Lita’s brows furrowed as the man made his way toward the back seat. "What are you doing? You do not mean to do it here?"

"Yes, I do. Your little side trips start today, so my payment starts today. From now on, this is how we do things whenever you need to go out." Jimmy said as he brushed her hair. "If you dare to rat me out, I will make sure that you are ruined along with me."

Lita slapped his hand away. "Do you have a condom?"

"No, and I was not planning to use any." He laughed as he adjusted the back seat.

Lita closed her eyes and prayed that it would all be over soon. To accomplish great things, small sacrifices could be made.

Five minutes later, when it was over, Lita did not even feel a single ounce of shame for what she and Jimmy had done. This was business, and that was all. If this Jimmy became a problem later, she would simply find a way to get rid of him altogether and find another partner. If he dared to tell on her, she would cry rape. She was the beautiful wife of Eliot Kaelion, who in their right minds would believe that she would pick a driver over him?

"Go to the Mystic sanctum," she commanded, her voice cold enough to freeze a low-level beast.

Jimmy stiffened, leaning back against the driver’s seat. He turned around and looked at her curiously. "Are you sure that’s where you want to go? It is no secret that there is tension between Madam Sabrina and the Divine Soul maiden. Going there is dangerous."

Lita glared at him, her eyes flashing with an angry glare.

"Don’t you ever question me like that ever again unless you want your tongue cut out. I am still your mistress. Don’t let the five and a half minutes fool you."

Jimmy merely nodded and whistled a jaunty tune. He was in too good of a mood to care about her temper_ after all, he had just checked a major wish off his bucket list. How many low born men out there had their fun with a woman this beautiful? What made it more exciting was that the lady in particular was married to his young master and he hated that young master. He stepped on the gas, driving the car back to the main road.

The car came to a smooth halt outside the towering, dome structure of the Mystic Sanctum. Lita covered her head with a black veil and stepped out immediately, not even waiting for Jimmy to open the door for her. She rushed in like a thief, afraid to be recognized.

Half a minute after giving her name at the receptionist desk, a senior attendant approached her with a low bow and signaled for her to follow. They bypassed all security checks and took a private elevator straight into Trinity’s office.

Lita was made to stand still, with her head bowed. She had to be silent, until Trinity allowed her to talk. The silence was there for about two minutes before Trinity rose from her seat, her white and gold flowing robes rustling as she approached Lita.

"I must say, I was surprised when security alerted me to the presence of a Kaelion clan vehicle was at my gates," Trinity said, a faint, polite smile on her face. "I was actually expecting your mother-in-law, but she is never on time. We meet two hours from now."

"Then I am afraid I cannot stay for long," Lita snapped, tossing her hair back.

Trinity raised an eyebrow, pouring a cup of pure vanilla tea. "Then do tell, why are you here?"

Lita didn’t waste any time. She launched into a dramatic, sweeping tale of the absolute torture she was facing inside the Kaelion household. She talked about the grueling early morning breakfast cooking, how she had not been given a wedding gift and how the elders treated her like a common servant rather than a prized daughter-in-law. How she was afraid for her life. She put her heart into the performance, even forcing a tear to well up in her left eye.

When she was finally done, she took a deep breath, fully expecting Trinity to weep with her, offer her a legendary elixir, or at least commemorate her misery

Instead, Trinity threw her head back and laughed. It wasn’t a polite chuckle; it was a full-bellied, echoing laugh that completely shattered the solemn atmosphere of the room.

Lita’s face flushed bright red. "What is so funny?!"

"Oh, my dear, it’s just.... you have been married for like 24hours" Trinity gasped, wiping a tear of amusement from her own eye. "You complain about the Kaelion family’s ’torture’ as if you didn’t know who they are. They are a powerhouse clan! Of course, their elders are stiff-necked old foggies. It is the way of most first-class clans. Small clans like the one you come from don’t have rules and hierarchy. Their elders are too busy kissing the asses of low ranked members of the first-class clans." She shook her head. "You are such a silly girl."

Lita’s hands clenched into fists, her pride deeply wounded. "I came to you for help, not to be laughed at. You are the reason why I was married into this clan in the first place."

Trinity’s laughter gradually subsided, replaced by a sharp, calculating glint in her eyes. She walked over to the window, looking out at the bustling capital. "And that should tell you that there is absolutely no way I can openly help you against the Kaelions. My sanctum relies on their trade routes, and I would rather have them as friends than foes. But..." She lingered, letting the word hang heavy in the air.

"But what?" Lita asked desperately, taking a step forward. "You can just talk to Sabrina to be kinder to me? I did not even want to marry into that family in the first place!"

Trinity turned around, a slow, wicked smirk spreading across her face. "I need eyes and ears in the Kaelion household."

Lita blinked, her dramatic anger briefly derailed by confusion. "What?"

Trinity did not repeat herself_ she absolutely hated repeating herself. Instead, she took a slow, agonizingly deliberate sip of her tea. The steam curled around her elegant face, making her look less like a Divine Maiden and more like a cat that had just cornered a very plump mouse.

Lita swallowed hard, her mind racing. "You_ you want me to be a spy?"

Trinity waved her hand dismissively, nearly spilling her tea. "Spy is such a foul, uncultured word. Let’s call it ’proactive housekeeping.’"

"But I signed an NDA!" Lita blurted out, her hands flying to her chest. "If I break it and Sabrina finds out!"

"It seems I was wrong about you," Trinity cut her off, her voice dropping into a chilling, disappointed tone. She set her teacup down with a sharp clink that made Lita jump. "The mayor told me you were tenacious like your father. He said you were a fighter, someone not easily put down by a bad hand in life. But the Lita I see standing here? Weak. Pathetic. Honestly, you aren’t even fit to sweep the floors in the Kaelion house, let alone spy in it."

Lita’s eyes narrowed, a sudden spark of fiery indignation overtaking her fear. Wait a minute, she thought, the realization hitting her like a slap in the face. Is this it? Is this the grand plan?

So, the Divine Maiden had orchestrated this entire nightmare marriage just to plant a mole in the Kaelion family’s estate!
