Without even needing to use their Superpowers, the two of them made short work of the zombies using only their physical prowess and skill. Treading through the bloody water covering the ground, they hurried to the wrecked assault vehicle.

Lin Fan’s voice trailed off in hesitation, but Ye Qingniao, as if sensing the worry in his tone, immediately understood and finished his thought.

"It’s not one of ours. I don’t recognize the plate."

"That’s good."

All these vehicles looked the same to Lin Fan; he was just worried that Su Qing’s group had run into trouble passing through here.

Not that they were supposed to pass through here, but you never know.

Reassured by her answer, Lin Fan let out a sigh of relief.

"Then it must be that other squad."

A soldier’s combat uniform was easy to spot. They searched through the bodies on the ground and found only one in a military uniform. He was lying facedown in the muddy water, the back of his skull completely shattered by a blunt instrument.

Lin Fan frowned. He wasn’t familiar with military customs, so he turned to ask Ye Qingniao.

"Probably not. If it were his teammates..."

As she spoke, Ye Qingniao demonstrated by ripping a Velcro-backed nylon pouch from her own tactical vest with a loud R-R-RIP, then slapping it back into place.

"You can just take the pouches like this. There’s no need to remove the whole vest. Stripping a tactical vest off a body is a real pain..."

She then glanced at the body sprawled on the ground.
