He instantly analyzes what happened from their reaction.

"A secret message? They do not know my current situation but they still dare send a hidden message? You guys are quite lucky."

His hand becomes hard, he might not be able to use his multiple abilities but he can still control his body.

He starts digging and travels towards the expected destination of the Fox Spirits.

He can’t sense them, only if he can feel their steps can he accurately pinpoints their location while under the ground.

"This is where the explosion has occured, look at the destruction, it seems that they had indiscriminately bombarded the surroundings just to attract our attention."

Unfortunately, they were taken out too quickly, those seven aren’t just normal members but elites that had been training since their transformation.

Without hesitation, they follows after the retreating members in a distance, providing any support.

Even if one of them was captured, they don’t react, their attention is entirely on their retreating members.

"Tsk! They are more determined than I expected." He mutters, still hiding on the leaves of the trees.

Of the ten members, only six returned, four were eliminated in such a short time.

They shared the intelligence they gathered, the expression of everyone turns grim, it seems the test is much more difficult than they had expected.

"Wait! His lordship isn’t using any of his skills, all of his ambushes are done by only physical attacks!" Suddenly, Stephanie, the gut feeling Fox Spirit shouts.

Everyone of them looks at each other, they saw shock in each other’s eyes.

Once they are safe, the five Fox Spirits were relieved and release their clones.

"Stephanie was right! His lordship isn’t using his divine sense! We now have a greater chance of passing!"

The five were lying on the ground, full of sweat but a proud expression is in their face.

They were nervous because of the pressure they felt facing the one figure they always dream of, funnily enough, as vixens, many of them had wet dreams about him.

Hearing her words, everyone is also relieved, they finally have their confidence back.

They brought back the four eliminated Fox Spirits.

"Everyone, we should calm down, eleven of us had been taken down, there are only thirty-eight of us left." Their commander warns.

Everyone nods their heads.

"There are still a couple of minutes before another group is sent to the foresr, right now-"

Suddenly, one of the traps was activated, instantly, every single one of them becomes alert.

"Check the traps, use clones and illusions to hide yourself!"

Instantly, multiple figures went to investigate, some of the figures are clones, many of the real Fox Spirits blends into their surroundings, using the power of moonlight and illusions.

"This trap was triggered, not by someone but by something." The trap expert amongst them has an ugly expression.

"He’s testing the traps around our base, one by one, he will slowly map out our area, our base will no longer be safe."

One of their traps was set off again, this time, by a stone, the trap was very close to them, they were affected by it.

Sean grabs one of the semi invisible figure and disappears into the darkness once again.

"He’s here! Be careful everyone!" She shouts as her voice spreads everywhere.

’A sound-,based skill that can act as both a warning and a attack.’ Sean instantly sees through her intentions and can’t deny that it was a good decision.

He can only retreat, the shout might not be large but it’s encompasses the area around the user.

That means that currently, her defenses are airtight.

They returned back to their base with ugly expressions.

One of them was eliminated and the reason for that is because of their own trap.

It felt like they shot themselves in the foot.

"He doesn’t know where the traps are, if I’m not wrong, he only predicted where the trap is because of your positions." The commander and her sister quickly sees through his action.

"Those who are good at using illusions should go around our base, in no way you guys will show yourselves, your only duty is to guard against him."

One of the illusion experts asks. "What if we are given an opportunity to deal an attack against his lordship?"

"Then, don’t hold back! Your attacks has to be swift and precise, don’t use any charging skill, it must be instantaneous."

Sean was unaware of their plan, just like they thought, he doesn’t know where the traps are, he was only estimating based on their positions.

Traveling around the base, he was triggering and mapping out the locations of all the traps.

As he gets closer to the base, he suddenly sense something watching him.

"Hahaha! You found me! Unfortunately, you didn’t control your emotions well."

He stomps the ground causing dusts to scatter everywhere.

What’s left behind was a hole, silence descends on the area.

Suddenly, multiple figures appears, they stare at the hole and the traps that were triggered.

"What happened?"

"Sorry, I got too excited, he noticed my stare, I would had been able to attack if it wasn’t for that." The Fox Spirit that was hiding nearby apologizes.

"Control your emotions, everyone! I know that the prospect of earning their respect is quite an achievement but we aren’t being tested as individuals but as a group and we can only pass this test if we continue to work together."

"I’m sorry, everyone." The Fox Spirit lowers her head in shame.

"Regroup back to the base." Those that were still assigned to their respective positions are left behind.

"Right now, our situation isn’t looking too good, we’re too passive, if this continues, we’ll forever be preys in the eyes of both our goddess and his lordship." Stephanie sighs.

"Hmm, if only we can catch the trace of his lordship, Stephanie, do you think that he’s going to travel underground to reach our base?"

"Not likely, it’s because he’s still giving us a chance to breath, he’s going to enter our base by bypassing all the traps we set."

They fly in all directions.

Upon seeing this, Sean, who was unable to take action because of their indiscriminate attacks, retreats.

"A couple of meters from here." He mutters, raising his hand and then punching the ground.

The force sends a powerful shockwave towards the direction of the Fox Spirits.

"Be careful!" Upon seeing this, the Fox Spirits leaps to the side, three of them firing yin fireballs behind them, two of them staring at the ground.

"A tight defense but how are you guys going to deal with this?"

He stomps the ground, raising a wall of dirt, he punches it, sending it flying towards the Fox Spirits.

"Incoming!" They destroys it with concentrated energy made out of yin energy.

More things were sent flying towards them, causing them to react.

They can’t just dodge them as running away will only give Sean more opportunities to attack them.

"Don’t be afraid! Push forward!" After feeling the power of the projectiles, they’re confident that they can take it.

BOOM!

As they destroys, one of the dirt walls, dust was sent flying everywhere.

"Wait!" One of the Fox Spirits realizes that behind the destroyed projectiles were ropes made from vines.

"Rescue her!" Upon seeing this, the rest reacts but unfortunately, too late, she was pulled.

"Cut the rope!" Even without this command, the one that was caught, already made a move.

She raises her hands to cut them off, only to feel the ground caving in and she was pulled down by a pair of hands.
