Chapter 426 - 260: Diving Time with Fang Jie

Happy times are always fleeting. As the sun began to set, the cruise ship started its return journey.

A few of the fathers invited Lin Jiang to dinner that evening as a thank you for his earlier treat.

Lin Jiang didn’t put on any airs and had a few drinks with the other fathers that night.

Upstairs, Fang Jie brought her child to room 302, where Wei Xue was packing her clothes.

"Can you watch my kid for a bit? I need to go out."

Wei Xue’s gaze turned suggestive.

"You two aren’t sneaking out for a date, are you?"

"Of course not. You’re overthinking it."

Wei Xue looked Fang Jie up and down. "It’s already this late. Where are you going?"

"Don’t ask so many questions. Just watch my child for me."

"Nope. If you don’t tell me, I’m not helping you."

"That’s not cool. Are you trying to take advantage of the situation?"

"You could put it that way. Now, hurry up and tell me, are you going out on a date? If you don’t tell me, I’m not watching your kid."

Fang Jie rolled her pretty eyes. "He’s downstairs drinking with the other parents. What kind of date would that be?"

"Ooh, look at you! You even know that? You two must have talked a lot."

"It’s not a big deal. Don’t be so gossipy."

"Then hurry up and tell me what’s going on. We’ve known each other for so many years. It wouldn’t be right for you to keep secrets from me."

Fang Jie was reluctant to say. ’But wait,’ she thought, ’I’m going diving with Lin Jiang tomorrow, and I’ll need her to watch my kid. There’s no way I can hide it, so I might as well just tell her now.’

"It’s nothing, really. Remember I told you I wanted to learn how to go diving? Well, as luck would have it, he has a diving certification and is apparently really good. So we agreed to go diving together tomorrow."

"Holy crap, no way! Things are moving so fast! You’re already going diving together!"

"I didn’t expect it either. It really is a coincidence."

"So, where are you going now? Waiting for him to come back to discuss diving techniques?"

"I didn’t bring a swimsuit on this trip. I’m going to the shop downstairs to buy one."

"How could I miss out on something like this? I’m going with you."

Wei Xue was even more excited than Fang Jie. "We can just leave them here to watch cartoons. Besides, there are teachers on every floor."

Fang Jie glanced at the two children.

"Alright, but let’s be quick."

After putting on a cartoon for the kids, the two women said hello to the teacher on duty in the hallway and headed to the shop downstairs.

The shop’s selection of swimwear wasn’t exhaustive, but it covered most styles.

There were conservative skirted one-pieces, bikinis, and even some sexy, strappy styles, but Fang Jie immediately passed on the last kind.

’At my age, something that wild isn’t appropriate.’

"Look at those string-tie ones. With your figure, I think they’d look amazing on you."

"Absolutely not. Our relationship hasn’t reached that stage yet."

"It’s only been a few days, and you’re already going diving together. I bet in another week or two, something will happen between you two. It’s just a matter of time. You might as well get something sexy and let him see that great body of yours."

"No way, no way. That style is too revealing. There’s barely a palm’s worth of fabric. It wouldn’t cover what needs to be covered."

"That black bikini would work too. It’s flattering," Wei Xue said, pointing to the black swimsuit next to it.

"A two-piece like this... isn’t it a little too bold?"

"Girl, you’re going diving, not swimming laps at a public pool! Why buy something so conservative!" Wei Xue said, rolling her eyes.

"Besides, it’s just the two of you diving. No other men will see you. What are you afraid of?"

Wei Xue’s words made Fang Jie waver. It did make sense.

"So I should get that one?"

"What are you waiting for? Go buy it already."

With Wei Xue’s encouragement, Fang Jie didn’t hesitate any longer. She bought the two-piece swimsuit and they returned to the third floor.

"You go on and watch the kids. I’ll come back for her later."

"What else are you going to do?"

"I haven’t been to the salon in a while, so it’s all grown back. I need to go back and shave," Fang Jie said.

"If I took my daughter back with me and she barged into the bathroom asking ’Mommy, what are you doing?’ I’d have no way to explain it to her."

"That’s true. That’s the one downside of a bikini, you have to tidy up beforehand. But..."

A wicked smile crept onto Wei Xue’s face, a clear sign she was up to no good.

"But what...?"

"What if you left a little... you know, to give him a hint?"

"Get out of here! Can you not be so dirty-minded?"

"What’s the big deal? I’m telling you, men’s tastes are all over the place. Some like a lot, some like none at all. Maybe if you leave a little, the sight of it will make his desire explode."

"Oh, just go away. Your mind is full of such nonsense."

Reaching her door, Fang Jie went back to her own room. She couldn’t wait to change into the swimsuit and check herself out in the mirror.

"They’re sagging a little..."

She muttered to herself, then used her hands to lift them up.

"They still look pretty big like this..."

After assessing her chest, Fang Jie turned around.

"My butt is still okay. I need to start slowly increasing the intensity of my workouts. If my butt starts to sag too, I’m a lost cause..."

’His body seems to be in good shape too. If possible, maybe we could work out together in the future.’

"How does it grow back so fast..."

Looking at the black stubble peeking out from the triangle area, Fang Jie grumbled. She then took an eyebrow razor from her bag, slipped off the swimsuit, and got to work.
