Soon, after crossing several peaks hundreds of meters high, Ling Yi confirmed it: the Yunxia Ridge Mother Empress was right inside the Shelter the scout team leader had mentioned.

However, the Shelter itself was a hundred meters deep at the base of the mountain, and the Mother Empress was located another three hundred meters below that.

’It seems the harsh environment and hard geology of the North force even the Mother Empress’s Underground Nest to be deeper than the ones in the South.’

On their way back, Lin Feng and Ling Yi finalized their deployment strategy.

Thanks to the Shelter, the Warriors defending the entrance could use its narrow access tunnel to create a bottleneck, holding off any reinforcing Zerg Swarms.

This would free up more troops to guard the other Wormholes inside the Shelter.
