Chapter 415: Chapter 378 – Milim’s Tearful Complaints

“Why are we stopping? I was just starting to get fired up!”

Still brimming with fighting spirit, Milim looked at Takumi in dissatisfaction.

Takumi remained seated where he was, not the slightest ripple of emotion crossing his face. He spoke calmly. “There’s no point in fighting you.”

Milim was the offspring of the Star-King Dragon, and on top of that, she possessed the absurdly powerful Ultimate Skill [Lord of Wrath (Gold)]. If he kept fighting her, her strength would continue skyrocketing without limit.

Even if Takumi could hold his own for a while, sooner or later, he probably wouldn’t be a match for Milim once she completely lost her reason.

A battle like that held no meaning for him. He would much rather get what he wanted through a more “peaceful” method.

Seeing how calm Takumi remained, Milim puffed out her cheeks.

“How is fighting pointless? If you lose, you’ll become my subordinate!!”

Milim pointed at Takumi and boldly declared what she wanted. She looked just like a little girl who had found a toy she loved and wanted to claim it for herself.

Takumi had already come up with a way to deal with her willfulness.

As Milim raised her fist, he took out a tiny cup of divine wine just before the force of her punch reached him.

In an instant, an intoxicating fragrance filled the room.

Whoosh!

Milim’s little fist stopped dead, her attention immediately drawn to the divine wine. Her bright blue eyes stared fixedly at the blood-gold liquid.

I want it!

I want it so badly!!

It smells amazing!!!

She could smell the divine wine, along with another strangely enticing fragrance mixed into it.

Yes, it was Takumi’s scent, blended together with the wine.

Seeing Milim practically drooling already, the corners of Takumi’s lips curled upward.

This divine wine had been brewed using his own blood. It was the finest of the finest!

If this were some cultivation fantasy world, a single sip would probably be enough to make someone ascend on the spot and attain enlightenment.

By now, Milim could no longer suppress her urge. She reached straight for the divine wine.

“Give it to me~ Give it to me!”

Her expression was overflowing with longing.

Just from smelling it, Milim knew that this was something more delicious than anything she had ever tasted in her entire life!

Takumi didn’t stop her. He simply raised his hand and handed the small cup of divine wine over.

Milim took it and immediately gulped it down.

A flavor beyond anything she had ever known exploded across her tongue. For a moment, it felt as though her very soul had drifted beyond the highest heavens.

The abundant energy within the wine poured into her body as well, beginning to transform and strengthen her flesh.

Lost in bliss, Milim’s body showed not the slightest rejection. Instead, it naturally accepted the power and absorbed it completely.

A pink collar quietly appeared around her neck, though the dazed Milim didn’t notice it at all.

The instant the two formed a master-servant contract, [Lord of Gluttony (Gold)] activated immediately.

A portion of Milim’s power flowed into Takumi, causing his strength to rise noticeably.

There was only one problem: Takumi couldn’t directly obtain Milim’s unique Ultimate Skill, [Lord of Wrath (Gold)].

“Whew~~ Same rank… No, it should actually be above [Lord of Gluttony (Gold)].”

Even though both were Gold-quality abilities, Takumi knew very well that there was still an enormous gap between them.

It was like the Silver Saints: from those who had only just entered the realm of supersonic speed all the way to those approaching light speed, they were still grouped within a single broad category.

Yet the difference within that category could easily be a hundredfold, a thousandfold, or even ten thousandfold.

The power of [Lord of Wrath (Gold)] was already extremely close to Red quality.

“Still, if I can’t obtain it this way, I’ll just use another method.”

Takumi looked at the thoroughly intoxicated Milim, unceremoniously lifted her cloak, and smacked her raised rear a few times.

Smack! Smack! Smack!

The crisp sounds, together with the strange sensation that was slightly painful yet slightly ticklish, finally roused Milim from her daze.

Still drooling, she immediately gave Takumi an annoyed look.

“Why’re you hitting me~~?”

Her voice was incredibly soft and sweet, almost like a cat deliberately making itself sound cute.

In truth, she still wasn’t fully awake. She was like someone just coming out of anesthesia—their eyes might be open, but their brain and awareness hadn’t caught up yet, leaving them dazed and silly.

That single aggrieved complaint sent a shiver through Takumi’s entire body.

He had to admit, she really was adorable!

It made him want to pull her into his arms and mercilessly tease her.

Suppressing the heat rising inside him, Takumi replied irritably, “You came into my territory, picked a fight with my people, and now you even want to hit me. A few smacks are getting off easy!”

“Uu~~ I guess… it was my fault.”

Still muddleheaded, Milim mumbled a few words before suddenly plopping herself down on Takumi’s lap.

Chloe, whose spot had just been stolen, nearly started hissing at her.

Unfortunately, with those tiny arms and legs of hers, there was no way she could beat Milim.

Curled up like a cat on Takumi’s lap, Milim smacked her lips and murmured, “Fine… you win this time. I won’t make you my subordinate anymore. Happy now…?”

“What exactly does that do for me?”

Takumi shamelessly pinched Milim’s cheeks as he spoke with a smile.

Playing around with the completely defenseless Milim in his arms was surprisingly fun.

Still half-dazed, Milim heard his question and muttered back, “Th-Then… we’re friends. I can help you.”

Like a devil whispering temptation into someone’s ear, Takumi murmured, “Help me? In that case, how about giving me your territory?”

“O-Okay. I don’t like that place anyway.”

The moment her territory came up, Milim became furious.

“Do you have any idea what kind of life I’ve been living? Misery! Misery! Nothing but misery!!!”

“Takumi, do you know what my subordinates make me eat every single day? All that horrible stuff!”

With tears welling in her eyes, Milim began recounting her “tragic” past.

The people of her territory, the Dragon’s City, were strict believers in eating food in its original state. Everything they prepared for Milim was uncooked, completely natural, additive-free, environmentally friendly food.

In simple terms, raw lettuce and raw carrots.

She had been eating that stuff for thousands of years.

Before drinking the divine wine, she had always assumed that all food in the world simply tasted that awful.

Now, however, things were different.

She had finally tasted something truly delicious.

“Uwaaah!! Why didn’t I meet you sooner, Takumi~~?”

Milim burst into tears, snot and all, leaving Takumi with dark lines covering his face.

Still, to be fair, she really did have it rough.

Thousands of years of lettuce and carrots… It was impressive that she had even managed to keep eating them.

Watching Milim—who had been so terrifying only moments ago—make such an expression and reveal such a miserable past left all the women present staring at one another, unsure what to say.

With the alcohol loosening her tongue enough to let some of her true feelings spill out, Milim soon regained her senses.

For a moment, she and Takumi simply stared at each other, and silence fell between them once again.

Despite her embarrassment, however, Milim didn’t feel irritated in the slightest.

If anything, finally saying what had been bottled up inside her made her feel much lighter.

Besides, she really liked Takumi’s scent.

And, of course, that divine wine too.

Milim licked her lips and stared fixedly at Takumi…
