Chapter 1865: The Strength of the Northern Territory Federation

So the Outer City is chaotic, and people die every day.

Some people come in, find work, and stay if they can get food.

But there are many who have no choice but to leave the Northern Territory Federation. In the north, the Northern Territory Federation is perhaps the largest force, with tall walls providing some shelter, at least from the threat of zombies.

Thus, every day new survivors come in.

At times like this, apart from being bitten to death by zombies, some would rather starve inside than go out.”

Dapao furrowed his brow and continued to ask:

“You just mentioned an Outer City, is there also an Inner City?”

“Yes, there are two cities, Inner City and Outer City. The Outer City mainly houses incoming refugees. I haven’t been to the Inner City, but rumors say it’s very good there, with streets and shops….”

“How many people are in the Inner City?” Dapao asked.

Xiao Yuan was interrupted and replied with a frown, “I don’t know precisely, but there should be a few thousand.

They say the population of the Inner City might be less than a tenth of the Outer City residents.

They occupy the best positions, controlling most resources.”

Dapao estimated that if the child was telling the truth, then the combat personnel of this Northern Territory Federation should be between a few thousand to ten thousand.

The Outer City residents, likely lacking much combat capability.

Still, not to be underestimated; according to the child, on a scale and in personnel numbers, or in weapons, the Northern Territory Federation?

Hmm?

Dapao continued to ask: “How many planes do they have? Have you seen any?”

“Oh yes, we often see Governor Yuan Zhi’s helicopter flying out.”

“How many?”

“No idea, but the most I’ve seen at once was six helicopters flying side by side; it looked impressive! So I think Governor Yuan Zhi must have at least six helicopters under his command.”

Upon hearing this, Dapao’s mood became more solemn.

As it turns out, the kid wasn’t wrong. Even if not compared to Oil City, this Northern Territory Federation is much stronger compared to Big Camphor Tree Base.

But then he thought, and opened his mouth to ask:

“You mentioned earlier it might be the second young master Sima Xi’s expedition team, but what about your governor? What’s his situation?”

Xiao Yuan thought for a moment and said, “Governor Yuan Zhi is known in the Federation; there is some friction between him and the Sima Family.

The Sima Family advocates for advancement through expansion and annexation.

But Governor Yuan Zhi supports collaborative and mutual development, though it seems not very successful.”

Dapao inhaled deeply and exhaled heavily.

This Northern Territory Federation is indeed terrifying!

But he also grasped one thing.

The Big Camphor Tree Base isn’t weak either; thinking back to when they went to Southeast Asia, it wasn’t the bullets but the zombies that killed most.

Strengthened Zombie Attraction Potion, judging by its potency, might be able to withstand a million-strong Zombie Tide despite the artillery and aircraft.

Thinking of this, Dapao steadied his emotions.

However, as a member of Big Camphor Tree Base, accustomed to sweeping enemies away, suddenly facing such a formidable enemy was unsettling for him.

Dapao then inquired more details about the Northern Territory Federation, especially regarding Sima Xi.

….

Central building of Oil City.

Li Tie looked around at everyone and said:

“Knowing Dapao, he would probably be in that interrogation room where the captured person is held. Where is the interrogation room? Let’s go check it out.”

Ju Tianrui paused for a few seconds.

Dapao was really diligent, in a hurry.

He grabbed the helmet and told everyone:

“This way, to the small house at the far end, follow me.”

“Okay.” Li Tie and Lao Yi nodded, took their helmets, and followed.

They headed in that direction.

Upon reaching the western house, they saw a man standing by the door, seeming to listen inside.

“Xiao He, what are you doing? Why stay at the door and not go in?” Ju Tianrui asked curiously.

Xiao He rushed over, excitedly said: “Brother Pao is amazing; he managed to get the kid to talk quickly. I didn’t catch it all, but it seems he was sent by a force called the Northern Territory Federation.”

“Northern Territory Federation?” several people said in unison.

“Yes, yes, it seems that’s the name.” Xiao He said, his face full of excitement.

“Let’s go, have a look.” Li Tie said.

Everyone headed into the house.

Tap-tap-tap——

Creaaak——

The door suddenly opened, and Dapao turned his head toward the door.

From outside, a dozen people marched in.

Li Tie took off his helmet, smiled at Ju Tianrui and Lao Yi next to him, and said: “Look at this kid!”

Seeing them come in, Dapao straightened up, having talked enough with the child.

Right now, he just wanted to inform Li Yu about the situation as soon as possible.

A formidable enemy suddenly emerging and spying on them was worrying.

Li Tie saw Dapao’s serious expression and, knowing him well, understood that things might be beyond their imagination.

So he collected his smile and asked Dapao seriously: “How’s it going? Did you get any information?”

Dapao nodded.

Then he continued to speak to Su Yuan in front of him:

“Rest assured, I will fulfill the promise I made earlier; just cooperate well, help us find those people outside, and we will let you go back to find your sister.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuan looked at Dapao with a complex expression.

To him, this man was still terrifying, but out of options, he could only place his hope on him.

Dapao walked toward Li Tie and the others, seeing Ju Tianrui and others taking off their helmets ready to ask, he raised a hand to stop them: “Let’s talk in the meeting room.”

Everyone gave Dapao a curious glance, silently wondering: What did he find out that’s so mysterious?

Quickly, they entered the meeting room.

Dapao took off his helmet and said to everyone:

“He was sent by the Northern Territory Federation to scout, and besides him, there’s a group waiting outside…”
