Armed Train in the Apocalypse
Chapter 930 - 522: Striving to Mend the Heavens (Part 7)
The Wolf King has still not appeared, but the wolf pack seems like it’s being directed by a collective consciousness, taking turns to slash the convoy’s battle lines like waves.
Every so often, a warrior gets dragged into the snowstorm, leaving a glaring trail of blood.
"Get out of the way!"
Just as a warrior is about to be taken down, Lao Er shouts explosively and yanks the handle on the other’s tactical vest, pulling him back.
The gunstock viciously crushes onto the attacking snow wolf’s nose, causing it to let out a painful whimper.
The barrel swivels, blowing the head of the Tier One snow wolf sky-high with a shot.
Firing several shots in succession, taking down one with each shot, he alone covers a platoon’s gap with his firepower.
Lao Er’s shotgun is as long as a heavy sniper rifle; it can load and fire dual barrels simultaneously and uses Pan Energy explosive rounds. Not to mention Tier One, even Tier Two wolves would have their heads blasted open with a shot.
It is his big brother’s latest creation, the "Savage Lion-4 Model" shotgun, with only two features: the first is its immense power; the second is its incredibly damn immense power!
The magazine holds six rounds but can only fire three at a time. However, as long as there are bullets in the magazine, it’s an undisputed battlefield weapon, with single killing potential that even surpasses heavy snipers.
For the Evolution Beast’s formidable life force, having a hole drilled through by a heavy sniper isn’t even painful, but getting shot up close with the Savage Lion offers absolutely no hope of survival.
"Everyone clear the way, make room!"
Lao Er roars, completely disregarding the wolf pack charging again in front of him.
"Boom boom boom!"
A string of artillery fires directly hits the heads of the wolf pack.
A transport vehicle, carrying artillery, roars out of the formation, Qu Hang atop gestures downward, and several wolf heads look as if pressed by an invisible giant hand, lowering sharply, with even their whimper crushed before they are pulverized by the wind.
Watching the vehicle pass by, the person above lightly hammers on his left shoulder, Lao Er chuckles softly, taps his shotgun on his left shoulder; his task is to lead the rookie camp to stand firm. If he isn’t there, the rookie camp’s morale would scatter.
From a high altitude view, twelve transport vehicles formed into six groups, helping each other and fleeing in all directions.
Initially, the Genetic Warriors were somewhat restless, but when Su Han’s figure stepped to the frontline and calmly communicated orders to various troops, everyone’s hearts began to settle slightly.
In the span of three years, Su Han rose through the ranks from a soldier in the Armed Corps to an officer, commanding numerous battles. Even without noting her dazzling achievements, soldiers were familiar with her voice, acting instinctively according to her commands.
Although difficult, under Su Han’s command, they really stabilized the formation.
Just as everyone sighed with slight relief, a transport vehicle that rushed out came flying back in disarray, crashing into the snowbank in front of the battle line, the snow erupted waterfall-like for dozens of meters, engulfing the entire battlefield, the snow dust darkening the sky.
For Evolution Beasts that live on instinct, it had no influence at all, with dozens of warriors on the periphery instantly assaulted and dragged away by the wolf pack.
Su Han frowned, raised a hand, her gray-green windcoat flicking, freeing up a space of ten-plus meters in front of her instantly by scattering snow powder, though it still wasn’t enough for the battlefield, she intended to check the surveillance equipment inside the vehicle when a sudden gale pressed the snow powder back to the ground.
A bleeding silhouette flew back like a giant bird, landing on top of the vehicle.
Seeing the wounds on the body, Su Han’s pupils slightly contracted.
Three ferocious claw marks extended from the right chest to the thigh, the armed windcoat and Four Symbols battle uniform were both clawed through, in such a short time, the blood pooled down beneath Qu Hang’s feet.
Huayang and another Tier Three member of the crew immediately followed suit, leaping onto the roof.
"Are Yu and the kids alright?"
Su Han shook her head solemnly, "They’re fine, has the Lord arrived?"
She of course didn’t let Yu Yue and them risk breaking through, it was merely a test of how tightly packed the beast blockade was, while the kids remained in the cabin at her feet from start to finish.
Huayang gave a bitter smile, turning his head, "See for yourself."
The snow dust in the sky was pressed down by Qu Hang, under the daylight, the air cleared up once more.
Accompanying a low and majestic howl, the wolf pack retreated, yet still bared their fangs, glaring viciously at them.
A snow wolf over eight meters long slowly emerged from the snowstorm, its massive figure like a mountain but not bloated; rather, it exhibited a blend of force and beauty. As it graced the battlefield, everyone felt a delusion that the snow field subtly adjusted its angle just to better outline its profile.
With each footstep, the silver-white fur rippled like water, icy-golden eyes narrowed into vertical slits, coldly disparaging them like a monarch sizing up his prey.
Here, he is the Lord of the snowstorm, not the humans standing before him.
Perhaps having discerned the convoy’s strength, disdain flashed in the Wolf King’s eyes, just as it prepared to exit the battlefield for its minions to commence the hunt, its head snapped sharply toward the eastern sky.
Under its gaze, one by one, artillery shells seemed like slow-motion meteors, elegantly crossing the sky, descending upon the snow layer they stood upon.
The Snow Wolf King emits an angry snarl, and on its crystal-clear fur, elusive patterns emerged, the power of unknown laws intersecting the sky, hundreds of missiles halted in mid-air, vanishing without a trace.
