Apocalypse Supermarket: My Four Overpowered Husbands Wontstop Hoarding
Chapter 113 Strip for the devil V
Chapter 113: Chapter 113 Strip for the devil V
They weren’t the only ones going through the corridor.
Apparently, Malcolm had ordered his guards to follow behind him, while Luna was made to walk several steps ahead of them. Malcolm himself remained at the front, leading the way as though he owned every inch of the place.
Which, judging by the way everyone behaved around him, he probably believed he did.
Luna didn’t complain.
In fact, she was secretly pleased.
Now that they were inside the corridor, she finally had a better opportunity to observe the place without drawing too much attention to herself. Her eyes wandered casually from one side of the passage to the other as she walked.
Rows upon rows of cupboards and large metal cubicles had been built directly into the walls.
There were so many of them that Luna almost lost count.
Some were locked behind thick metal doors, while others seemed to have ordinary storage compartments. The corridor itself looked less like a passageway and more like a massive underground warehouse designed to hold enough supplies for an entire city.
Luna’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Interesting.
The guards were still watching her.
She could feel their gazes following every movement she made.
They obviously didn’t trust her.
Good.
That meant they wouldn’t notice what she was really doing.
Luna activated her system through her eyes.
There was no need for a visible panel anymore. After the system had integrated with her vision, she could scan things simply by looking at them.
Her gaze moved toward the first set of cupboards on the right.
A familiar notification appeared in her vision.
[At the right, the first cupboards contain fresh milk and bread. All supplies were recently produced.]
Luna almost smiled.
Fresh bread?
She looked at the cupboards again.
There was enough bread stored inside to feed hundreds of people.
And milk too.
She couldn’t help wondering who was producing all of this.
Whoever was responsible for keeping such an enormous amount of food fresh was definitely doing a good job.
It was almost sweet.
Almost.
Because unfortunately for them, Luna had just discovered it.
And once Luna discovered supplies, they had a habit of disappearing.
She continued walking, keeping her expression completely blank.
The guards didn’t notice anything.
Malcolm didn’t turn around.
Perfect.
Luna waited until they moved far enough away from the first set of cupboards.
The moment the guards’ attention shifted toward Malcolm, she activated her space.
The entire cupboard vanished.
Not just one loaf of bread.
Not just a few bottles of milk.
The entire cupboard disappeared into her space, supplies and all.
Luna kept walking as though absolutely nothing had happened.
Thank you very much.
She almost felt bad.
Almost.
Her eyes moved toward the next storage area.
This time, there were far more provisions.
Thousands.
Possibly hundreds of thousands.
Luna’s eyes widened slightly when she realized how enormous the storage section was.
There were several massive bunkers built into the walls, each one sealed behind thick metal doors.
She couldn’t tell what was inside them.
But her system could.
Another notification appeared.
[All the supplies normally found in a large store are contained here.]
[Meat, fish, frozen goods, vegetables, pasta, canned food and other provisions have been detected.]
Luna’s eyes practically lit up.
Oh.
Oh, this place is beautiful.
She had originally come here intending to raid the supermarket.
She had expected trouble.
She had expected powerful awakened.
She had even expected to fight.
But she hadn’t expected to stumble into a storage corridor filled with enough provisions to make her entire trip worthwhile before she’d even reached the supermarket.
She continued walking.
Then suddenly—
They stopped.
Luna’s brows pulled together.
Why did they stop here?
She looked ahead.
Malcolm stood before one of the largest bunkers in the corridor.
The massive metal door towered above them.
He turned his head slightly.
"That’s my chamber right through that bunker."
Luna stared at the door.
Of course.
Of fucking course.
She should have expected it from someone as greedy as Malcolm.
A bunker packed with supplies?
Naturally, he’d turn it into his personal room.
Who else would he allow to sleep beside such valuable resources?
Luna almost rolled her eyes.
Greedy bastard.
Still, she wasn’t complaining.
If anything, this was even better.
Because if his personal chamber was connected to the supermarket and storage areas, then there was a very good chance she would get access to everything she needed.
She glanced around.
The guards were still watching her.
Every single one of them looked suspicious.
They clearly couldn’t understand why Malcolm had decided to bring a complete stranger into his private chamber.
But Malcolm was their leader.
If he wanted it, they would obey.
The massive door opened.
Malcolm stepped inside first.
Luna followed.
And the moment she crossed the threshold, she stopped.
Her eyes widened.
For the first time since entering the bunker, she genuinely struggled to keep her expression neutral.
The room was enormous.
No.
Calling it a room was an insult.
It was practically a different dimension.
The space seemed to stretch far beyond what should have been physically possible inside the hill.
A massive bedroom occupied the center, complete with a gigantic bed, expensive-looking furniture, and enough space to fit an entire family.
But that wasn’t what caught Luna’s attention.
Beyond the bedroom—
Was a supermarket.
A real supermarket.
And it seemed almost endless.
Luna stared.
This was nearly half the size of the supermarket inside her own space.
Shelves stretched into the distance, filled with food, equipment, drinks, medicine, household supplies, and countless other things.
Her eyes slowly narrowed.
So this is what you were hiding.
This was exactly what she had come here to raid.
And after seeing it—
Luna knew one thing.
She was taking everything.
She didn’t care how powerful Malcolm was.
She didn’t care how many guards he had.
She didn’t care how fortified the bunker was.
