Arrival in an isekai
Chapter 149: Kallen’s +18 wait. Manor breakfast
You step into the corridor and nearly collide with Neia Baraja. The Sacred Kingdom squire is dressed in last night's red-trimmed witch apprentice costume, the one that still makes her cheeks flush when she catches her own reflection. She freezes mid-stride, grey eyes widening at finding you directly in her path.
"Good morning," she manages, straightening her posture with military reflex.
You catch her wrist gently and draw her close. The kiss is patient, your lips pressing against hers with deliberate warmth. Neia makes a soft surprised sound against your mouth before melting into it, her hands finding your chest for balance. When you pull back, her grey eyes are slightly glazed and her breathing has quickened.
"I'm sorry for not visiting you before you finished getting ready," you tell her. "I've again ran out of morning hours."
Neia blinks rapidly, processing. "You visited Charlotte?"
"Among others. I'll make it up to you later."
"I was just going to check on her," Neia says, recovering her composure with visible effort. "She seemed tense last night. I wanted to make sure she was alright before breakfast."
"She's doing better than you'd expect. Go ahead. And consider picking another of her outfits."
Neia nods, offering you a small smile that carries genuine warmth rather than obligation. She continues down the corridor toward Charlotte's door while you turn the opposite direction, making your way toward Kallen's room.
The door opens quietly. Morning light filters through curtains, casting the room in soft gold. Kallen is in bed, but she is not asleep. Red hair spills across the pillow in tangled waves, and her blue eyes fix on you the moment you enter with an expression that sits somewhere between irritation and hunger.
"About time," she says, voice carrying that particular edge of competitive frustration. "I heard Milly. Then Shirley and Villetta. Then Lisara. Then Charlotte, for god's sake! Do you have any idea how long I've been lying here?"
Her bunny suit hangs draped over the chair beside the bed. She must have put it on, then stripped back out of it when waiting became unbearable. The sheet covers her from the waist down, her bare breasts rising and falling with agitated breath.
You cross the room in three strides and kiss her. Deep, consuming, your tongue claiming her mouth until the irritation in her jaw softens into something far more yielding. Kallen's hands grip your shoulders, nails digging in with the particular intensity she brings to everything.
Your clothes vanish into inventory. The sheet comes away in one smooth pull, revealing her completely naked body stretched across rumpled linen. Pale skin flushed pink from arousal and frustration, her breasts full and heavy, nipples already peaked.
"You're impossible," she breathes against your lips.
You lift her thighs, positioning yourself between them. Your shaft slides against her slick entrance, coating yourself in her wetness. Kallen's hips roll instinctively, chasing the contact, her competitive irritation transmuted entirely into desperate want.
"You made me wait," she gasps.
You push inside her in one steady thrust. Kallen's head falls back, a moan tearing from her throat that carries every ounce of pent-up frustration and desire. Her inner walls clench around you immediately, hot and tight and welcoming.
You set a pace designed to make her breasts bounce. Each thrust drives deep, your hips meeting hers with a rhythm that sends her chest bouncing in counterpoint. Kallen's hands find the headboard, gripping it for leverage as her body rocks with your movements. Her red hair swings across the pillow, blue eyes half-lidded with pleasure.
"There," she manages between thrusts. "That's more like it."
Her legs wrap around your waist, pulling you deeper with each stroke. The competitive fire in her eyes burns brighter now, but it has found its proper channel.
You maintain the pace, each thrust measured and deliberate, red hair fanning across the pillow in wild disarray. The competitive fire in her blue eyes melting into something rawer, needier, her usual bravado stripped away by the steady relentless pace.
"You're worth waiting for," you tell her, voice low and unhurried against her ear.
Kallen's breath hitches. Her nails rake down your back, leaving trails of heat. "Don't say things like that," she gasps, but her hips roll up to meet your next thrust, contradicting every word. "You'll make me think you actually mean it."
"I do mean it."
Her eyes squeeze shut. The pressure builds, your hips snapping forward with increasing force while your hands find her breasts. You cup them fully, thumb and fingers pinching and twisting her nipples in slow circles that make her spine arch. Kallen's mouth opens but no coherent words emerge, only broken fragments of sound that grow louder with each stroke.
"Blank," she breathes, and the way she says your name carries simple, honest, desperate want.
You feel her walls begin to flutter around you, the telltale tightening that signals her approaching limit. You don't slow down. Instead you drive harder, deeper, your shaft filling her completely while your fingers pinch and pull her nipples. Kallen's hands abandon the headboard and find your shoulders, gripping with white-knuckle intensity.
