Chapter 1987: Shopping Spree (1)

Chapter 1987: Shopping Spree (1)

Tang Shaoyang arrived in the center of a massive hall. The place was crowded with people from many different races as well, and it was a surprise to see so many people. But then he recalled what Azhug told him, that this space was not exclusive to the Shepherd of Beast Spirit.

Azhug motioned to follow, and he followed the Ogre, approaching one of the counters, “You need an identification to do business here, whether you are buying or selling. Identification is important here, or else no one would sell or buy from you, Sir. It’s not hard to get an identification…”

“Welcome to the Beast Spirit Alliance. How may I help you, Sirs?” A beautiful cat-folk smiled from behind a counter. Her voice was gentle and pleasant to the ears.

“Hello. My boss wants to get an identification. He is one of the shepherds,” Azhug answered.

Tang Shaoyang noticed a slight change in the attendant’s expression when Azhug mentioned he was a shepherd. The lady bowed toward Tang Shaoyang, “Welcome to Beast Spirit Alliance, Sir.”

“If you must have an identification, if you want to conduct a transaction in the Beast Spirit Alliance, you must fill out this form to obtain your identification. The one written with bold words means you must fill it, and you don’t have to fill the one without the bold marker, Sir.”

Tang Shaoyang took the form, and it was a simple form. Name, Status, and Menagerie were marked in bold. Everything was written normally, meaning he did not need to fill it. There was Rank, Level, Faction, Other Affiliations, and so on.

He filled his name, Status as Shepherd, and Tang Garden as the Menagerie. He thought of using his connection with the Administrator in Other Affiliations and maybe his actual rank. He did not mind people finding out about those two things.

“Just fill the bold marker, Sir. Some people don’t want to do business with someone with a certain affiliation, and it’s not a minority who hate administrators as well. They might not want to do business with you if they know about your faction and your other status.”

Azhug gave an input in a whisper, and Tang Shaoyang trusted Azhug in that matter. He handed the form, and the attendant seemed to expect Tang Shaoyang not to fill most of them. She returned to the back and returned with a gold card in her hand.

“This is your identification. The Beast Spirit Alliance wishes for you to have a good time and get what you want from our place, Sir.”

Name: Tang Shaoyang

Rank: God Rank

Status: Shepherd

Menagerie: Tang Garden

Transaction: 0

Review: Neutral

Tang Shaoyang expected to see his general information on the gold card, but he did not expect the two additional pieces of information. He could understand what Transaction stood for, but he did not understand the Review.

“What is this Review about?” He asked Azhug as they walked away from the counter.

“I would say review doesn’t really matter for us since we are not opening a business here. That’s right, the review is only for the seller, and they are given by the customers who buy things from your shop. We don’t need to worry about it.”

“However, the number of transactions actually matters for you. The sellers will look at us positively based on how many transactions you have done. People use it as a trust measurement. By doing a lot of transactions, people tend to believe that you are a trusted shopper.”

“What do you mean we are not selling anything? We can agree not to sell our Beast Spirits, but we can sell the toys and the food. Liora is an expert, and I believe it will be just a matter of time until she discovers a new recipe for Void Sparrow’s treats and feed. We can sell it here to recoup the capital. We might not be able to break even, but at least we can do something to reduce the loss for Tang Garden’s future. The menagerie can’t just rely on Sir Tang for more funds.”

Mead had a different idea for not selling anything. She disapproved of Azhug’s idea of not selling anything. Sharing their accomplishment through their research was another way to make the Beast Spirits happy, not just the Beast Spirit in their menagerie.

“I like your idea, but let’s talk about it later, Mead. If we ever want to open a business to sell our unique toys and food, you will be in charge. When we are ready, you can pitch your plan to me.”

Tang Shaoyang noticed that Azhug didn’t want to back down on the matter, so he had to cut it before they argued.

“Let’s focus on what we are here for. Why do you bring me here, Azhug?”

Azhug put the business matter at the back of his head and explained why he was brought to this place. With the expansion and the fresh, he was thinking of buying twelve Beast Spirits if they were lucky. At the same time, they wanted to buy toys and a high-quality feed for the Void Sparrow, the Snow Caracal, and Auspicious Mytherean.

On top of that, he wanted to buy more furniture for Auspicious Mytherean’s palace as well. With that in mind, Mead and Lavender split up. They would be in charge of buying the toys, furniture, and food.

“Is it okay for them to split up? Aren’t we supposed to increase the number of transactions for my card?” Tang Shaoyang asked after Mead and Lavender left.

“We also have our own identification card, and we can use our card to do a transaction on behalf of Tang Garden. So you don’t need to worry about it as it will count to your transaction, Sir.”

The Ogre took out his silver card and handed it to Tang Shaoyang to inspect.

Name: Azhug Oogurim

Status: Caretaker

Menagerie: Tang Garden

Transaction: 0

Review: Neutral

Tang Shaoyang nodded understandingly as he handed back the silver card, “So what do you mean by we can buy Beast Spirit if we are lucky? I thought they sell Beast Spirits?”

Azhug motioned to take the left as they reached an intersection before answering.

“It depends on what you are looking for, Sir. It will be hard if you are looking for a battle-type Beast Spirit. The giant emporium has its people here, and they will buy all available battle-type Beast Spirits. The sellers tend to sell the Beast Spirit to the giant emporium with a trustworthy reputation, so even if you have the money, it will be hard to out-buy the giant emporium.”

Azhug continued on about how popular the battle-type Beast Spirit was. Even if one was not a Shepherd, one could make a contract with the Beast Spirit. A Battle-Type Beast Spirit was a reliable companion and guardian. The rich usually bought one for their children, and it was expensive to buy a battle-type because of how rare they were.

“I see…” Tang Shaoyang understood why some people would go beyond just acquiring more Beast Spirits. It seemed like the Beast Spirit was a big market with big value.

“I am not looking for a specific Beast Spirit, but I prefer a gentle and appealing Beast Spirit, especially for children. As I said, I am not trying to open a new business. My vision for the Tang Garden is to create a playground for my children. I don’t want a wild and unstable Beast Spirit that could hurt my daughter.”

Tang Shaoyang told Azhug half of the truth. His main goal was, of course, still the bonus attributes from the Beast Spirit. Azhug did not need to know that, and it would be good if they could get a battle-type Beast Spirit that was not dangerous for children, but it was also fine if they could not get the battle-type Beast Spirit.

“Your goal is to increase the Beast Spirit in my Tang Garden as much as possible. Of course, you have to take care of them for me as well. That’s your job, and you don’t need to be worried about funds and resources.”

The Ogre’s red eyes were twinkling when he heard Tang Shaoyang’s vision. The Druid had a positive reaction and got even more excited about his job.

“We are here, Sir.”

They arrived in a massive square, and a lot of stalls were installed in order. Of course, there were also stores surrounding the square, and the ones in the middle seemed to be the most standout stores compared to the others. It was a ten-floor round tower, and it was split by six emporiums.

He could see their names with his Chaos Eyes, and he recognized two of the names: The Cladeos Emporium and The Gosthone Emporium.

He had a recent encounter with the people from the Gosthone Emporium, and he made transactions with the Cladeos Emporium during the Trial of God. He did not expect to see one in this place.

“Should we check the stall first, or the store owned by the established business?”
