[AUS Origins: Seliora and Rose]

Just like with the Ravel family, there was supposed to be some bloodshed here. But we'll get to that in a bit...

There wasn't much of a difference on Seliora's end, but Rose's change would've affected her by a lot. What I originally had in mind was Rose getting possessed by a demon in the middle of the war (she was left behind to protect Seliora at the time), and then the demon finally reveals itself and kills Seliora.

There were two reasons I changed this, though one could've just been changed. One, the reason I talked about previously—villains always fucking up stuff for the MCs and them getting their revenge.

Second, I didn't want "demons" to be an evil race. As you've seen throughout the novel so far, all races coexist inside kingdoms (except some kingdoms like Caldris and Thalaor). I mean, if you look at it, humans can do way more evil things than demons—same with elves, and even angels. It's just a matter of who you are. So I made it so that each race is equal, with each having unique inherited abilities for their race, and their evilness getting decided by their actions. I've just had enough of demons that are somehow feared by everyone, but just don't do any evil shit at all.

There was actually one other reason: I was too lazy to think of a reason for Rose getting possessed by a demon :)
