Inside the essence chamber, I was busy practicing the bloodline visualization. I forgot about the time. Just then, I heard the reminder of the ancient spirit’s voice.

"It’s time for you to take a break," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Next, I stopped practicing. Then I opened my eyes. I checked my veins and meridians. I found them under stress.

I thought of using an ancient, incomplete technique. But I changed my mind at the last moment. I stood up and went to the console.

I turned off the switch. The energy began to recede. It didn’t take long for all the energy to be gone. Then I exited the chamber.

I checked the time. It was closer to midnight.

I went to the bath to take a shower. I spent 20 minutes in the bath. After coming out, I put on comfortable clothes.

"It appears someone is standing outside your gate," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Hearing that, I was taken aback. Then I walked up to the door. Next, I opened the door and saw someone standing outside.

The person was none other than Senior Marie.

"Senior, what are you doing here?" I asked her.

Marie was angry. She had been waiting outside for some time.

She said, "Elder Rowena wanted me to check on you. I had been standing here for hours. I also sent you a message, but you didn’t reply."

Hearing that, I realized I had placed my device on the desk.

"I’m sorry. I was inside the essence chamber and my device was on the table outside," I said to her.

Marie didn’t want to stay here. She saw Zack Lockwood and found that Zack Lockwood was stronger than before.

She didn’t know how to pinpoint it, but she felt the sense of crisis had increased again.

"So, what’s happening with you?" she asked.

I understood that she came to know my progress. Then I invited her inside to brief her. But she refused and wanted to leave.

It was enough for her. Marie decided to leave. She thanked him before going away from the place.

When she was gone, I returned to the room and shut the door.

"She was pissed off," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

"Yeah, she had been waiting for hours," I replied.

Next, I went to the sofa and lay down. I picked up the device and began to check on the messages. I saw the messages sent by Senior Marie.

I read the message and understood that she had waited for quite a few hours. Then I closed the message and put the device back on the table.

Next, I slept on the sofa.

I woke up later and started following my daily schedule. After completing my morning routine, I entered the essence chamber.

As usual, I began practicing the bloodline visualization method. Right away, the bright blue water-drop rune became denser.

As time passed, the variant water force entered the body. There was a mix of special energy in the body.

I circulated the variant water force inside the body. After circulation, the variant force settled down inside the dantian.

I continued to repeat the process until I started getting inspiration. Then I spent time understanding the inspiration.

If Elder Francesca were here, she would have been surprised, because even she wouldn’t get inspiration this fast.

Elder Rowena called Marie again. Marie was supposed to give the report last night, but she hadn’t contacted her.

So she called her again today. Marie answered the call right away. Rowena then began to inquire.

Marie started to brief her on what Zack Lockwood had told her.

Knowing that Zack Lockwood was showing improvement, Rowena sighed in relief. She then thanked Marie for her work. After that, she ended the call and returned to her work.

An emergency meeting was convened. All the council elders had gathered here. They got the message from Quasi-God Jane and other Quasi-Gods.

Elder Rowena was at the meeting as well. Once everyone was gathered, the message of the Quasi-Gods was played.

[The Secret Land Battles will start soon. Prepare the warriors for the battles.]

A male Quasi-God said.

[Don’t let Zack Lockwood participate in the battle. Next, he will go to the main post.]

The voice of Quasi-God Jane sounded.

Next, a few other Quasi-Gods shared a few instructions before the message was cut off.

The council elders looked at each other. The message was short, but it was clear. They had had a few weeks of quiet time. Now, the battle was going to start again.

They had to make preparations. They were glad about the second message. They were worried that Zack Lockwood could be asked to enter the secret land battlefield again.

Elder Rowena sighed in relief as well. She was surprised that Quasi-God Jane herself said that Zack Lockwood would go to the main post.

Then they began to make plans for the preparations. They had no idea about the strength of the new warriors.

They had to get new reports. They instructed the administration staff to make new reports. Only then could they make decisions.

It didn’t take long for the message from the administration office to come. The message was sent to all the warriors in the United City.

They were instructed to fight in the puppet hall. The administration office needed their reports. The warriors too understood, so they went to the training camps.

But most of the warriors were defeated in the easy-mode trial. They were coming out bruised and injured. None of them remained unscathed.

A few of them had bleeding injuries. Yet they immediately went to the medic centre to get treated.

The next warrior from the line entered the puppet hall.
