The huge white moth flapped its wings rapidly at them from a distance, and a cloud of white particles came out from under its wings.

Soon, the cloud of smoke filled up the surroundings where Alex and the others were.

The cloud of smoke drifted rapidly towards Alex and the others.

Everything that the white particles touch along the way became covered in a layer of plaster immediately.

Alex quickly used his ability and a slit appeared in front of him.

It opened up into a storage portal and the white particles that were coming at him and his friends were absorbed into it.

But it wasn’t the only thing that he did.

Another slit appeared at the top of the moth at the same time.

After it opened up into a portal, crackling sounds could be heard and a bright flash lit up the surroundings when the lightning strike came from within.

Bam!

The lightning strike descended down at the huge moth but it miraculously missed.

It hit onto the plaster figures that were seated in the lecture hall seats instead.

The plaster figures were blown into pieces and the white plaster was smudged by the blood and flesh that was within the plaster figures.

In an instant, the huge moth had dissipated right before the lightning strike could hit onto its head.

Alex frowned and he glanced at the surroundings, trying to see where the huge moth was.

It was most likely another Stage III mutated beast with the ability to turn things into plaster and make itself invisible.

This wasn’t going to be easy, he thought.

If the huge moth appeared next to him suddenly and unleashed its white particle at him, he would be turned into a plaster figure like the poor unfortunate students in the lecture hall.

He will have to bet on the fact that the ability for the huge moth to stay invisible, will have its limits, and it can only use it for a short period and only a few times.

Alex knew that he had to come up with a strategy and make use of his and his friends’ abilities against the huge moth.

He pondered for a moment and said, "Riley, use your bubbles to fill up our surroundings."

Riley did so and many bubbles appeared in their surroundings floating in the air protecting them from the huge moth.

All of them got ready to unleash their abilities when the huge moth appeared again.

It didn’t take too long for it to happen.

"Over there!"

When the huge moth appeared, it was trying to come from the side of Alex but it got hit by one of the bubbles.

Boom!

The explosion took off a portion of its wings and it struggled to stay in the air.

Alex used his ability and a portal opened up right on top of its head but before he could unleash another lightning strike at it, the huge moth disappeared once again.

He frowned and he decided to increase the intensity of the bubbles.

A storage portal appeared as far as it could on the other end of the lecture hall, and more bubbles flew out from it.

The bubbles came in the other direction closing in from the other end, and there was less and less space available for the huge moth.

It worked.

The huge moth appeared in the middle of the lecture hall.

Alex aimed at it with his hands and a crackling sound could be heard as sparks of lightning appeared.

Bam!

The lightning strikes shot out at it and the huge moth disappeared in the next moment.

But after it was gone, the bubbles from the other end had closed in and there wasn’t any open space anymore.

Then, the bubbles that were near where the huge moth disappeared exploded.

The huge moth appeared again.

Fortunately, even though it was invisible, it could still be hurt if it was caught by the bubbles.

Splatter.

Terry hurled a metallic block down onto the body of the huge moth and it crushed the heads that were on the huge moth’s back into pieces.

When the heads were destroyed, the lecture hall was filled with all sorts of sounds.

There were screams in fear, crying with helplessness, and the anger with rage from not being able to fight back.

"Argh!" The sounds gave Alex and the others a terrible headache and they gritted their teeth.

Brian and Terry dropped to their knees and held their hands on the side of their heads to try and alleviate the pain.

But it was to no avail for them.

Riley was still standing but he could only barely maintain his posture.

Alex knew he had to finish the huge moth off quickly and he mustered whatever he could and unleashed it at the huge moth.

Three portals opened up and a torrent of lightning strikes came out from the portals at the same time.

Splatter.

Finally, the lightning strikes hit onto the huge moth and the firepower from them was enough to blow the huge moth into smithereens.

There was barely anything left of it except for the scattered pieces of its body.

Alex gave out a sigh of relief and he checked on his friends.

Thankfully, with the huge moth gone, their splitting headaches had also lifted.

They also gave out a sigh of relief at him.

A familiar sound erupted in Alex’s mind and information panels with words appeared in it.

[Congratulations to Host for killing off 1 enemy.]

[Day 1 of 1 for SSS Level Lightning Wielder.]

"I guess they will stay like this forever?" Brian got up close to one of the plaster figures and said.

"Most likely." Alex replied and gave out a sigh.

Killing the huge moth wasn’t able to bring them back to how they were.

It was a stark reminder of how difficult it was to survive in the apocalypse to him.

However, he didn’t dwell on this for too long.

There was still work to be done.

Alex glanced at his friends and said, "Come, let’s finish up before we leave."