"I'm going to," she starts, then her entire body seizes. The climax hits her like a wave crashing against rocks, her back bowing off the mattress as a cry tears from her throat. Her inner walls clench around your shaft, milking you with desperate pulses.
You empty yourself into her at that moment, hips pressed flush against hers as your own release follows hers. The sensation draws out her orgasm further, her body trembling through extended aftershocks while you spill inside her. Your hands continue their work on her breasts, kneading the soft flesh, fingers tracing patterns across flushed skin as her breathing gradually steadies.
Kallen lies beneath you like something wrung out, chest heaving, red hair plastered to her face with sweat. Her blue eyes are glazed and unfocused, lips parted around ragged breaths. You continue the gentle fondling, palms warm against her breasts, fingers brushing her nipples in lazy circles that draw soft involuntary sounds from her.
"Stay," she murmurs, voice barely audible.
"Breakfast is waiting."
"Five more minutes."
You kiss her instead, slow and thorough, tasting the salt on her lips. When you pull back, her eyes have regained some focus, though the competitive sharpness hasn't returned yet.
The cleaning cantrip washes over both of you in a ripple of pale blue light. You dress with a thought, fabric materializing from inventory. Kallen watches you with an expression that sits somewhere between satisfaction and reluctance.
"Same time tomorrow?" she asks, pulling herself upright. Her bunny suit still hangs on the chair, untouched.
"You're getting ahead of yourself. Tonight comes first, if you're lucky."
She throws a pillow at you. It bounces off your shoulder harmlessly. "Get out before I decide you're not done."
You catch her wrist before she can reach for you again, press one final kiss to her knuckles, and leave her to dress. The corridor outside is alive with the sounds of the manor waking fully. Voices drift up from the main hall below, the clatter of dishes and the warm smell of the Heroes Feast rising through the floorboards.
You descend the stairs into the main hall where breakfast is already in full swing. The long table groans under eggs and bread and fresh fruits. The morning light streams through tall windows, catching the various states of dress and undress around the table with almost theatrical clarity.
Euphemia sits primly in her open-cup maid outfit, strapless bra in place, violet eyes bright as she converses with Milly about something magical. Villetta occupies the seat beside her, dark skin gleaming in the morning sun, her own matching outfit drawing the eye with its deliberate exposure. Shirley has adopted the half-cup variant, her orange hair loose around her shoulders, amber eyes flickering with that performative shyness that masks genuine comfort.
Lacus picks at her food in a pink negligee that leaves very little to imagination, her morning session recovery evident in her slightly flushed cheeks. Arche sits with her sisters, Kuuderika and Ureirika chattering about lessons while their older sister maintains her composed bearing in a blue-trimmed blouse that somehow manages to be both academic and revealing.
Lisara has dressed practically, auburn hair tied back, though her outfit still follows the household aesthetic of form-fitting fabric that emphasizes her athletic frame.
Then Charlotte enters.
She walks through the doorway with the rigid posture of someone who has made a decision and refuses to second-guess it. Neia walks beside her, grey eyes carrying a supportive steadiness. Charlotte has chosen a white negligee so sheer it might as well be absent, the fabric clinging to every curve, strategic design giving the minimum of public modesty and leaving absolutely nothing else concealed. Her blonde hair has been brushed smooth, falling past her shoulders. Blue eyes scan the room with analytical precision, cataloging reactions, finding her place in the ecosystem.
Neia wears a matching white negligee of identical transparency, clearly selected from Charlotte's wardrobe as a gesture of solidarity. The Sacred Kingdom squire's cheeks carry a permanent flush, but her posture has straightened since yesterday. Shared mortification has built something between them.
"Good morning," Charlotte says to the room at large, voice perfectly controlled. She takes a seat beside Neia without covering herself, without flinching, without any of the white-knuckle desperation from last night. Something has shifted.
You settle into your chair at the head of the table, accepting a plate from Enri with a nod of thanks. The food is excellent as always.
Minutes later, Kallen arrives. Red hair still damp, bunny suit pulled on with aggressive confidence. The black fabric hugs every curve, fishnet stockings catching the light. She drops into the seat beside you with deliberate possessiveness, blue eyes sweeping the table to confirm she is the only one in full costume.
"Morning," she announces to no one in particular, reaching across the table for bread.
