Chapter 328: Chapter 328: Little Black Room

With good aim, couldn’t you get one kill per shot? You could take out fifty people a day! And you’d never have to reload!

It was the first time she had ever seen such a handgun. Sue Sutton examined it from every angle. ’A gun this exquisite, no bigger than my palm, actually has infinite ammo?’

It seemed the online rumors were true: you really could get anything and everything at Boss Hart’s lottery shop.

Sue Sutton stored the handgun in her personal dimension, planning to test it out back at the base.

She’d gotten a free meal, settled the supply procurement, taken care of half the bandits, and even won the grand prize. Sue Sutton was thoroughly satisfied.

After saying goodbye to Lily Hart and Cynthia Whittaker, Sue Sutton left the motorhome.

Cynthia Whittaker let out a soft huff, pointedly avoiding watching her leave. Only when Sue was far from the motorhome did she sneak a glance, quickly snatching her eyes away.

"What are you looking at?" Lily Hart sat down beside her, her curiosity piqued.

Cynthia Whittaker snapped back to reality, startled. "Nothing! Just checking on the customers outside... seeing if anyone wants to go to the hot pot restaurant..."

The more she spoke, the less convincing she sounded...

Lily Hart smiled. She saw right through it but decided not to press the issue. ’I’ll find out eventually,’ she thought.

’I was going to go out and see how the common folk are doing today,’ she thought, ’but my plans got derailed. Might as well just be a couch potato.’

By evening, still no one had won the first prize. ’Maybe the time just isn’t right,’ Lily Hart mused. ’Or maybe there’s no one at Solara Base who can win it?’

Just as they were all eating dinner, another commotion erupted outside.

Lily Hart guessed it was the rest of the bandits coming for trouble. ’Don’t they have Light Brains? Can’t they go online? Don’t they know how much the internet hypes me up?’

To think they still dared to cause trouble. Lily Hart felt exasperated.

’I don’t like killing, and I’m not bloodthirsty,’ she thought. ’I just want to sell my lottery tickets in peace, but people keep showing up to cause problems.’

’I can’t stand it!’

Lily Hart shot to her feet, strode to the window, and peered outside.

They were dressed exactly like the group from the afternoon—bare-armed in the dead of winter, wearing tank tops, with their hair spiked up. ’Do they think they’re so tough?’

"[System, blacklist them immediately.]" Lily Hart crossed her arms, annoyed that her dinner had been interrupted. She was still chewing on a piece of meat.

After swallowing, she added, "[Yeah, kick them out. Lock them in the ’little black room’ and send a message to Sue Sutton to handle them.]"

The so-called "little black room" was a sealed, transparent space within the motorhome’s safety perimeter. People outside couldn’t get in, and those inside couldn’t get out.

But everyone could see in and out.

"[No problem,]" the System replied.

The more the System upgraded, the more permissions it gained, but it still required the host’s approval for everything.

The System then locked onto the group, gathered them all together, and imprisoned them in the transparent "little black room" right in front of the motorhome for all passersby to see.

They looked completely bewildered. How had they all suddenly been surrounded by their own guys in the blink of an eye?

The bandit leader was among them. His face darkened as he snarled, "What’s going on?" He scanned their surroundings; dozens of his men had been abruptly thrown together.

It was as if a giant hand had shoved them all into a pile. He tried to step away, but an invisible barrier blocked his path. He tried another direction, but it was the same—he couldn’t step out or go around it.

They were trapped as if by a line drawn on the ground.

They’d been shoved into the Monk’s circle and couldn’t get out no matter what.

’Whose superpower is this?’ he wondered. He’d never heard of anything like it.

One of his underlings behind him said anxiously, "What do we do, Boss? Look at all these people, they’re laughing at us! Just wait ’til we get out! We’ll beat ’em to death!"

The leader snapped impatiently, "Shut up!"

He tried to summon his superpower, cautiously testing the invisible "wall" with an attack, but it was deflected right back at him. He didn’t dare make any sudden moves.

He also warned his men to be careful and not to touch the wall.

After kicking them into the "little black room" and messaging Sue Sutton, Lily Hart sat back down to finish her dinner.

Little did she know, a huge stir was brewing outside.

Customers gathered around, recognizing the men as the very bandits who had burned, pillaged, and murdered the base’s residents—committing every evil deed imaginable.

Stealing supplies was the least of their crimes.

The customers were still on edge, afraid the bandits were about to do something.

"It’s them! They’re back!"

"Run!"

"Didn’t a group of them just come this afternoon?!"

"Wait, don’t panic! I don’t think they can get out."

"They can’t get out?"

At these words, everyone stopped in their tracks. They turned to look and realized it was true.

The bandits just stood there, glaring at the customers with fierce, savage eyes.

But they didn’t take a single step forward. The dozens of them were crammed together, back-to-back and chest-to-chest.

It looked incredibly cramped.

"So they really can’t get out?" one man said, then stuck his foot out and kicked one of the men inside.

The kick actually landed. The bandit inside tried to grab his foot, but the space was so tight that when he bent over, his butt nearly knocked over a pile of his comrades.

"Can they hear us talking?"

A man inside the circle roared, "We can hear you!"

The customer outside jumped back a step, muttering, "Wow, they really can hear."

They started discussing in hushed tones, "Hey, if they can’t get out, does that mean we can... beat them! Hit them! Kill them!"

Their excitement grew with every word.

Just as their discussion grew heated and they were about to take action, Sue Sutton arrived with The Guardian Corps.

Sue Sutton’s voice was sharp. "Everyone, be careful! Clear a path!"

The customers hastily parted, allowing Sue Sutton and The Guardian Corps to pass through.

Sue Sutton’s gaze locked with the bandit leader’s. She sneered. "To think I’d see you like this."

The leader sneered back. "Base Commander Sutton, I suggest you get rid of this cage. Don’t be a fool who doesn’t know what’s good for them."

"In your dreams," Sue Sutton said.

She ordered The Guardian Corps to try and drag one of them out. To her surprise, it actually worked.

Once he was pulled out, the man glared at her defiantly. Sue Sutton recognized him. He had raped one of her female assistants...

Thankfully, the assistant was resilient and had managed to pull through, but Sue had always wanted to get revenge for her...

The man was pinned down by several members of The Guardian Corps, unable to move a muscle.

But his mouth was still free, and he kept shouting, "Kill me if you have the guts! My boss is watching right—AAAAH—"

Sue Sutton strode forward and stomped down hard on his groin. A sickening CRACK echoed, followed by a scream of agony.

The man’s face turned crimson, his features contorted in agony. Veins bulged on his forehead. He felt it... he was ruined...

"Break his arms and legs, then go feed him to the zombies," Sue Sutton said emotionlessly.

"Yes, ma’am!" The Guardian Corps responded in a loud, clear voice.

Sue Sutton remembered every single man in that cage. She remembered every evil thing they had done to the residents of her base.

Just thinking about it made it impossible to suppress the rage boiling inside her.

...

Back in the motorhome, Lily Hart and the others had finished dinner and were now all leaning over the table to watch the show. Looking down the line, all you could see was a row of butts sticking in the air.

Firm and perky.

Cynthia Whittaker muttered under her breath, "That woman... still so ruthless after all this time. But those guys deserved it! Every last one of them is a son of a bitch!"

Lily Hart scooted a little closer to her. "What are you muttering about?"