She was going to empty this place.
Once that happened, Malcolm could cry himself to sleep.
Malcolm walked toward the center of the bedroom.
"Now you’re going to undress."
Luna’s expression remained completely stoic.
Malcolm continued.
"While I go over to the mirror and take off my mask. Remember, this place was designed by me. There are different weapons hidden here. If you try anything funny, you’ll be dead before you even reach me."
Luna stared at him.
Of course.
She wasn’t surprised.
Men like Malcolm always acted as though they were invincible.
But deep down, they were usually the most paranoid people in the room.
They surrounded themselves with weapons.
Traps.
Guards.
Fortifications.
Emergency exits.
Everything was designed around one thing.
Fear.
They were terrified someone would attack them.
Luna’s curiosity, however, had shifted toward something else.
How had Malcolm built this bunker?
How long had it taken him?
And more importantly—
How had he managed to move the supermarket here?
She didn’t need to ask him.
There would be someone in this bunker who knew.
She just needed to find them.
"Have you ever been taken by a man to bed?"
The question came so suddenly that Luna actually froze.
She turned toward him.
What the hell?
Her stoic expression almost cracked.
What kind of question was that?
Luna stared at him as though he had suddenly grown another head.
She considered ignoring him.
Instead, she decided to play his game.
"Personal."
Malcolm raised a brow.
"I don’t think my sex life is your business."
She paused.
"Or do you want to marry me?"
For the first time, Malcolm looked genuinely caught off guard.
Then he turned.
His mask was gone.
And Luna finally saw his face.
She stared for half a second.
He was handsome.
She would give him that.
Actually, he was far too handsome for her liking.
And somehow, that only irritated her more.
Malcolm noticed her expression.
"What’s the issue?"
He took a step toward her.
"Speechless? Like what you see?"
Luna said nothing.
"Say something," Malcolm continued. "What would you say if I wanted to marry you?"
The question stayed in Luna’s head for a moment.
Then she burst out laughing.
Not a small laugh either.
She laughed openly.
Malcolm stared at her.
Luna wiped the corner of her eye.
"Oh, don’t mind me."
She tried to compose herself.
"I thought you were just cracking a joke, so I laughed along."
Malcolm’s expression remained surprisingly calm.
"I hate your guts."
Luna’s smile disappeared.
"But I won’t lie."
He stepped closer.
"You balance me very well. So I might reduce your punishment to thirty percent."
Luna stared at him.
What the hell does that even mean?
She refused to move.
More importantly, she refused to remove a single piece of clothing.
Malcolm’s expression darkened.
Before he could say anything else, Luna spoke.
"One thing before we start."
Malcolm paused.
"How did you survive that ocean?"
His eyes narrowed.
"I noticed it had been raging for some time. Something was wrong, which is why we moved the supermarket. But you must have noticed too, didn’t you?"
Luna didn’t answer.
She neither agreed nor disagreed.
Malcolm took another step.
"So you thought I was a puppet you could come here and kill, isn’t that what’s inside that rock you call a head?"
His voice became colder.
"Again, you have one last chance to come clean."
His eyes locked onto hers.
"You have superpowers. Your men have them too. Isn’t that right?"
Luna nearly laughed.
He was so sure.
But he was wrong about one thing.
She wasn’t going to confess.
"Clean about what?"
She lifted her chin.
"Didn’t you scan us? We’re powerless. I don’t have any special abilities."
Malcolm studied her for several seconds.
Then he reached out.
His hand settled against Luna’s hair, fingers tracing along the side of her face.
Luna’s body remained still.
"What a bummer," Malcolm murmured. "For a pretty face like this to go to waste."
His grip suddenly tightened.
"But that’s what happens when you don’t tell the truth."
Before Luna could react, Malcolm grabbed her and slammed her onto the bed.
Her back crashed against a wooden plank.
Pain shot through her body.
A sharp crack echoed.
Luna gritted her teeth.
For one second, she simply stared at him.
Malcolm’s expression twisted into something cruel.
"Now this is how I love to see you."
He moved toward her.
"I’d enjoy watching you get butchered with my own hands."
Luna’s lips slowly curled upward.
A grin appeared across her face.
Malcolm paused.
Something about that smile made the atmosphere change.
Luna didn’t look afraid anymore.
She looked amused.
Inside her head, she asked quietly.
Is it done, system?
A familiar sound answered.
[Ding!]
[Hacking completed.]
[All traps within the chamber are now under your control.]
[You may operate them as desired.]
Luna’s smile widened.
Finally.
That was all she had been waiting for.
She didn’t need to overpower Malcolm.
She didn’t need to fight his guards head-on.
She didn’t even need to know every weapon hidden in this bunker.
She had just taken control of the one thing Malcolm trusted most.
His territory.
His traps.
His defenses.
His precious little fortress.
Malcolm leaned closer.
And Luna moved.
Her legs snapped upward.
Her fo
ot struck directly beneath his jaw.
The force sent him flying backward.
"Argh!"
Malcolm crashed into a shelf.
Glass shattered everywhere.
His body fell heavily among the broken pieces.
For several seconds, the room went silent.
Then blood began running from his nose.
His lips were split, and he coughed violently as blood spilled from his mouth.
Luna sat up slowly on the bed.
Her back still hurt from the impact, but she ignored it.
She looked at Malcolm lying among the broken glass.
Then she smiled dangerously.
