Back to the 80s: Raising my Wolfy Boyfriend

Chapter 971: Hello, We Meet Again

  • Next Chapter

After pondering for a long time, Lu Qing decided to take a gamble.

Amin was the boss’s younger sister, and he was Amin’s manager. Their relationship was closer than his with the boss.

He chose to cover for Amin, of course, with a time limit.

If Amin did not return by tomorrow, he would go to the boss.

...

Amin stepped into the Left Bank Pavilion again and immediately recognized it as the residence of Shijiu Entertainment Company’s boss, the place she had just acknowledged as her brother’s home.

The car stopped in Zone D, and Du Nan got out first.

He invited Amin from the rear seat: "Miss Amin, we have arrived."

The men in black downstairs did not follow them upstairs; Du Nan led Amin to the tenth floor alone.

Arriving at an unfamiliar door, Du Nan took out a key and opened the door in front of them.

"Miss Amin, please."

Standing outside, Amin surveyed the cold-toned decor of the interior hallway, hesitated not a moment, and stepped through the door.

The sound of Du Nan’s footsteps followed closely behind her.

The vast living room was empty, giving off a cold, unwelcoming vibe.

Du Nan led Amin to the sofa: "Please sit here first, I’ll go invite the boss out."

"Mm—"

Amin sat obediently, her eyes still taking in the unfamiliar surroundings.

The large room lacked the traces of habitation, feeling too cold and vast.

She watched Du Nan’s retreating figure, unaware of the anticipation leaking through her brows.

She hadn’t expected to encounter so soon the man she had met once in Nanmian, making her involuntarily nervous.

Her hands at her sides unconsciously curled into fists.

What to say upon meeting him, should she directly ask if they had met before?

Her name was Amin; before she lost her memory, she was called Minmin.

Should she tell him that she already knew her own background?

As Amin let her thoughts wander, Du Nan brought Qiu Qianghai, who had been resting in the bedroom, out.

Qiu Qianghai appeared pale, evidently thinner. Du Nan had only mentioned a guest’s visit when he invited him out.

Upon seeing the girl sitting calmly and staring blankly in the living room, Qiu Qianghai’s expression changed slightly, his brows furrowed tightly.

He cast a cold glance at Du Nan, who bowed his head, neither humble nor pushy, believing he hadn’t done anything wrong.

If Amin were the boss’s remedy, even if he angered the boss today and faced any punishment, he would willingly accept it.

It was better than watching the boss sink into despair day by day, his health deteriorating.

Amin saw Qiu Qianghai’s figure.

Her cool, bewildered eyes stared intently at him, containing a thousand unspoken words.

The initially downcast, even faintly angry Qiu Qianghai’s gaze softened involuntarily upon meeting her familiar eyes.

He began to speak: "You..."

But after just a syllable, he found his throat dry, with a faint prickling sensation.

Only then did he realize he hadn’t spoken much recently and was somewhat unaccustomed to it.

Amin slowly stood up, unrestrained, greeting him openly: "Hello, we’ve met again."

Qiu Qianghai swallowed to ease the prickling pain in his throat, nodded gently at her, and stepped closer.

Standing in front of Amin, he could only focus on her beautiful eyes, whose familiarity stirred warmth in his gaze.

"The people downstairs were ignorant, inviting you here so abruptly. Did it interrupt your work?"

It was the longest sentence Qiu Qianghai had spoken in recent times.

His voice was hoarse, mixed with a certain languidness akin to just waking up.

Amin lightly shook her head, looking up at the man who was much taller than she was.
