Lita’s eyes flew wide open, sparkling like she had just dug up a mountain of top-grade Resonance stones."Wait... the Logan Spegger?! As in the Mayor of the Capital City?!" She looked at her mother with eager eyes. If she could, she would crawl into Ursula’s mind and extract the name immediately.

Ursula’s face went pale. She fidgeted nervously with her fingers, looking at Lita with begging eyes. "Lita, please, he won’t give you a hug, he will give you a grave! He will kill us to protect his secret. He is the son-in-law of the Craw family, and he just lost his wife. Do you think he will allow you to walk into his life casually now? You will die, Lita."

"I highly doubt that." Lita said, tossing her hair back arrogantly. "Blood is thicker than water! His elite blood flows right through my veins. He’s not going to murder his own flesh and blood." She sneered, secretly peeking at Samuel. She couldn’t believe that she had been raised by a low-born when her real father was nobility!

What kind of life had she missed out on? Lita clenched her hands as the thought crossed her mind. She could have been better than Zyra all her life!

How could her mother have deprived her of the good life which belonged to her?

Samuel also sneered quietly as he watched Lita, you stupid fool, he thought to himself. The girl truly thought Logan the psycho who killed without blinking would play daddy to her!

Lita whipped out her phone. As a member of the Kaelion household, her contact list was full of VIP numbers. She scrolled down, tapped Logan Spegger’s private line, and put it on speaker.

"Hello," a heavy, powerful voice boomed from the speaker, practically radiating the pressure of an official.

"Hello, Mayor Spegger!" Lita squeaked, trying to sound as sweet and charming as possible. "I’m Ursula’s daughter! Which means... I’m your real daughter! Surprise! Right now, I’m in a bit of a pickle and I really need my dear father’s help_"

Silence.

A long, suffocating pause stretched across the line. Ursula held her breath, looking like she was about to faint. Samuel quietly edged closer to the door, ready to bolt.

Finally, the cold voice came through the speaker: "Ocean Wild Park. 9:00 PM tonight. Come with your mother."

Lita squealed with joy. "Oh, wonderful! Thank you, Dad! I knew you’d_"

He hung up right in the middle of her sentence, which was a telling sign of his attitude.

Lita did not see the sign. She lowered the phone, nodding aggressively with a proud smile. "See? That went much better than I thought."

Ursula shook her head hysterically, tears streaming down her dirty cheeks. "I don’t like this... I don’t like this at all! This is a trap!"

Samuel let out a gruff growl, tossing a shabby blanket onto the bed. "Well, the cat is out of the bag now. Stop whining, get some rest, and we leave this dump at 8:00 PM."

Locating the alien ship was far easier with Beauty leading the way, but also Trinity had been dragged along to show the way to her most precious treasure.

Arrow watched Trinity like a hawk stalking a fat rabbit, refusing to take his eyes off her for even a second. Zyra had fastened a teleportation sealing chain around Trinity’s neck to block her spatial movement, but Arrow was a practical man_ he trusted his own two eyes far more than fancy alien jewelry.

The group shuffled down a long, spiraling stone staircase, their footsteps echoing in the dark until they finally arrived at a massive, terrifyingly thick steel door. It looked like the entrance to an imperial gold vault, except worse: the metal surface was completely seamless. There was no keypad, no door handle, and not even a single visible keyhole or crack.

[Tsk, complex alien technology, I see,] Zyra’s system chimed in her mind. [Host, give me a few minutes to hack into their matrix_]

"No need," Zyra cut in smoothly. She gestured toward Trinity with her chin. "Open it."

Trinity scoffed, crossing her arms and snapping her head away like a pouting toddler. ℯℯ𝘭.

Arrow immediately kicked Trinity right in the small of her back, sending her stumbling forward. "Do as the Lady Boss says unless you want another kick to your tailbone!" he growled.

Trinity tried her absolute best to keep her mouth shut, but the Oath Sap running through her veins gave her zero choice. She glared at Zyra with enough venom to poison ten thousand dragons, but she still stepped up to the seamless metal wall.

Immediately, a thin, glowing blue line slice across the middle of the door.

"Authentication required," a smooth, robotic voice echoed from the metal.

"Play games and I will strip you naked before the entire world." Zyra warned.

Trinity gritted her teeth and spoke the password out loud. Achilles, standing right behind her with a notepad, scribbled every single syllable down like a diligent student taking exam notes.

"Password accepted. Voice authentication required," the door hummed.

Trinity leaned her face toward the glowing line, rolled her eyes to the ceiling, and muttered, "Abracadabra."

A few of the Beast Valley group behind Arrow couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing. "Abracadabra? Seriously?"

Arrow wheezed. "Is this an alien warship or a street magic trick?!"

"Voice accepted," the door replied without a hint of sarcasm.

Suddenly, the door lit up like a festival firework. A bright red beam shot out, scanning Trinity’s eyes, her fingerprints, and doing a full-body scan from head to toe.

"Biometrics accepted. Welcome, Divine Soul Maiden, Mother empress of the earth."

With a heavy hydraulic hiss, the door split in two and slid smoothly into the walls.

Sniggers continued to echo in the ranks. Trinity felt even more humiliated than before.

The moment they stepped over the threshold, blinding white light strips flickered to life across the ceiling. The room was vast, the size of ten floors of a large, storied building. It was completely sterile, and entirely empty, save for a mind-boggling, giant structure stuck in the ground silently, right in the middle of the room. It glinted with a terrifying pressure.

Achilles inhaled so deeply his chest expanded like a pufferfish. The rest of the squad just stood there, mouths hanging wide open, looking like a bunch of country bumpkins entering the Imperial Palace for the first time.

Hunter stared, his jaw dropping. "Holy crap... it really exists."

Achilles snapped out of his trance and poked Trinity with his spear handle. "Alright, open the ship."

Trinity stammered, backing away with a nervous laugh. "I-I can’t! Nobody can! It’s impossible!"

Zyra turned her cold gaze toward her, raising a single eyebrow. "Why?"

Trinity rolled her eyes so hard she nearly saw her own brains, huffing in frustration. "Eve said that a Somnivore told her the key was lost when they first arrived on earth. Without the key, this thing is just a giant, useless unknown metal."

Achilles scoffed. "So, you were bribing us with knowledge of an alien ship you can’t even get into!" He raised his hands and shook his head. "Unbelievable."

Arrow chuckled sarcastically. "I am sure you have been looking for that key, mother empress of the earth. Care to share your updates on the search?" He raised his hand, itching to slap her again.
