Apocalypse Beast Supplier: Only I Sell God-Tier Beasts
Chapter 152: Report
Usually, when something bad happened, the first thing anyone would do was report it straight to the authorities.
Filmos walked until he found himself standing just a short distance away from the city’s main police station.
He stared up at the massive steel establishment. The heavy, authoritative aura emanating from the building made him pause, forcing him to rethink his entire decision.
He truly wanted to report what was happening to the police. But as he recalled everything he had done, even if it was mostly out of self-defense, he was no longer sure if he wouldn’t just be dragged into jail himself.
He was part of the crime scene, for sure. Even if he was technically the victim, he had summoned his beast to harm people and used it to attack people, which was strictly illegal under city public safety laws.
He let out a heavy sigh. After a few seconds of tense consideration, he turned his back on the station.
’I can’t report this, or else I’ll just get arrested too,’ Filmos reasoned internally, his fists clenching at his sides. ’How am I supposed to find my parents if I’m sitting behind bars?’
Having made up his mind, he turned and left the area. He wove his way through a maze of cold, metallic buildings until he finally ended up in a secluded sector he wasn’t familiar with.
At the very least, he was far away from the police station now.
...
Meanwhile, high up inside the police station, the three officers who had initially responded to the crime scene at Filmos’s house were gathering in their squad room.
Inside the bustling office, the squad was managing multiple active cases at once. However, the one case plastered prominently in the middle of their main digital bulletin board was Filmos’s incident.
It wasn’t highlighted because of a tamer illegally using a beast in public. It was flagged as high-priority because of its connection to the Anti-Nustra Legion.
The Anti-Nustra Legion was a notorious terrorist organization and criminal syndicate entirely focused on destabilizing major cities. The authorities couldn’t afford to be complacent when two known members turned up dead inside a ragged slum house.
Because of the threat level, multiple squads and specialized departments were keeping a close eye on any potential follow-up attacks by the organization.
"Sir, I have a new lead report," the junior officer announced, stepping up to her superior’s desk. "Someone was just found dead in the central business district. It’s the exact same attack pattern. Sprayed with an unknown toxic liquid, chemically burned gear, and dead from severe internal toxicity. I think this is directly connected to our case."
The senior officer looked over the digital report chart for a few silent seconds before speaking.
"What do you make of this one? You think we’re dealing with a serial attacker?"
"Sir?" the junior officer blinked, startled by the suggestion.
"With this pattern forming, I’m starting to think this person might be actively hunting down Anti-Nustra Legion members," the senior officer explained, tapping his chin. "Do we have the victim’s background info yet?"
The junior officer quickly transferred another file through the holographic interface, sliding the screen across to her superior’s device.
Reading through the details, the senior officer’s brows furrowed in deep confusion.
"This seems odd. A normal businessman? Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, sir. The team on site conducted a thorough background check," the junior officer replied firmly. "There’s nothing suspicious about the victim. They even investigated whether he was a covert Anti-Nustra operative, but his record is completely clean."
"Hmm... Then it’s our job to track down this suspect before another body drops. Pull up Filmos Lurdous’s profile again. Include the recent updates from the Contribution Agency."
"Noted, sir."
A few moments later, the senior officer began scanning through Filmos’s official profile.
On paper, he looked just like any other ordinary young man. He had recently awakened as a tamer, registered his new beast with the Contribution Agency, and cleared a basic C-Rank dungeon rift. No parents listed on active files.
There were no obvious loopholes or suspicious flags in his background. He was almost too average.
However, the officer’s eyes suddenly locked onto one specific detail in the report.
’He owns a Green Anaconda?’ the senior officer questioned in his head, trying to connect the dots.
’Green Anacondas are standard tropical snake beasts. They aren’t venomous... So I guess my theory about him being the primary killer is wrong.’
The officer kept scrolling down the file. But what stopped him and made him re-evaluate everything was a small note at the bottom: Filmos had officially failed his initial awakening ceremony.
That single detail was a huge red flag. It meant there was a possibility he had received his beast apart from the official Contribution Agency channels.
"Hey," the officer called out, leaning forward. "Load up this Lurdous kid’s travel logs over the past few days."
Another holographic interface popped up on his screen. The senior officer dragged his fingers across the map to zoom in on Filmos’s movement history, checking the specific locations the boy had visited.
Just as he hoped, he found the missing piece of the puzzle.
"This kid traveled out to Suran City! He didn’t commission a tamer guild—he bought a beast directly from that notorious shop!"
The tracking log stopped at his entry into Suran City. But the travel history alone revealed far too much about his recent actions.
"This is it!" the senior officer declared, slamming his hand down on the desk. "That kid is now our prime suspect. He got his snake beast from Suran City—most likely from that notorious shop that sells abnormal creatures. His Green Anaconda definitely isn’t normal. It’s either a rare mutant or a unique variant capable of spraying high-grade toxic venom!"
The senior officer immediately issued fresh orders to his entire squad, updating the parameters of their investigation.
Within minutes, Filmos Lurdous’s name was elevated on the city’s wanted list—no longer viewed as an innocent victim caught in the crossfire, but as the prime suspect in a string of brutal chemical homicides, including the one in the business district.
