After a moment of silence in the chat, their attitudes did a complete one-eighty.

They seemed to have selective amnesia, forgetting how aggressive they’d been, and began sweet-talking her—even though they knew Perry Yates couldn’t see it.

It was a transparent attempt to cover their tracks.

Perry Yates’s mood improved considerably as she read their messages.

As the saying goes, when you’re in a good mood, your luck improves along with it.

For a while after that, it was like Perry Yates had become a treasure box magnet; she found one almost every few feet.

’The spawn rate for these treasure boxes is insane. I wonder if it’s the same for everyone else.’

Perry Yates pursed her lips at the white treasure box in her hands. White treasure boxes only contained winter clothing, which was completely useless to her. Her only option was to list it in the trade section for other resources.

Just then, Perry Yates saw a plea for help in the chat channel.

[777: Will pay a high price for a sanitary pad!]

Seeing this, Perry Yates paused. She recalled the misery of her own past menstrual cramps, though the problem had vanished after she became a player.

She took the various types of sanitary pads she had stockpiled in her inventory and listed them in the trade section.

Because Perry Yates had been an active seller recently, people noticed the pads the moment she posted them.

[Haha: Girl, someone’s selling pads in the trade section! Go grab them, quick!]

Perry Yates didn’t have many pads to begin with, and they were all snapped up in the blink of an eye.

「Day eight of the game.」

The snow was even heavier than the day before. Overnight, the drifts had piled up to more than half the height of her car.

In these conditions, the car was completely undrivable.

She opened the chat channel, and sure enough, quite a few people were trapped in their vehicles.

[LifeIsADrama: What do I do? My car is stuck.]

[Garfield: My car’s stuck too. The snow is already over my tires. I can only wait here.]

[MyCuteCar: I’m so hungry. Does anyone have any food?]

...

’Since no one else can move, I guess I’m not going anywhere either.’

With that, Perry Yates decisively returned to her car. She reclined the seat, pulled a thick blanket over herself, and prepared to go back to sleep.

Her mission was just to survive, after all. Surviving here was no different from surviving anywhere else.

Perhaps fate itself couldn’t stand seeing Perry Yates so relaxed, because not long after she fell asleep, a commotion outside startled her awake.

She sat up and peered through the window. Whoa, that was a huge Green-Fur Gorilla.

The Green-Fur Gorilla was currently sprawled outside her Flame Barrier with a look of pure bliss on its face, sleeping soundly.

Seeing this, Perry Yates guessed the warmth radiating from the Flame Barrier must have attracted it.

Staring at the gorilla’s solid muscles, Perry Yates figured its defense must be high. On top of that, the current weather placed severe restrictions on plants.

’Right,’ she thought, ’this is the perfect chance to test that card.’

Apex Explosion allowed her to mentally transport a created bomb to any location she could perceive—be it a place in her line of sight, a phantom image, a live feed, or even just a photograph.

A bomb quickly materialized in Perry Yates’s hand. She looked at the sleeping Green-Fur Gorilla, contemplating where to place the bomb for a one-hit kill.

After a moment’s hesitation, she settled on two locations. The first was the abdomen—as is common knowledge, the bellies of mammals are quite soft.

The second was the eyes.

The eyes were close to the brain, and without them, the Green-Fur Gorilla wouldn’t be able to pinpoint her location.

’Which one should I choose?’

After a brief hesitation, Perry Yates decided to just go for broke and bomb them all. ’Only children make choices,’ she thought. ’Adults, of course, take everything.’

Having made her decision, Perry Yates created two more bombs: one for the abdomen and one for each eye.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Three violent explosions rang out, and blood splattered everywhere. The intense pain ripped an agonized roar from the Green-Fur Gorilla.

Blinded, the Green-Fur Gorilla could only flail its arms wildly, attempting to strike any enemies nearby.

Seeing this, Perry Yates didn’t hesitate. She conjured another bomb and detonated it in the Green-Fur Gorilla’s existing wounds.

A dozen more explosions followed in quick succession. With a final, agonized cry, the Green-Fur Gorilla collapsed, its breathing ceased. The surrounding snow was already stained red with its blood.

The Green-Fur Gorilla looked for all the world as if it were dead.

Perry Yates created a Clone to go outside and check the situation.

The moment the Clone stepped outside, a bone-chilling wind assaulted it. Even wearing a four-star piece of gear, it could still feel the biting cold.

The Clone instinctively tightened its clothes and walked step by step toward the Green-Fur Gorilla.

Just as it reached the gorilla’s side and prepared to inspect it, the previously motionless creature suddenly stirred. Its eyes, now just bloody sockets, were a horrifying sight.

The earlier explosions had blown off half of the Green-Fur Gorilla’s skull, leaving its glistening, pale brain matter exposed.

For some reason, despite the Green-Fur Gorilla having no eyes, her intuition told her it knew exactly where the Clone was.

Sure enough, the next second, a massive hand swatted down on the Clone with lightning speed, giving it no chance to react.

The Clone was flattened, disappearing in an instant.

Watching from the car, the real Perry Yates couldn’t help but sigh in relief. ’Thank goodness I’m so cautious,’ she thought. (In reality, she was just too lazy to get out of the car herself.)

That must have been the Green-Fur Gorilla’s final, desperate attack. After delivering the blow, it went completely still, its life finally extinguished.

After the Green-Fur Gorilla truly died, its body dissolved into motes of light, leaving behind a green treasure box with a metallic sheen.

She retrieved the treasure box and opened it.

Two items appeared before Perry Yates.

Both were blueprints.

One was for a Safe Base.

Using it would allow her to construct a safe base that not only provided her with security but could also shelter other players.

’It seems like I can use this blueprint in other dungeons,’ Perry Yates muttered to herself.

The dungeons she referred to were the ones she had brought into existence through her Concrete ability. This blueprint could provide a safe haven for the people inside those worlds. The longer ordinary people could survive in them, the more income she would earn.

’With this safe base, I can finally make the other dungeons Concrete.’

’I just wonder if I can take these blueprints out of this dungeon,’ she mused. ’I probably can, right?’
