Chapter 1078 488: Heading to the Beyond Universe
Section 488: The Desire to Journey to the Other Shore Cosmos
Xu Qinghan's consciousness, in this moment, had already attained clarity. This was not a simple plea for aid, but the ultimate clash between "Being" and "Non-being" upon a higher dimension. The tide of Nirvana represented a kind of "Non-being" more thorough than void; it sought to return all things to zero. And the Ten Thousand Dao Celestial Palace of the Other Shore Cosmos represented an extreme "Being", calling for "Eternity" amidst Despair.
Her Eternal Fire was precisely the balance between "Being" and "Non-being", the cycle of birth and extinction. This was the Power the Other Shore Cosmos lacked, yet craved with desperate intensity.
"My Lord, do you intend to journey to the Other Shore Cosmos?" The Void Watcher perceived Xu Qinghan's resolve.
"Fire Eternal, the Path without end." Xu Qinghan's will echoed within the Chaos Origin, every word bearing the supreme truth of the Cosmos. "This Cosmos has already stepped onto its proper course, yet the true meaning of Eternity is far more than this. If the Fire can be scattered across the Sea of Realms, if the eternal cycle can be brought to more Cosmoses, that shall be the true Eternity."
She knew that this journey would be fraught with peril. The Sea of Realms was filled with the unknown and the mutable; perhaps there existed beings more terrifying than the Chaos Devourers, perhaps Powers more troublesome than the tide of Nirvana. Yet she was already the Master of the Eternal Flame; her mission was to carry Hope and Eternity to every place in need.
She did not choose to depart with her true body. Her true body had already fused with the Chaos Origin, becoming the foundation of this Cosmos, and could not be lightly shaken. She would go in the form of a "Fire Incarnation", bearing a portion of the Seed of Eternity's Power, to traverse the Sea of Realms and reach the Other Shore Cosmos.
This Fire Incarnation was not a simple avatar, but the embodiment of her will, bearing her comprehension of "Eternity" as well as a portion of the Chaos Origin's Origin Power. It would possess independent thought, yet at its core, it would forever remain linked to Xu Qinghan's true body.
In the depths of the Chaos Origin, the Seed of Eternity radiated a resplendent gold-and-black brilliance. Innumerable Law Runes leapt within, weaving into an inscrutable, arcane sigil. That sigil slowly rose, ultimately transforming into a figure seven-tenths similar to Xu Qinghan's true body, yet more condensed, more transcendent.
She was robed in gold-and-black Dao garments that flowed with shifting hues, her form wreathed in the aura of Chaos. Her eyes were deep as the endless starry vault, yet burned with the light of the Fire. Her face was both blurred and clear, as though she could take the form of all things, and yet stand beyond all things.
"Void Watcher, this Cosmos I entrust to you and the primal beings to Guard together." Xu Qinghan's Fire Incarnation spoke in a voice vast yet limpid, echoing beyond the Chaos Origin.
The Void Watcher sank to one knee, his voice heavy with solemnity. "I shall not fail the trust of My Lord. I shall Guard the Cosmos's Gui Xu, unto Eternity itself." He knew that this act of the Master of the Eternal Flame was a true "Opening of the Way", a grand work that transcended the Cosmos itself.
Those primal beings at the desolate fringes of the Cosmos also felt the birth of the Fire Incarnation, and her resolve to depart toward the Sea of Realms. Their colossal bodies no longer trembled; instead, they used an ancient manner to express reverence toward the Fire Incarnation. They knew that a brand-new age, a true "Eternal" era, would, along with her footsteps, unfurl upon the Sea of Realms.
The Fire Incarnation inclined her head slightly, then turned her gaze toward the depths of the Sea of Realms, toward that Other Shore Cosmos from which the call arose.
"Fire Eternal, the Path without end." She murmured softly, her voice filled with resolve and hope.
In the next instant, the gold-and-black radiance around the Fire Incarnation flared to its zenith. She became a streak of dazzling light, in a heartbeat tearing through the boundary of the Cosmos, charging into that boundless Sea of Realms.
The Sea of Realms was disordered and in Chaos. Innumerable Cosmos bubbles rose and fell within: some vast as galaxies, some tiny as motes of dust. They collided, they devoured, they merged, forming one after another grand vortices of Chaos.
The Fire Incarnation threaded her way among these Cosmos bubbles, her gold-and-black glimmer like a lighthouse that guided the way, illuminating the path ahead. She could feel that the Sea of Realms was saturated with all manner of Law Fragments—some brimming with life, some sunk in Deathly Silence, some twisted into madness, and some pure as Origin. These Law Fragments were the traces left behind by the birth and demise of innumerable Cosmoses. They drifted within the Sea of Realms, awaiting absorption by new Cosmoses, or their complete grinding away by Chaos.
She sensed the aura of the "Chaos Devourers" of which the Void Watcher had spoken. It was a grand and oppressive existence, hidden deep within the Sea of Realms, feeding upon decaying Cosmoses. Wherever its aura passed, all vitality would sink into Deathly Silence. The Fire Incarnation did not engage it head-on, but with subtlety avoided its range of Perception. She knew that her goal was the Other Shore Cosmos, not the contest of dominance against ancient beings within the Sea of Realms.
As she delved ever deeper into the Sea of Realms, the call from the Other Shore Cosmos grew clearer and more urgent. It was no longer a vague resonance, but transformed into streams of distinct consciousness, flowing directly into the mind of the Fire Incarnation.
"Save… salvation…"
"Eternity… hope…"
"Nirvana… descends…"
These currents of consciousness were steeped in Despair and defiance, yet they held a faint, fragile hope. The Fire Incarnation could feel that the Other Shore Cosmos was racing toward decay at a staggering pace. Its stars were being extinguished, its Laws collapsing, its beings howling in anguish. The tide of Nirvana, like a formless Tsunami, was slowly devouring its very existence.
