Chapter 1965: Chapter 1967: She’s Gone

The sedative calmed Chiang Qing down, rendering her powerless to resist, yet her mind remained unusually clear. It was because of this clarity that she profoundly understood the meaning of a life worse than death.

She opened her eyes wide, staring at the small window above with a fan blade exhaust hanging there, rumbling noisily.

The fan blades spun and spun, and in her ears, there was the clinking of metal against porcelain, while inside her, something cold turned and churned, tearing her apart bit by bit.

Pain?

The excruciating pain had long since made her lose consciousness; she felt nothing, lying there like a broken doll at the mercy of others.

She stared at the endlessly spinning fan blades, her mind devoid of any thoughts, holding onto just one sentence.

How could this happen, how did it come to this?

Chiang Qing couldn’t understand.

No matter whom she depended on, she ended up with a tragic outcome. Why was that?

With a clang.

The cold instrument within her was withdrawn and tossed into the porcelain dish, and her eyes didn’t even blink.

Outside, someone screamed in agony.

But what did it have to do with her? Did she even have a future anymore?

Everything was over!

"Hey, who are you, who... don’t kill me, I’m just following orders, ah."

Someone came to Chiang Qing, bent down, and looked at her, gently patting her face: "Qing, Qingqing."

Chiang Qing showed no reaction, just stared blankly at the spinning fan blades.

Her once cold lower body was covered by something, not as cold now, yet still cold, so cold!

"Let’s go." The person’s voice choked, and they kissed her bloodless lips.

Chiang Qing was lifted up, her gaze leaving the unceasingly spinning, creaking fan blades.

Outside the house, she saw a vast grayness, the gray sky, never having seen such a gray sky before. From now on, her sky would be gray too, no other colors.

...

Chen Gang glanced at the time on his wrist, by now, it should be done, right?

He looked towards the alley, only to see his subordinate stumbling out, and he was slightly taken aback.

Damn it, something went wrong!

Chen Gang threw away his cigarette and rushed over.

Inside the clinic, another subordinate was clutching his abdomen on the ground, groaning in pain, and the doctor was also on the ground, while Chiang Qing, who should have been on the operating table, was gone!

"Where is she?" Chen Gang grabbed the barefoot doctor’s collar and asked.

The barefoot doctor replied, "Someone, someone took her away!"

"Damn it, who?"

"I didn’t see... ah!"

"Useless!" Chen Gang rushed out of the alley, looked around, and realized that the alley was open at both ends, and there was no one coming in or going out at the end he was guarding, so they must have run out through the other end?

He ran out, and at that end of the alley was a main road, but with cars coming and going, he couldn’t see anyone any longer!

"Damn it!"

Chen Gang had no choice but to go back and inquire about his two subordinates’ conditions; both had been sprayed with chili water in the eyes and then stabbed.

He went to the hospital to report it to Lin Biao, who slapped him in anger: "Useless. Can’t even watch over a person!"

Chen Gang lowered his head.

"Go find the person, the one who took her away must be that Bi guy. Fine, find all of them, I don’t believe that a young brat with a rag can hide to the ends of the earth!" Lin Biao said coldly.

Chen Gang responded and left, and Shen Qizheng came over. Upon learning that Chiang Qing had run away with someone, he clicked his tongue.

But well, this was fine, the bastard was gone, and the person escaped, even if the old man woke up, he’d only be angrier.

This woman, from now on, could no longer threaten him!
