Ascension Of The Blood Supreme
Chapter 170. Killing the sandworms
Several microscopic crimson threads shot towards the sandworms with swift speed.
Aiden had not even arrived at where the group and the sandworms chasing them were.
He did not want to waste any more time on this desert.
The microscopic crimson threads wrapped themselves around the gigantic sandworms and dug into their bodies effortlessly.
Slice... Slice...
The only thing the group saw was that suddenly, the sandworms that were previously chasing them had stopped chasing them. The creatures screeched and spasmed. The group turned around in shock and turned to look at the floating dude who was currently near them. They looked at the sandworms again in shock.
They didn’t see the man launch any attacks. He was just floating across the place. So how was what they were seeing possible?
Pshhhhhh!
Suddenly, blood splurged from the bodies of the large sandworms.
The creatures screamed.
For a moment, nothing else happened.
Then, cleanly cut body parts slid off and tumbled across the place. The creatures had been sliced into several pieces. The man didn’t even do anything. It was either he was too fast that they didn’t see him attack, or his affinity was too strange that he didn’t even have to move to kill his enemies.
What a terrifying man!
They could not afford to offend someone like this.
"I need someone to guide me to Rustwater town. You wouldn’t happen to know there, right?" Aiden spoke to them politely as the crimson microscopic threads floated around him.
"Ehhrm senior, we would be honored," the leader of the group, a lady with a buzz cut, replied.
Aiden nodded, absorbed the blood essence on the dead creatures, and joined them.
They looked at him with fearful expressions on their faces.
Just how powerful was this mysterious senior?
He was definitely a rank 2 warrior.
As for how strong he was at rank 2, they could not tell!
"Senior, please, we can’t possibly keep these corpses for ourselves. After all, not only did you save us, you killed them..." the group leader said.
"Don’t worry. You can have them," Aiden said.
Aiden didn’t see any need for the corpses. He had already absorbed their blood essence. He had more than enough money, so there was no need to keep the corpses of chaotic beasts and sell them.
His weekly warrior’s stipend, alongside the money he now had after he handed over the shares of the people he killed in Derulo City to the parents of his friends, was more than he could count. Aiden had decided to not own any of the shares. He had given the assets to them willingly. But they had insisted that he owns 52 percent of the assets. He didn’t have anything to lose by agreeing. At most, he treated it as spoils of war.
So Aiden currently owned 52 percent of the assets of the industries he got revenge on in Derulo City. The parents of his friends owned 48 percent of those assets. They actually insisted later he takes 90 percent, but Aiden did not agree. He settled for the 52 percent they initially suggested.
After his purchases of poisons at the Warriors Association branch of Emrea City, he had emptied his account completely. But, in just over two months, due to the money the assets he owned had generated, the account had been refilled with uncountable amounts of money.
"This senior is probably very rich. He does not even see the need for the corpses of legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts. Just who is he?"
The group had the same thought as they exchanged looks.
"Thank you for your generosity, senior," they thanked him. Aiden simply nodded with polite indifference. The group kept the corpses in their storage bags.
"Senior, please..." the group leader said to Aiden politely, gesturing to him to follow them.
They didn’t dare to ask who he was or where he came from.
They were completely afraid of him.
As for trying anything stupid, they had brains.
Heck, they were even thinking that if it was possible, they would try to stick to his thigh when they arrived in Rustwater city.
The ladies were even thinking of trying to get in his pants to stay on his good side.
Naturally, Aiden saw through these attempts. The ladies were strangely shaking their assets to woo him.
But he ignored them with indifference.
To their dismay, he asked the nearest gentleman to him a question.
"Do you have any special methods of avoiding ambushes of chaotic beasts on the desert?"
"No, senior. We can only use our instincts and our experience," the guy replied.
"These guys are my guide to the town. I can’t let them die. When we get to town, they are on their own. But at the moment, I need them to get to Rustwater town," Aiden thought.
"How long will it be till we get to the town?" Aiden asked.
"About 24 hours," a lady replied.
Clearly, Aiden didn’t ask her the question, but the guy adjacent to him. However, she wanted to get on his good side.
Aiden ignored the theatrics of the group. He got his answer anyway.
"How long can you guys utilize aerial maneuvering?" Aiden asked.
"For at most 24 hours before we give out. Our world energy reserves will give out completely," the group leader replied.
"That’s enough. Start using aerial maneuvering now. I need one person to be close to me to direct me on the general route to the town. Everyone else should follow me closely if they don’t want to be ambushed by beasts," Aiden said.
None of them dared to question the senior. He looked very polite. But their instincts told them that he was a very terrifying person who didn’t give a fuck about them. The only reason why he was going this far to not let them die was because he needed someone to guide him to the town. If not, even if they had managed to escape the sandworms, he would have probably killed them himself. Something about this polite senior unsettled them.
"Yes, sir." The group nodded and followed his order.
The lady with the buzz cut, the group leader, appeared close to him as she made wind wings on her back. She started guiding him on the exact route towards the town. The others used their affinities to maneuver aerially. They followed Aiden’s movements concisely, not daring to move even the tiniest bit from his path.
The mysterious senior obviously had a way of knowing where the sandworms were hiding.
Who the hell was this person?
