Chapter 722 - 716: The Buddha’s Cage Plan

Wa Huang looked at Buddha, inquiring, "Aren’t you adept at divination?"

"Determine their locations and send disciples to eliminate them."

Upon hearing this, a bitter smile appeared on Buddha’s face. "This Second Elder of the Void Race is much harder to deal with than the Grand Elder!"

"He has divided the Void Race into countless small teams."

"The divination method is no longer feasible, unless it’s done thousands or tens of thousands of times."

Buddha’s words clarified the situation for Wa Huang.

The members of the Void Race have grown wise!

Previously, the Void Race, although known as the nomadic tribe of the void,

actually took the wrong path.

When the entire tribe migrated and wandered in the void, they could evade the encirclement by Wa Huang, Demon Lord, and Buddha.

However, migrating as a whole made them an obvious target.

If Wa Huang, Demon Lord, and Buddha were determined to find them, they could still be found.

The vast void is boundless.

The Void Race has now dispersed, engaging in guerrilla warfare with Demon Lord, Buddha, and Wa Huang, proving to be the right strategy.

Previously, locating the Void Race was accomplished by Buddha’s predictions and divination.

Buddha claimed to know five hundred years ahead and behind, and his divination method was extremely potent.

Now, however, Buddha finds it difficult to employ divination.

Divination is a revelation of celestial secrets and requires a price to be paid.

Previously, when the entire Void Race migrated as one, Buddha needed only a single divination to pinpoint their location.

Then, disciples were dispatched to encircle the Void Race.

But now, the Void Race has split into thousands, even tens of thousands of small teams.

How is Buddha supposed to divine?

Could it be he must divine thousands, tens of thousands of times to locate each small team of the Void Race?

Putting aside whether Buddha is willing to pay the price for thousands or tens of thousands of divinations,

even if he would, he’d be divining till the cows come home.

The method of divination is no longer viable.

Thus, other strategies must be devised.

However, coming up with a plan on the spot is not straightforward.

After reflecting for a long time, Buddha said to Wa Huang, "I do have a clumsy method, but I’m not sure if it’s feasible."

A clumsy method?

Wa Huang was intrigued to hear what method could be deemed clumsy by Buddha.

"Speak, let’s hear it!" Wa Huang inquired.

Buddha waved his hand, and a Void Map appeared before them, showing small points illuminated in white.

These points are not stars.

The void is barren, devoid of stars.

These points are void ruins.

The main battlegrounds during the encirclement of the Void Race by Wa Huang, Buddha, and Demon Lord.

The Void Race cannot endlessly wander in the void; they must seek void ruins to replenish energy before their internal reserves deplete.

To put it simply, these void ruins are like waystations in the void.

As for the origin of these void ruins...

This relates to ancient secrets.

Once, the void was exceedingly glorious, comprising many Primordial Spirits far beyond Wa Huang, Demon Lord, Buddha, and Daoist Ancestor.

Numerous Primordial Spirits existed within the void then.

These void ruins were the domains of those Primordial Spirits.

With the disappearance of those Primordial Spirits, their domains fell into neglect and disrepair, naturally becoming dilapidated.

Gradually, these domains became known as void ruins.

As the Void Map appeared, Buddha asked Wa Huang, "Do you see these void ruins?"

"The key to eradicating the Void Race lies in these void ruins."

"The members of the Void Race have varying strengths, but regardless of their power, they must periodically visit void ruins for rest and replenishment."

"Currently, our disciples are merely circling around the Void Race, trapped in their pace, resulting in inefficient efforts."

"I propose a change in strategy; instead of scouring the void for the Void Race, why not exert a waiting strategy?"

Upon hearing Buddha’s plan, Wa Huang pondered deeply.

With furrowed brows, she hesitantly asked, "A waiting strategy?"

"It might not be that easy; there are quite a few ruins, certainly two to three thousand of them."

"Even if all the disciples from the three factions are deployed, only a handful could be stationed at each ruin."

"How could these few individuals maintain guard over the ruins? In the end, the ruins may be lost, and our disciples sacrificed."

Wa Huang made valid points, as their disciples held individual strengths.

Especially after receiving various Magical Treasures from Wa Huang, Demon Lord, and Buddha, disciples armed with these artifacts could easily eliminate the elite of the Void Race.

However, numerically, their disciples lagged behind the Void Race.

If they indeed proceeded with Buddha’s plan, stationing guards at each ruin, with a waiting strategy,

those without their Magical Treasures might fail to guard the ruins and instead perish by the Void Race’s hands.

To Wa Huang, Buddha’s strategy seemed a foolish blunder!

Yet, Buddha, being exceedingly wise, couldn’t possibly employ such a blunder.

Buddha smiled slightly and said to Wa Huang, "Each void ruin requires not several individuals, but merely one minor disciple to monitor it."

"Apart from the disciple monitoring the ruin, elite disciples like Peacock Great Ming King and Nato will form an action team."

"Once the monitoring disciple detects the Void Race, elite disciples with our Magical Treasures will be transported to the target ruin to annihilate the Void Race."

After Buddha unveiled his entire plan, Wa Huang couldn’t help but nod repeatedly.

With this plan, it’s entirely feasible.

They lack no transmission Magical Treasures.

What they need are the coordinates of the Void Race.

Upon obtaining the coordinates, using transmission Magical Treasures, they’ll arrive instantaneously.

Furthermore, dispatching an insignificant disciple to monitor a ruin, even if slain by the Void Race, is inconsequential to them.

"This plan is viable!" Wa Huang nodded in agreement.

By all accounts, Buddha’s new plan,

surpasses aimless efforts while being led in circles by the Void Race.

"By using void ruins as points and action teams as chains, connecting the ruins, effectively sealing off the Void Race’s activity space."

"In my opinion, this plan should be named the Enclosure Strategy!"

"This time, we are destined to obliterate the Void Race." Buddha expressed with confidence.
