On the plane, a flight attendant in a uniform and black stockings was dutifully organizing the overhead compartments. Her long legs in black stockings were quite a sight.

About two hours later, the plane landed.

Even though Zhonghai is also on the coast, this seaside city in the Northeast felt completely different.

It was crisp and refreshing, with a pleasant climate.

By the time they got off the plane, it was already evening, so they went straight to their hotel.

After he hung up, there was a knock on his door.

He didn’t have to guess; he knew it was Fang Jie.

By now, Fang Jie had changed her clothes. She was wearing a long spaghetti-strap dress, and she seemed much more relaxed.

The fair skin of her chest and her well-defined collarbones immediately caught Lin Jiang’s eye.

"Do you have any plans for tonight?"

"No, you?"

"Want to go grab a bite at one of the seaside food stalls? It would be a shame to come all this way and not have some seafood."

"Yeah, let’s go."

After quickly getting ready, the two of them left. They didn’t rush to eat, however, deciding to take a stroll along the beach first.

The sea breeze billowed her skirt and tousled her long hair. In that moment, she looked several years younger.

A wave of playfulness even came over her, and she began to pile up sand by the shore.

After walking for a while, they sat down on the sand, and Fang Jie looked at Lin Jiang.

"Do you have any general targets in mind? If not, you can use mine. I’ve already picked them out for you."

Lin Jiang nodded. "We can compare notes then. There’s no need to waste too much time on this."

Knowing where the lots were originally auctioned allowed him to be strategic with his site selection, saving a great deal of time.

"Don’t tell me you have other business to attend to?"

"As it happens, there’s an acquisition. I’ll go talk to them and kill two birds with one stone."

"If you hadn’t mentioned it, I would’ve almost forgotten your real job. I thought you just ran a media company."

Fang Jie looked at Lin Jiang, intrigued.

"I can’t believe it’s been this long and I’ve forgotten to ask what you do, President Lin. Do you mind if I ask?"

"Of course not," Lin Jiang said with a smile.

"Berkeley Mall is mine. You’ve probably heard of it, right?"

"Huh?"

Fang Jie looked at Lin Jiang in shock. "Berkeley is yours?"

"I also have a processing plant that mainly handles beef. The rest are some restaurant chains and the media company."

"Your business is that diverse?"

"Calm down. Try not to worship me blindly."

"But when you’re like this, it’s hard not to admire you," Fang Jie said, looking at Lin Jiang.

"So, the company you’re here to acquire—what industry is it in?"

"The livestock industry, for food processing. I’m planning to expand production and establish a presence for my business in the northern region."

"I see."

Fang Jie stood up, patting the sand off her backside. "Come on, let’s go eat. I’m starving."

"You’re wet."

"Huh?"

Fang Jie froze instantly, her expression turning awkward.

’I know my own body best. Lin Jiang hasn’t said or done a thing, so there’s no way I’m wet.’

"Impossible! You’re just messing with me." Fang Jie gave Lin Jiang a playful glare.

"I’m pretty sure I’d know if I was aroused."

"I was talking about your dress. The sand is a little damp."

"Uh..."

Fang Jie was embarrassed. She casually glanced back at the hem of her skirt. There was indeed a damp patch, but it wasn’t a big deal.

"If you could really get a spot that big wet, you’d have to be exceptionally gifted."

"You’re impossible! We’re not talking about this anymore!"

The sky gradually darkened. Not far away were the brightly lit food stalls. The two of them went over, found an empty table, and ordered some food for dinner.

At night, the food stalls mainly served seafood and barbecue.

In addition to stir-fried seafood, Lin Jiang ordered some raw oysters. Everything tasted great.

After their meal, they walked for a while in the sea breeze, and Fang Jie spotted a mall nearby.

"Of course! You traveled so light and came all by yourself. You didn’t bring any of the essentials you need to change daily, so I obviously had to get some for you."

"But of course. I’m a mother, after all. This is nothing."

Fang Jie looked at Lin Jiang. "But it seems like guys rarely wear white ones. You don’t either, right?"

"Any other dark colors are fine."

"Okay."

Fang Jie selected them carefully, her expression focused. She felt the fabric of each pair, as if trying to pick out the most comfortable ones.

To any onlookers, they probably looked just like a married couple.

Quickly, Fang Jie picked out seven pairs of underwear and some socks, fully demonstrating her shopping prowess.

After making her selections, Fang Jie moved on to the women’s section to pick something out for herself.

Discreetly, Fang Jie grabbed a thong. She thought she had been quick enough for Lin Jiang not to notice, but in reality, he had taken in the whole thing.
