Chapter 19: Chapter 19: New Character.

Things soon turned ugly when Angel went on ahead and started helping Agness Fight.Liues was already bleeding. Agnes alone had been a nightmare – fast, precise, ruthless. Now with Angel at her side, the scales of the battle tipped against Liues.

PENG!!

Agnes ffist slammed into Liues’ face. The impact caved his cheek inward and sent him skidding through concrete, straight into the side of a half-collapsed building. Dust and rebar rained down on him.

He hadn’t even regain his composure and Angels Feather sword rained down on him.

BOOM!!

Dozens of white, sword-sharp feathers screamed through the smoke. Liues rolled, dragging his sword up.

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG!

He blocked, but the force drove him to one knee. Blood crawled from the corner of his mouth and dripped onto his knuckles.

"First Wave: Unmissing Strike."

Agnes’ voice was calm. Running towards Already injured Liues to finish him off.

Her scythe was already in motion, aimed at Liues’ throat.

Then she froze.

What was that?

Thought Agnes as Her head snapped toward the execution grounds. The rubble was still settling. And yet she can sense amense life force amidst the setting dust.

Angel felt it too. His smile faltered. "There’s no calamity behind me, But what was that?" He muttered and turned around.

But what he saw made his heart stop for a moment.

In the crater of broken stones and dust stood a boy. Hair white as ash. Eyes red like spilled blood. The air around him warped, heavy with power that made Angel’s wings twitch.

In his hands was a long black scythe, humming. Pulsing with fearsome power

"Who are you?" Angel asked, voice low.

Morgan tilted his head. Blood and dust on his face.

"Have I changed so much... that you don’t recognize me anymore?"

"...Morgan Liues?"

Morgan didn’t answer. He vanished.

FIUU!! PENG!!

Angel’s feathers launched, a storm of blades. But Morgan moved like water. Each step, each tilt of his body happened a heartbeat before the feather arrived. He was dodging at the last possible second, letting the attacks kiss the air where he’d just been.

Angel didn’t notice at first. But every miss was draining him.

Agnes saw it. Her eyes widened.

He’s baiting Angel into drying him up. And once that’s done....Oh no–

"ANGEL, BEHIND—"

Too late.

THRUUT!!!

Liues’ sword drove through Agnes’ left side. She choked, scythe flashing up to knock his blade away. She kicked off and shot backward, blood and sweat running down her arm.

Liues licked blood off his teeth and pointed his sword at her.

"In a battle like this," he said, voice rough, "never take your eyes off your enemy."

Now I have the upper hand. Thanks kid.

Meanwhile, Morgan kept moving. Dodging. Smiling calmly at Angel. Those smiles slowly cracked Angel and made him lose his composure.

"YOU DAMNED BOY!!"

The smile on his face never left, but his wings snapped open. Hundreds of feathers lined up, aimed.

If I fire now, he’ll just dodge. I’ll have to wait till he attacks me, then I’ll skewer him.

Morgan, as if he read the mind of Angel and doing exactly what Angel wanted.Charged straight at him. No cover. No fear.

At ten meters, he did something no one expected.

He threw his scythe.

PENG!!

Angel raised a wing and swatted it aside. The weapon spun and buried itself in the wall behind him with a shuddering THUNK.

"Foolish child," Angel thought. "You just gave me—"

Morgan’s hands were already up.

In them, feathers. Exact copies of Angel’s.

THUNK! THUNK! THUNK!

The copied feathers tore through Angel’s chest. He was hurled through another building. Concrete exploded.

When the dust cleared, Angel was on his knees, bleeding from a dozen holes, one wing torn.

In an office high above the city, Commissioner Varn watched the feed. His face went pale.

"How... how is this possible? The boy can—"

"He can copy techniques," Principal Lous finished from her own screen. Her voice was tight.

"This boy is a far greater threat than we calculated."

---

In the Presidential Palace, the air tore open with a sound like ripping silk.

A man stepped through. Slim. Ordinary. And Monk Like. The only thing unique about him was the third closed eye on his forehead, the prayer beads in one hand, and the fan in the other. The pressure in the room dropped just by his presence.

President Gou stood. "Sir Bailon. You saw it?"

"I did." Bailon’s three eyes remained shut. "A Berserker Calamity no doubt."

"should we send her?"

"Yes."

Gou picked up the phone. "Send Singer."

"Understood," came a cold reply.

---

On the outer city wall, a girl sat with her legs dangling over a 200-meter drop. Just the way she sat casually can tell anyone that she’s not a Human. She is a good deeder. She has a Blue hair, with a streaks of red. A short Simple gown.Eyes like the ocean, but wrong. Inhumane.

She stood, and a bow materialized in her hand. A golden arrow of light formed on the string.

"Ooooh. But he’s sooo cute," Singer whispered.

She aimed at Morgan who was still fighting in the distance. With an unparalleled calmness, she smiled then.

"Nighty night, my boy."

FWOOO!!!

The arrow vanished.
