Da-da-da, da-da-da.

Poof... ding ding!

The chaotic scene couldn’t suppress the gunfire...

Seeing the situation almost uncontrollable, Brother Dog promptly raised his rifle and pulled the trigger, firing a burst at the ceiling of the hall. Bullets hit the roof and steel structure, scattering dust and sparks, and the scene quieted down.

"Do you think I’m joking with you? If the zombie horde issue isn’t resolved, no one will be spared. Not going, huh? No problem! When the zombies come, every one of you will be cannon fodder!"

Man is the knife, and I am the fish; there are no easy ways out... everyone was dejected once again.

At this moment, their beliefs almost crumbled; they couldn’t distinguish whether the enemy was the zombies or humans themselves. To say the enemy wasn’t the zombies, the people of Bajiazi Village took them hostage to resist the zombies. But to say the enemy was the zombies, the power of life and death was now in the hands of their own kind!

"Justice will ultimately triumph over evil. What you’re doing will lead to your own destruction!" Dazhuang gritted his teeth.

"Haha..." Brother Dog couldn’t help but laugh, nodding, "You’re right, justice will ultimately triumph over evil because the winning side always represents justice!"

The brutally honest words broke the mental defenses of the Civilization Guardian survivors...

The atmosphere inside the hall was oppressive, and the tension was equally high at the barracks’ main entrance.

"Where are you from? You’re not welcome here, get lost!"

A man in an oversized camouflage coat stood on the sentry post, yelling at the people outside the gate. He held a steel gun, his eyes full of vigilance and tension, his attitude very firm.

???

Li Zongkai looked at the person on the sentry post, bewildered, Who the hell is this?

Wu Daqiang frowned and said, "Could it be, hey..."

"Hey, young man, we’re from the Survivor Alliance, here specifically for a resource exchange. Quickly notify your Chairman Li, and tell him Old Zhang from the Survivor Alliance is here!"

Zhang Su jumped out of the car, his voice loud and full of presence, immediately interrupting Wu Daqiang’s intended inquiry.

Next to him, Li Zongkai and the others had fascinating expressions, their minds racing as Zhang Su began his performance.

The guy up there had smudges on his face and a mess of hair sticking out from under his felt hat, not at all looking like someone from Civilization Guardian, and the most startling part was he didn’t even recognize Li Zongkai.

In less than three seconds, they pieced things together, concluding with a jaw-dropping realization.

Civilization Guardian has fallen!

If not for Zhang Su’s quick reaction, they wouldn’t have believed this even if given ten more seconds, by then it would have been too late to avoid alerting the enemy!

Li Zongkai and Wu Daqiang exchanged glances, having recovered from their shock with a sense of horror. On their way from Lego Mall, they only dealt with a few dozen zombies, delaying less than twenty minutes, yet the situation had utterly transformed beyond words!

"Old Zhang from the Survivor Alliance? Resource exchange?"

The man on the sentry post scratched his head, looking a bit slow.

While the other side pondered, Zhang Su turned his body and solemnly instructed, "Don’t make any rash moves!"

Through the narrow crack, Zhang Su vaguely saw the empty barracks.

All signs pointed to one thing, just as Dazhuang previously stated, Bajiazi Village had taken control of Civilization Guardian!

The worst scenario had happened, though it seemed improbable, the truth was before them. How it was accomplished, Zhang Su didn’t know, but one thing was certain, the lives of Civilization Guardian survivors were in the other’s hands!

There was no time for further communication, more thoughts remained for everyone to consider privately.

"What kind of resources do you have?"

The man on the sentry took about ten seconds to come up with a question.

"Why are you so chatty, little soldier? A few days ago, Chairman Li personally came to the Survivor Alliance to see me, saying the barracks were running low on living supplies and hoping to trade weapons for some daily necessities and toilet paper. Hurry and open the door; it’s freezing, my feet are numb, and we need to let the brothers warm up. What’s your problem?"

Zhang Su swaggered to the wall, glaring up at the man on the sentry, completely ignoring the rifle on his chest, but keenly noticed a few faint bloodstains on the coat.

This further confirmed his suspicion, casually asking, "Why is Civilization Guardian so quiet today? Aren’t there usually a few more people on watch? What about that guy on the sentry?"

"He went to the bathroom. He’ll be back soon..."

The man casually replied to Zhang Su, scanning the convoy lined up at the gate, his mind reeling, starting to calculate.

The Survivor Alliance occupies the northern part of Qin City with broad influence, even Bajiazi Village had heard of it, knowing it was a huge entity with reportedly hundreds of survivors. Looking at the lineup, it was indeed remarkable.

Just after taking over the barracks, someone comes knocking ’sending’ resources—it’s almost too good to be true!

"Hey, move it and open the gate already!" Zhang Su motioned with his mouth toward the gate.

"Hold on, I’ll report in!"

The man on the sentry, thinking of double-crossing, absently walked down the sentry, taking out the walkie-talkie: "Brother Dog, Brother Dog, a group arrived outside, and you’ll never guess where they’re from!"

The voice was quiet, and besides Zhang Su, no one outside the wall could hear it, but he didn’t plan to stay outside eavesdropping, drifting up the wall under everyone’s surprised gaze.

Among the crowd, Pang Dakun’s expression was particularly noteworthy; this was his forte, and how did his uncle master it so effortlessly?

"Little Worm, are you crazy? Why sell suspense at a time like this?"

"The Survivor Alliance arrived, saying they want to deal with Civilization Guardian, like twenty-odd vehicles, thirty to forty people. I saw a cargo truck, likely full of supplies!"

"What the hell... the Survivor Alliance is here?"

Inside the hall, Brother Dog muttered with the walkie-talkie, not focused on the supplies, his expression full of tension.

A name carries weight, and the Survivor Alliance has hundreds of survivors, nearly a hundred combatants, sending thirty to forty people just for a transaction, this strength is likely unmatched in the nearby area!

"Yes, the Survivor Alliance is here to make a deal with Civilization Guardian, haha, aren’t they just volunteering to give us supplies?"

Little Worm’s gloating voice gave Brother Dog a headache.

"You’re really not smart, thinking the Survivor Alliance’s stuff is easy to take?"

While Brother Dog murmured about the Survivor Alliance, someone among the Civilization Guardian crowd felt suspicious.

Bajiazi Village didn’t understand the trade situation in Qin City, but they clearly knew, the Survivor Alliance never came to do business; they always exchanged supplies at the Sun City underground mall on fixed days—something was definitely wrong!

Also, wasn’t the Survivor Alliance planning to go to Celestial Horse Island? How do they have time to trade?

What is going on...

Everything’s in chaos, all messed up!
