Breathing in the aroma of fish soup wafting in the air, Gong Ruzhi took a deep breath.

"Smells so good."

"Hmm, it smells so good, my stomach is getting hungry now," Gong Ruini patted her stomach.

Feeling hungry again, Gong Ruzhi was at a loss for words with his sister’s seemingly bottomless appetite.

It seemed that as long as Gong Ruini was awake, her mouth never took a break.

Either she went to find food herself, or her brother-in-law made something delicious and brought some over for her to taste.

Gong Ruzhi really didn’t mind, a brother-in-law should treat his sister well, right? But why when her sister got to taste the good food, they never thought of giving him a bite too.

This kind of disparity really made Gong Ruzhi quite upset, so he pretended not to hear Gong Ruini say she was hungry.

It was truly heartbreaking, making one have the urge to run away from home.

"I brewed some red bean soup, do you want some?" Zhao Xuran leaned in and asked, seemingly aware his wife was hungry.

See, it doesn’t matter if he’s not around, his brother-in-law really cherished his sister, always putting her first in everything he did.

Ah, red bean soup, although it’s nice, Gong Ruini just wanted to eat meat at this moment.

"You’ve eaten quite a bit of meat, you shouldn’t eat more." Zhao Xuran recalled the doctor mentioning last time that Gong Ruini seemed to be eating too much meat and should watch it a bit.

Although Zhao Xuran felt that as long as his wife loved to eat, that’s fine, he didn’t dare go against the doctor’s advice. What if she really put on too much weight?

Ah ah ah, he doesn’t love her anymore, Gong Ruini glared displeased at Zhao Xuran, who had no intention of changing his mind.

See, it’s happening again, Gong Ruzhi quietly moved to the side, thinking he ought to just stay put and watch how it plays out between them.

"There’s no meat." Although it was truly hard to resist Gong Ruini’s pitiful look, one had to stand firm on certain principles.

With Gong Ruini looking at him with those pitiful eyes, Zhao Xuran swiftly retreated into the kitchen.

"Xiao Zhi, come get the red bean soup," Zhao Xuran’s annoyed voice came from the kitchen.

See, Gong Ruzhi shrugged, feeling he should have long been used to them constantly giving you surprises, constantly making you feel like blacklisting them.

"Is there any cake left?" Looking at the tray with just one piece of cake and a bowl of red bean soup, Gong Ruzhi couldn’t help but feel a bit let down.

"Brother-in-law, there’s nothing for me." Before, he was the type to burn bridges after crossing, now it’s just a straight face while asking for favors.

Anyone else hearing the little brother-in-law complain might panic a bit, but who is Zhao Xuran, why would he panic?

"Take it to your sister first, she’s hungry."

Rolling his eyes, aren’t I hungry too? He thought, having done so much work, with the little he had for lunch, he was already running on empty.

"And you can’t serve yourself?" Zhao Xuran said annoyed, "Did you think I was going to feed you too?"

Such a brat, even getting jealous over something like this.

Feed him? The thought of such a scene made Gong Ruzhi shiver, "No, no."

"Got reprimanded by your brother-in-law again?" Zhao Guangran used to be quite prankish, even knowing each time he couldn’t handle Zhao Xuran and her, he still challenged, truly executing the motto ’fail and try again’ to its fullest.

Didn’t expect such silly behavior would be passed on to Gong Ruzhi, making Gong Ruini a bit worried.

It’s not a big deal if Zhao Guangran acted a bit dumb, he was quite sly; tricking him wasn’t easy, of course, there was the fear he might trick Zhao Guangran instead.

As for Gong Ruzhi, Gong Ruini worried a lot, this guy could be really smart if he wanted to, but once he turned childish, even if not someone everyone could bully, as long as he fully accepted you, he’d act quite childish.

"Sis, I was just voicing a little protest, he can’t have only eyes for you."

"I’m a person too!" Gong Ruzhi was expressing his dissatisfaction with Zhao Xuran often forgetting about him.

Gong Ruini didn’t care much about how hurt Gong Ruzhi seemed, she was busy eating, truly hungry at the moment.

If she didn’t eat soon, the little tyrant in her belly wouldn’t spare her.

Since a certain child developed enough to kick at her belly, Gong Ruini felt it was doomed.

No matter the mood, good or bad, he’d kick her belly.

Before, his strength wasn’t much, even when he tried a bit, Gong Ruini could still chat with him.

But lately, Gong Ruini only felt this child’s energy was extraordinary, a few times he kicked her so much she took ages to recover.

If not for considering the so-called prenatal education, Gong Ruini would really want to curse, it was beyond painful.

So just as Gong Ruini was about to eat, she was irked by a certain boy who seemed to express happiness or anger.

Alright, Gong Ruini already asked the doctor if the one that’s well-nourished was a boy, but the one behind, always blocked by the brother or sister, remained a mystery in terms of gender.

Even so, Gong Ruini really hoped for a daughter, sincerely not wanting the younger one to shoulder too much responsibility.

A girl would face less pressure.

The more important thing is knowing the firstborn is a boy, and so energetic in the womb, Gong Ruini didn’t dare imagine the chaos if the other was also a boy, what if they started fighting in her belly?

Gong Ruini made an effort to breathe, trying not to panic too much.

Of course, she also reached to touch her belly, "Son, be good for mama,"

"If you continue this, mama won’t feel well, and won’t be able to eat."

The more Gong Ruini tried to calm him, the more restless the child in her belly became.

Good lord, Gong Ruzhi, thinking about fetching food from the kitchen, was stunned upon seeing his sister’s face change drastically, followed by her belly protruding here and there, scaring him quite a bit.

What was happening? Dumbfounded, Gong Ruzhi pointed at Gong Ruini’s belly.

Gong Ruini wanted to explain to Gong Ruzhi, but unfortunately, she was in too much pain at the moment to do so.

Good heavens, seeing Gong Ruini’s ashen face scared Gong Ruzhi tremendously, "Brother-in-law, brother-in-law."

Panic-stricken, Gong Ruzhi dashed to the telephone by the sofa, his sister’s expression truly terrified him.

He worried whether Zhao Xuran could handle it, surely the best way was to head to the hospital.

In the kitchen washing vegetables, Zhao Xuran thought preparing a hot pot really saved effort, essentially settling dinner for three easily.

Hearing Gong Ruzhi’s shaky voice, Zhao Xuran’s heart tightened, could something be amiss with Ni Zi, otherwise he wouldn’t be like this.