Lucy sits across from you, pink hair framing her childlike face. She has been watching the social dynamics with quiet fascination, her diclonius vectors occasionally flickering invisible at her fingertips when something interests her.
"Lucy," you say, catching her attention. "Kallen will be your partner for the park visit today."
Lucy's eyes widen with immediate excitement. She turns to Kallen with an expression of pure unfiltered delight that makes the red-haired girl blink in surprise.
"Really?" Lucy asks, leaning forward. "We can go together?"
Kallen's mouth opens, then closes. She glances at you, then back at Lucy's eager face. Something softens in her expression despite her best efforts to maintain her competitive edge.
"Yeah, sure," Kallen says, voice carrying more warmth than she probably intends. "I guess I can show you around. Just don't slow me down."
Lucy beams. The smile is so genuine and unguarded that several people at the table pause mid-bite to observe it. Charlotte's analytical gaze fixes on the exchange with visible interest.
You turn your attention to Charlotte, who sits with perfect posture at the table, her sheer white negligee leaving only her nipples and crotch to imagination while her expression maintains a calculated composure you have come to recognize as her particular mental brand of armor. Neia occupies the seat beside her, matching outfit and matching flush, though the squire's sharp grey eyes carry more warmth than embarrassment this morning.
"How are you feeling about your first day at a magical school?" you ask.
Charlotte's blue eyes flick to you with analytical precision. "I've attended military academies since age twelve. I imagine the curriculum will be different, but the structure of institutional learning is universal."
"It's not quite like that," Neia offers quietly. "Velroth is patient. And the other students are mostly village children who've never held a weapon before attending."
"So I'll be the overqualified transfer student," Charlotte says, and something in her tone suggests this is not entirely unwelcome. She straightens slightly. "I can work with that."
You let your gaze move between them deliberately. "You both look beautiful together. The matching choice was inspired."
Neia's cheeks deepen from pink to crimson. Charlotte's jaw tightens fractionally, but she doesn't look away. Instead she lifts her chin with a defiance that borders on pride. "Neia suggested it. I agreed because solidarity requires visible commitment."
"That's one way to put it," Neia mutters into her cup.
Breakfast winds down gradually. Kuuderika and Ureirika finish their eggs and begin gathering their school satchels, chattering about whether today's lesson will cover basic manipulation or continued elemental theory. Arche rises to escort them, blonde hair catching the morning light as she herds her sisters toward the door with a practiced efficiency.
You push back from the table as the last plates are cleared. Enri collects dishes with Nemu's help, the village coordinator moving through domestic tasks with the same quiet competence she brings to everything.
"Before you all scatter," you say, voice carrying across the hall with casual authority. Conversations pause. Eyes turn toward you. "A reminder. Train and study more than you gossip. Your free time before the adventures start will run out before you know it."
Lisara snorts from her seat near the hearth. "He says that like we don't already have homework."
"Homework is the long-term," you reply. "I'm talking about actual preparation. Physical conditioning. Combat practice. Learning to defend yourself. The comfortable routine you've settled into won't last forever."
Kallen leans back in her chair, bunny suit stretched taut across her chest. "When do the adventures start, then? You keep hinting."
"When the group is ready. When the last woman on my list accepts or denies, I'll head to the first world to prepare."
"That's annoyingly vague."
"It's intentionally vague. Also accurate enough that you don't have days for idle gossip."
Milly catches your eye from across the table, blue gaze carrying that analytical weight. She gives a small nod, already cataloging which household members treat your warning seriously and which treat it as background noise. Euphemia has straightened in her seat, violet eyes thoughtful. Villetta's dark fingers have stopped mid-reach for fruit, her attention fully captured.
Charlotte rises from her seat, smoothing the negligee over her hips. "I should prepare for school. Neia, shall we?"
Neia stands immediately, falling into step beside Charlotte with the easy rhythm of developing friendship. The two women exit together, white fabric swaying almost in unison, a matched pair navigating the household's expectations side by side.
Kallen pushes away from the table and stretches, arms above her head, the bunny suit creaking with the motion. She catches Lucy's eager gaze and sighs with theatrical resignation. "Fine. Let's go to the park. But I'm picking the route."
Lucy practically bounces on her heels, pink hair swinging. "Yes! I know all the routes! I can show you which ones have the best views!"
"That's... not what I meant." Kallen glances at you with an expression that says 'what have you done to me.' Then she follows Lucy out the door, red hair trailing behind her like a banner of reluctant acceptance.
