Chapter 2290: Iandra Declaration
Tang Shaoyang was not expecting that kind of answer. She looked calm, showing no hostility or aggression. However, she was extremely quiet, quieter than usual.
That was unusual of her, and then she said that she wanted to murder all dragons here, destroying the Dragon Realm as well. She mentioned that there was something she could not tell him in front of the dragons. He was not going to pursue it further, not right. Their gazes met, and Avyn nodded.
Tang Shaoyang recalled Avyn back, his strongest spirit. Then he met Orve’s gaze, "That’s what she said. But yeah, maybe I will return someday..."
Zara had already opened the gate to his Demonic Calamity World. He could return to Earth through there. So yeah, he didn’t need to use the Stygian Wither Clan.
"Are you going to leave already? Don’t you still have something to talk about with them?"
Orve knew why Tang Shaoyang came here: to talk with the Stygian Wither Clan. Since the whole Dragon Realm was his domain, he should have known that too.
Tang Shaoyang glanced at Krazon, not even acknowledging the Elders. His early positive impression of Krazon was gone with this incident. Not that this was Krazon’s fault to begin with, but that changed nothing. They didn’t need to intervene, yet they went so far as to go against him the moment they were in a different situation.
There was no need for further talk after that incident. It was not even worth talking about when they would turn their sword toward him the moment the Dragon Realm was involved. There was no need to consider their cooperation, let alone letting them join as a vassal.
"No. I already knew what they wanted, and they have given me their answer by staying loyal to the Dragon Realm in that situation. If they want to stay loyal to this place, why did they even seek me out? Is this..."
Tang Shaoyang narrowed his eyes at the possibility that this might be a scheme.
"No! There’s no scheme or..." Krazon tried to clear it up.
Tang Shaoyang shook his head, waved his hand at Krazon, "There’s no need to explain. I no longer have an interest in your clan or whatever you are going to propose."
"So yeah, I am leaving..." He paused, squinted his eyes as he remembered something, "What will your stance be if I attack one of the clans residing in the Dragon Realm?"
He was not talking about the Stygian Wither Clan. He was talking about the Metarnian Clan. The clan that was part of the Nirvana Alliance. Orve should be aware which clan he talked about.
"It means you are declaring..."
"Silence!" Tang Shaoyang cut Zonaras off, "I am not asking you. What I want is Orve’s answer, not you!" He was not going to waste his time listening to Zonaras when he didn’t have authority over the whole realm. Meanwhile, Orve’s authority was absolute. Orve’s answer mattered the most in this conversation more than the Dragon Guardian.
For the first time that Orve wavered, his eyes looked conflicted for a moment. Just for a moment, but Tang Shaoyang caught it.
"As long as you don’t drag everyone in the Dragon Realm into a meaningless war, then I will not intervene."
That was Orve’s answer.
Tang Shaoyang understood what he tried to say. Orve would not personally intervene, but that didn’t mean the other Dragon Guardians would do the same. Orve would not stop Tang Shaoyang, but he also would not stop the clan or the Dragon Guardians.
But if the Dragon Realm decided to fight him, that meant Orve would side with the Dragon Realm. That was the answer.
"I see... if that’s your answer, then I have to leave the Metarnian Clan for last. If you give me a different answer, I might as well visit them right now. Your underling gets me excited for nothing, so I am thinking of venting my frustration on them. That’s a bummer."
Iandra reacted when he mentioned the Metarnian Clan. A flash of a changed expression. That confirmed the information that Iandra was a patron of the Metarnian Clan. However, Iandra said nothing.
By now, they should have known what the Nirvana Alliance had caused within the Administrator. They should also know his issue with the Metarnian Clan.
"Alright, that’s all. I have no more questions. It’s a pity we can’t chat right now. Let’s hope next time we meet in a different circumstance."
Tang Shaoyang was about to leave until a harmonious yet gentle voice resounded, "Wait. I have a question for you."
He turned around and met Iandra’s eyes. It was a feminine voice, and Iandra was the only woman here.
Tang Shaoyang stopped, turning toward Iandra, "And who might you be?"
"My name is Iandra, one of the Dragon Guardians. The Metarnian Clan you mentioned is one of my descendants."
Tang Shaoyang confirmed his guess that the blue dragon was Iandra, "And what’s your question?"
"You are planning to attack one of my descendants," She stated the obvious, more likely repeating what Tang Shaoyang said previously.
"That’s not a question, Iandra. You are just repeating my words. I am listening because your Monarch is polite enough to answer my question. If you have no question, then I will leave."
"Are you pretending not to understand what I mean? Do I have to tell you word for word?" Her voice suddenly went cold, losing her gentleness.
"Is that your question?" Tang Shaoyang shrugged, "Maybe you will get the answer you want if you try to be direct instead of talking in a roundabout way. Have you tried it?"
Iandra was visibly annoyed, could no longer maintain her calmness, but she didn’t get aggressive or hostile outright, "You will make me your enemy if you are attacking my descendants. I am not as heartless as Nirdarth, and I am not as uncaring as Ammor to ignore my descendants. I will step in if you attack my descendants!"
Tang Shaoyang took a glance at Ammor. Iandra just told him that he could not bait Ammor to fight him with his descendant. That was good information if he wanted to help Baccara’s vengeance without involving Orve.
Even though he could not read anything about Orve, he could tell this Dragon Monarch was bad news. So it would be better not to involve Orve when the time came. As for what Iandra told him, he didn’t care if Iandra would intervene or not. It would not change his mind to wipe out the Metarnian Clan.
