Chapter 1647: Part 4: Half-Step Red Mark Warrior

Back in the residence, I entered the practice room once again. My worries about the battlefield lessened. I was sure that the warriors were doing better inside the battlefield.

I should not cause any hindrance to them. My presence before them could unsettle them. Just as the council had wished, I was going to become a Half-Step Red Mark Warrior.

Already, half the job was done. I needed to focus for a day or two. I would enter the Half-Step Red Mark in the Shock Force Method at any moment.

Time passed.

I gained new inspiration connected to the Shock Force Method. I could feel the improvement in the shock force film.

I didn’t get distracted and continued to focus on understanding each mystery.

On the other hand, the ancient spirit had been paying attention. It was truly shocking.

It had thought that the young man needed a place to vent his frustration, just as he had previously done inside the puppet hall. It had thought the same would happen this time, but it didn’t.

The ancient spirit figured out the reason as well: the battlefield had returned to normal.

The elite creatures didn’t seem to have appeared inside the secret land battlefield.

It thought that the current situation might have calmed Zack Lockwood’s restless heart, allowing him to gain inspiration faster.

The ancient spirit knew that the young man had already entered the Half-Step Red Mark Rank in the Blood Energy Force, the Purple Lightning Force, and the Bloodline Force.

And it predicted it would be a matter of hours before his Shock Force power entered the Half-Step Red Mark Rank as well.

A few hours later,

The secret battlefields opened their barriers. All ten space cracks appeared under the sea. The Red Mark Warriors exited from the space cracks in large numbers.

Next, they came to the shore with excitement and thundering cheers. The warriors had fought till the end. They had significantly reduced the number of foreign creatures.

Finally, the time limit was reached. Both sides were forced out of the secret lands. Although there were casualties on both sides, neither side got the upper hand. So, for the human side, it was already considered a victory.

Most of the Red Mark Warriors had participated for the first time. They were from the Tier-5 and Tier-4 regions, so they had performed remarkably well.

The media houses began to cover the news right away. It was the good news everyone had been waiting to hear.

Seeing the large number of warriors returning to the seashore, the news reporters were thrilled. They reported the news live, which was watched by people in the administration office, the medical center, and various shops.

Even the council elders were watching the broadcast. The news brought everyone a sigh of relief.

The news reporters on the ground started conducting interviews. The Red Mark Warriors talked about the weird-shaped creatures, but none of them were elite creatures.

The same was said by the warriors coming out of the other secret land battlefields. The council elders confirmed that the foreign creature powerhouses had given up in the end.

On this joyous occasion, everyone forgot about Zack Lockwood, who was busy practicing inside the essence chamber.

Council Hall

The mood of the council elders was joyful. Finally, the one-sided slaughter had stopped, and the battlefield had returned to normal.

Hereafter, they could train the Red Mark Warriors to become stronger so that they would be capable enough to fight against the elite creatures one day.

Then, they could be recommended to enter the main post. The council elders were happily chatting about it.

Among them, Council Elder Rowena was present as well. She was thinking about someone else-none other than Zack Lockwood.

These people were celebrating a temporary victory, but the foreign creature high command seemed to have achieved the actual victory.

If Zack Lockwood had been allowed to participate, he would have killed all the other elite creatures alone. They could have forced the foreign creatures to stop sending elite creatures altogether.

But the Quasi-Gods didn’t want Zack Lockwood to be exposed; he was still a Purple Mark Warrior.

Elder Rowena thought the Quasi-Gods-especially Quasi-God Jane-would let Zack Lockwood fight once he entered the main post.

A female elder noticed Rowena was lost deep in thought.

"What happened?" she asked.

Hearing that, Elder Rowena recovered her composure and said nothing. She knew that Zack Lockwood’s name could spoil their mood.

The following morning, the Shock Force rune entered the Half-Step Red Mark stage.

The Shock Force rune had deepened, becoming similar to the Blood Force ring-type rune, the Purple Lightning bolt rune, and the Bloodline water-drop rune.

I didn’t leave the essence chamber right away. The Shock Force advancement had brought a transformation to my body.

The energy in the chamber was entering my body in large quantities. I could feel the amount of special energy increasing until it became equal to the world energy.

The power of the Shock Force inheritance inside the dantian had increased as well.

Next, I spent time stabilizing my new strength. I exited the essence chamber later that evening.

After coming out, I went to the bathroom to take a shower. The shower lasted for 20 minutes. Then I stepped out and put on comfortable clothes.

I walked over to the sofa and sat down. Next, I focused on the different runes in my mind. The four runes had become denser and more mysterious.

My gaze then fell upon the dull-looking golden shield rune in my mind. It was the Guardian God’s rune.

The ancient spirit had said that the power of the sealing force was far more terrifying than the other inheritance forces in the later stages.

On the other hand, the ancient spirit saw that Zack Lockwood was looking at the sealing force rune-the inheritance of the Guardian God.

"At last, you are going to practice the sealing method," the ancient spirit said.

"Yes," I replied. I was looking forward to the result even more.
