Enzo turned around and instructed their Sniper to utilize her vision to investigate the nesting caverns.

Just as the Sniper was about to use her skill to peer through the darkness in the underwater, a Frostscale Reaver suddenly burst through the solid ice platform behind them.

They were startled, even their Vanguard, a C-Class Warrior, could not sense the Frostscale Reaver’s arrival.

The frozen surface cracked, fissures spreading all over the place.

Enzo’s party members panicked, if they fell to the sea water, not only they would suffer from its cold temperature, the Frostscale Reaver could annihilate them better below the sea.

Enzo quickly moved. As the solid ice platform broke into pieces, he immediately cast his Permafrost Field, releasing an extreme ice mana in a second, stopping the solid ice platforms from completely breaking apart.

Aside from the hole where the Frostscale Reaver appeared, the solid ice platform settled down.

They gazed at the Frostscale Reaver.

Standing roughly two meters tall, the Frostscale Reavers resembled a horrifying fusion between a wolf and a marine reptile.

Its muscular bodies was covered with overlapping pale-blue scales reinforced by layers of naturally formed ice.

Sharp dorsal fins extended from its backs, allowing it to swim rapidly beneath frozen water before bursting through the ice without warning, taking Enzo and others by surprised.

Its forelimbs possessed long hooked claws capable of gripping both slippery ice and vertical cliffs.

A row of glowing azure eyes lines each side of its elongated skull, granting exceptional vision even during blizzards.

The Frostscale Reaver, after learning that its surprise attacks failed because of a certain mage, fell enraged.

Frost vapor escape from its mouths as surrounding temperatures noticeably drop.

At the same time, Khaled, their Vanguard, raise pointed his halberd and said in a solemn voice, "There are three more circling below us."

Enzo corrected him. "They hunt in packs. We should expect ten.

And then ten more in ten minutes, and then more..."

He did not continue, as he raised his hand and cast an Ice Lance.

The Ice Lance was at the Expert’s proficiency, causing it to manifest faster than before.

Bolting towards the Frostscale Reaver at an extreme speed, the Frostscale Reaver was surprised that it couldn’t react to the Ice Lance.

The Ice Lance pierced through its head, instantly ending its life.

Enzo’s party members couldn’t feel the time to be astonished after a resounding roar echoed beneath the frozen surface they were standing upon.

Afterwards, one at a time, Frostscale Reaver burst through the frozen ground, shaking the very platform they stood upon.

A great battle ensued...

...

Other players has also began shining in their respective villages.

In the Stoneford Village located in the Western Province, Aaron were making names for himself.

Leading the other players in the Berserker Class Sequence, he completed various mission from the village’s commander, earning prestige and bountiful rewards.

The Stoneford Village in the Ironmarch Province was the destination that the game suggested for Aaron after detecting his Vikings’ bloodline.

Ironmarch was after all where the Berserker Class Sequence were originated.

The Berserker Class sequence followed the path that an Imperial Swordsman could follow—Berserker → Gladiator → Blood Tyrant → War Lord → Calamity Warlord.

Unlike the other villages, the Stoneford Village suffered the most against the demon and monsters’ invasion.

With the province, pursuing the value of relentless offense and the ability to dominate chaotic battlefields, Berserker Class was born.

With the appearance of Aaron, the Berserker Class, known to have a poor impression because of its difficulty to maintain their sanity in combat, became popular to the NPCs and to the players.

Aaron’s reputation in the village was no lesser than Max’s reputation to the Greyfen Village.

Players viewed him as one of the potential players to surpass the first player because of his current achievements.

While NPCs saw him as the next Calamity Warlord to be born in their province.

Aaron was not only popular in the game, but in the real world as well.

He was already an ambassador to one of the big gaming organization, bringing glory to his parents and to his nation.

At the moment, Apocalypse Online’s appearance were yet to explode globally.

It would take sometime for Apocalypse Online to swallow the whole world with its presence.

However, the future S-rank players had already played the game and began making names for themselves for their respective province.

At the same time, they received a piece of news—quite big that seemed to be brewing the possible emergence of the world event.

Every future S-rank players, including Enzo in this timeline because of his SS-Class legacy, were close to their village’s Commander.

Although it couldn’t be confirmed if Malveris would return by bringing other demon forces with him, this time was vastly different.

It was his third failure—a total failure and quite faster than that.

As far as they know, demons have less patience.

If they failed three times, they would go all out and finally disregard their pride and request for assistance in invading the Empire.

Although it remained speculations, the Imperial Army were investigating thoroughly and were preparing for war...

...

After a week, the Imperial Army finally lost sight of Malveris. He had completely disappeared.

A Shadow Sovereign, who was responsible for tracking and pursuing Malveris in the Abyss, the territory of the demon race, confirmed that Malveris had indeed disappeared into the Kingdom of Endless War.

Such information was immediately disseminated in every settlement.

They did not expect that Malveris, who was known to be a rogue demon, belonged to the Kingdom of Endless War.

The Kingdom of Endless War was the largest military power in the Abyss.

It was ruled by a Demon Sovereign of Endless War.

The Demon Sovereign of Endless War believed that strength, discipline, and organized warfare were the natural laws of existence.

Thus, the Kingdom of Endless War were the always who instigated war against other demon kingdoms.

Demon Sovereign of Endless War and his citizens also believed that once they united the Abyss, they could then conquer the Primordial Realm.

Now that it was confirmed that Malveris disappeared into the Kingdom of Endless War and appeared to be their citizen, the Empire grew tense.

The Imperial Family immediately invested to the settlements in the frontier by providing resources to maintain their communication with other settlements.

A war against a demon was expected to break out!
