The person looked like a limitless universe, fusing the perfect essence of humanity and divinity together. Among the Ten Desolate Starforges were two worlds populated by wonderians. The Saturatia Dreamlord wasn't the strongest of their kind, but they were still the parents of Shiming Xingyue and Shiming Shengshi. One could only imagine how they were feeling now.

"Saturatia Dreamlord!" cried a wonderian who came in to give a report.

"Speak," the Saturatia Dreamlord answered, turning to look at the messenger.

"Word from Saturatia-49 just came. The subsouls of all the juniors there have shattered," the wonderian said, bowing after making the report. It was a nightmare of ridiculous proportions; everyone shook their heads in sorrow.

"How could it be? Shiming Shengshi's power is nothing to be trifled with. They’re at the seventh level! They're even stronger than some seniors in this hall!"

"They were also accompanied by many others. Does that mean the enemy suddenly got enough reinforcements to wipe them all out?"

The discussions prattled on. Even though the casualties were wonderians, the Eightpart Pantheons acted as a united body. Nobody dared to delight in each other's losses.

"To be honest, the Eightpart Pantheons have ruled the Upper Star Ruin for so many years and have never faced a blow like this. Losing two ranked geniuses in one go is like losing millions of soldiers!"

Things were starting to get rather serious. The mood within Skyfiend Hall had truly gone sour, something that hadn’t even happened after the events that had led to Tianming killing the Skyfiendling. The latest death toll, however, was enough to make them all sense an oncoming war.

"The Primordial Sands only have a limited number of cosmic god geniuses, and our intelligence hasn't uncovered any special unit or reinforcements they could've sent! Most likely, the ones who did this were the ancient flameyellow divinities that live in the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins!"

While normal people in the Upper Star Ruin might have forgotten the ancient rule of the flameyellow divinities, those of the Ten Desolate Starforges wouldn't. They often flipped through their many histories to remind themselves that the blissful days of their rule had resulted from the destruction and pillaging of their former hegemons.

"Our chronicles state that some flameyellow remnants might still live on in the Ancestral World. They’re probably the descendants of criminals who were exiled by the flameyellow divinities back in the day, so they ended up not being bound by heavenly shackles!"

"We understand too little about the Ancestral World. This dungeon of the flameyellow divinities had been isolated from the Upper Star Ruin for so many aeons, so who knows what numbers they have now? Are they on the brink of extinction, or are they thriving and prospering in the Ancestral World?"

The Eightpart Pantheons only bothered with expeditions because those questions were too dangerous to leave unanswered. The main force of their expeditions focused on the upper ruins that didn't have any entry restrictions. Apart from the ten figures in the assembly, most other powerful figures had gone into the upper ruins.

"Those remnants haven't left any traces in the upper ruins, but they showed up in the lower ruins."

"Then we can be sure that the youth with the mask must be one of those flameyellow exiles, and a key figure at that." Yet another new identity had been slapped on Tianming.

"We’ve suffered a huge setback because of the error of our ways! Fortunately, it isn’t too late to heed the warning. Our methods must be ruthless from now on."

Many thousand-meter-tall figures' voices shouting over each other to be heard shook the hall with their discussions.

"Our first move must be to mark the flameyellow remnants as bigger threats than the Primordial Sands. Back then, we had underestimated them and didn't fear them enough, but we can't keep thinking like that. It’s precisely because we don't understand them well enough that we have to be extra prepared. Even if the flameyellow remnants aren't that much of a threat, seeing as they aren’t in the upper ruins, it doesn't hurt to be prepared and make sure our enemy has no openings to exploit," the Cobalt Overfiend said.

"Transmit this order to the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins, both layers. Make sure the juniors stay together in groups and protect their tracing rings. In fact, use many of them for redundancy so we can get a better assessment of the threat these flameyellow remnants represent.

"Are there any of you here who wish to personally go to the upper ruins to see what this is all about?" the Ninefold Wargod asked.

"We’ll go."

The Ninefold Wargod hadn't expected someone to actually volunteer themselves. She turned and saw that the Saturatia Dreamlord had been the one to say that.

"Keep things going as they are in the lower ruins. Only consider retreating if something similar happens again. We have no choice but to rely on the juniors to explore the lower ruins. As for the upper ruins, the Ten Desolate Starforges must absolutely conquer it," the Saturatia Dreamlord added. The others naturally agreed with the assessment. When they ran into trouble, all of them were able to set aside their differences to work toward a common goal.

"There's something else." The Saturatia Dreamlord looked at the blacked-out feeds from the destroyed tracing rings and said, "There's still some uncertainty about this incident. We can't be sure that the flameyellow remnants were behind it. It might be a whole group, or a powerful elite. We aren’t aware if they suffered the might of the Heavenly Dao as a result of touching those who are protected by it. Either way, we have to report it to the imperial lineages."

"The imperial lineages?" Only matters that were of utmost importance deserved to be reported to them. And all who were present agreed that this was one of those times.
